I'm fairly new to making a boot animation for my device, and was just wondering if there an easy-ish guide which will allow me to install it using aroma?
I don't have that much experience in this sort of thing, so any help would be great!

Hey I saw the link at xda of a list of custom boot animations i really liked the transformers one but i didnt find the autobot version. Does anyone have to link to it? Also I rather flash than do the whole adb commands. If I can get the signed zip that would be great since im on cm6. THX
I have only seen the decepticon boot animation for the evo.
I'd recommend learning to use ADB though! You can't flash everything!
Transformers
Can i get the link plssssssssssssssssssss
:d
hello,
a while back I found the zip for a unique Nexus style boot splash, but the Google coloured logo was all in a cyan colour, I think it was meant for CM users,
wanted to flash it as my boot screen, and could not find it anywhere, was wondering if someone had the zip to flash for the custom boot splash
and if its as easy as just flashing the zip from clockwork recovery or if there are slightly diff. directions to get it working, i'll attach a photo to see if anyone recognizes it, or can even make it!
I have an Evo 4g running CM 7.1.0

would appreciate any help, cheers

I hope u found out by now how to do this but just use any root explorer to paste the new bootanimation.zip in /system/media and set permissions then rebbot to enjoy alternatively that specific boot animation is available thru ROM toolbox lite in the play store along with many other choices.

There is one like that in the Rom toolbox app from the market. I use that app and it had that boot animation. It installs it for you too, no recovery needed.

Hey everyone,
I am trying to throw together a modified stock kernel from UCALH9 but I'm having trouble getting boot animation support because of the samsung qmg files. Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do in order to nullify the Samsung boot animation and make it a traditional boot animation? I've attached what I have so far. It's the kernel with adb, init.d, rooted and insecure. Thanks
Edit 10/30: Thanks to NunHugger for helping me solve this issue. You're the man.
So, here we go - I really liked the new CyanogenMod logo they outlined here. So, I made a boot logo (pre-bootanimation) with it. It is simpler than stock, unobtrusive and quite amazing.
Just flash this zip in recovery, and whala! Profit!
Here's a sneak peek -

You should actually be using these boot.img tools:

And maybe the dd binary from your zip. I could make an example for you.... But my time is limited.
I've seen some ROMs using this boot animation and I must prefer it as opposed to the stock T-Mobile animations, so I decided to package these into a CWM/TWRP package so that you can use it regardless of what ROM you decide to use. I checked to see if this had been posted before, but wasn't able to find anything. While I tested it with the T-Mobile version (SM-N910T) it will work with any variant.
To apply the mod just flash your chosen zip file in either CWM or TWRP.

Standard w/ Boot Sound Disabled: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001609633
Reset To Stock Animations: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001609634
Enjoy!
P.S. I am fully aware that the stock animation is basically this with the absurdly bright T-Mobile screen at the end, that's why I don't like it!
Thanks for this I personally prefer this one

No need, it is just the T-Mobile one without the absurdly bright T-Mobile screen. Its just the sparkly Samsung logo. Eventually I'll get around to getting the Lollipop boot animation installed.
bootloop if you put a kernel
i flash it on top of kk kernel and i get boot loops

Then you did something wrong, I'm using it with FireKatN4 + KT-NOTE4 and it works great. This does not modify anything that would cause a bootloop. My spidey sense tells me that you didn't clear your Cache/Dalvik when you flashed the kernel like the instructions clearly tell you to do.
Thanks
Is this a flash able zip or do we replace the boot animation file ?

I was able to change the boot animation without flashing.
That doesn't get rid of the annoying jingle
