hello,
a while back I found the zip for a unique Nexus style boot splash, but the Google coloured logo was all in a cyan colour, I think it was meant for CM users,
wanted to flash it as my boot screen, and could not find it anywhere, was wondering if someone had the zip to flash for the custom boot splash
and if its as easy as just flashing the zip from clockwork recovery or if there are slightly diff. directions to get it working, i'll attach a photo to see if anyone recognizes it, or can even make it!
I have an Evo 4g running CM 7.1.0

I hope u found out by now how to do this but just use any root explorer to paste the new bootanimation.zip in /system/media and set permissions then rebbot to enjoy alternatively that specific boot animation is available thru ROM toolbox lite in the play store along with many other choices.

There is one like that in the Rom toolbox app from the market. I use that app and it had that boot animation. It installs it for you too, no recovery needed.

I know we have a thread for all the ROMs but we just got included in the new update for ROM manager so the EVO is supported. What do we need to do to start getting our ROMs on there? If there is anything I can do please let me know!

To get added to the ROM list, and use the OTA system and customizers, etc, devs should follow the instructions here:
http://www.koushikdutta.com/2010/03/rom-manager-and-third-party-roms.html
There's like 2 dozen ROMs for Droid listed (as well as a bunch for N1/Dream/Sapphire). Hoping to build up the Evo community on it as well!

I thought rom manager required flashing it's own customer recovery. Is this not the case anymore or has clock figured out how to flash a recovery to the evo???

All I did was flash a rom manger friendly rom and installed it. Went to market and downloaded rom manager. Then loaded it and downloaded clock boot from there. Went through that process.
Now I just click reboot to recovery from rom manager and it boots me right into the custom clock recovery and you can do however from there.
It's worth every penny!!!!!

not yet but toast and maejrep say they do have a method to flash /recovery its just manual and includes an older version eng hboot.
the clockwork rom manager method basically puts itself into an update.zip which is signed so the stock HTC recovery loads it and bam! custom recovery appears!
im still wondering how hes able to sign an update.zip file which HTC allows cuz IMO, that was the missing key!

It's just a test signed zip that does a hot recovery replace (it doesn't actually flash). You guys are running a Test HTC image, so test keys work on it.
Will this work with Froyo?

I was going to test it and I keep running into problems.
Maybe it's the ROM Manager? It won't auto reboot (maybe I don't get the whole idea) and if I manually try to update it with the recovery mode with update.zip, it fails immediately.
Anyone else having this issue?
I notice that when installing the recovery, there is a update.zip place in the root of the SD card. I think that is the recovery file. Anyway, I did a reboot to recovery mode, and it worked no problem. Reboot the phone again, it will boot back into android OS.
Man..this one sick program but brilliant.
PS. Got the paid version also. I think this will comes in handy later.

yea the hot recovery flash is not a big surprise ...
aaahhhh, the test HTC image part with the test keys, that makes so much sense!
sorry for the n00bness, still new to signing zips. where can test keys which work on the Test HTC image be obtained from?

The ones found in the android source
does anyone know if rom manager will work if you used the unrevoked method to root?
This won't work on unrevoked. It requires rooting via toast's method using the test image. You can find instructions for this method in the sticky thread pg 1 of this forum, how to root the HTC EVO.

Hey I saw the link at xda of a list of custom boot animations i really liked the transformers one but i didnt find the autobot version. Does anyone have to link to it? Also I rather flash than do the whole adb commands. If I can get the signed zip that would be great since im on cm6. THX
I have only seen the decepticon boot animation for the evo.
I'd recommend learning to use ADB though! You can't flash everything!
Transformers
Can i get the link plssssssssssssssssssss

Hey guys, whenever I try to run a flashable bootanim zip, Clockwork gives me some message about "amend scripting" and I'm forced to set my phone into recovery. Could this be a problem with the .zip or the ROM?

A lot of people have been having problems wtih Clockworkmod recently. Either try flashing an older version of CWM and try again or go with Amon Ra. Are you sure the bootanimation is flashable?

For one, you can't flash bootanimations, the have to be pushed/moved tot he right folder. Second, the scripting error is because the file was written using Amend[old] scripting and clockworkmod 3.0+ uses Edify[new] scripting, and doesn't support Amend.
That's not true u can make a boot animation flashable. The CWM issue is correct, Amon Ra seems to have far less issues

Thanks I'll try Amon Ra then see what happens.
Edit: I flashed Amon Ra's Supersonic Recovery, and the boot animation is running fine. Thanks for the help guys.

Hello, I flashed your zip files and ended up with a blank boot up screen now. Can you suggest a solution to this problem. Is there any way to UN-flash your zips?
SGH-T399N not working
I'm having trouble getting this working on a Samsung Galaxy Light (SGH-T399N). Running KitKat 4.4.2. My screen resolution is 480x800 so that's what i'm resizing the animations to but I can't get previews to work in the Boot Animations app and when I boot, it just has a black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

bootanimation
I need some help?!!
I tried the bootanimation4u and the samsungani.
twrp flash failed.
on both files.
I moved the files to system/media and I flashed them, I have busy box also installed.
I have a tmobile Samsung galaxy note 4, I am trying to get rid of that tmobile and Samsung boot animation.
I am running on firekatn4deodexv5.
I used total commander to write on system/media.
it wrote the files there.
I tried es file explorer and I cant write to system/media.
I do not know if its because the system/media is not mounted?
can anyone help me?
bootanimation location is system/media but its not writing there.
when I preview I see Samsung and tmobile logo.
should I just delete theses files from the system/media?
in system/bin I see the file bootanimation.
any help, thank you.
I am new to this, so try to be simple, thanks.

Could it be my rom?!,
I have samsungani in system/bin
At first i though, the bootanimation wasnot writing to sys/media

doesn´t work on i9305
hi i´m using an s3lte i9305 with rXTREME-KK 2.1. I want to us a custom boot animation but when i flash the Bootanimation4U.Samsungani.Only.zip (i have bootanimation in bin) it still shows the stock animation(i set the permissions like they are suposed to be).
Not work
Does not work with Samsung galaxy SM-T230. Black screen. Flash with TWRP.
I tried also on a SG Note Edge all kind of methods but it was not working.
I think that for 4.4. we need to put the bootanimation path (/system/media) into the /system/bin/bootanimation file. This is what I understood so far and for each device there is a specific bootanimation file.
Best regards.
Custom Boot Animations. I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Stellar running 4.0.2 Ice Cream Sandwich (I had to Odin back to a stock ROM last week lol). I have the bootanimation.zip in System/bin so I downloaded and flashed the Bootanimation4U.Samsungani.Only. It did it's job I guess because after reboot the boot animation was one I chose from ROM Toolbox, however it got stuck in a boot loop. at this point I could turn my screen on and off but that was all so I had to pull the battery, then retry boot recovery multiple times (including resetting from odin mode) before getting back into TWRP. I tryed wiping dalvik cash and cash because I was dumb and didn't when I flashed, and it still boot looped (this time couldn't turn off screen)so I went ahead and recovered with TWRP.
I'm so close I want custom boot animation so bad but I think I should get a little helpful advice before I go on lol.
-I haven't tried flashing the Gears-Bootanim.zip after the samsungani.zip, should I try that? Would it be safer to disable/remove the custom boot animas from ROM Toolbox?
*After recovering with TWRP I went through my files to verify these, this is before adding any files*
-have bootanimation.zip, and also the samsungani in System/bin
-have bootanimation.zip, bootsamsung.qmg, and bootsamsungloop.qmg in system/media
I pretty sure that I put the original boot animation in system/media or backed up to before I even messed with any of those files so I assume the custome boot that came from ROM Toolbox was enabled through the program or something. But hey at least we know the zip allowed the custom boot animation lol. What should I do guys?
Flashing problem
Every time I try to flash things like this (fixes, bootanims, excluding SU apps, those are ok), an error comes up, be it ClockWorkMod recovery, or stock recovery that does the flashing. My phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i
I also have that problem after flesh bootanimation4u.zip .....how I get back to bootanimation.qmg

note 4 bootanimation
Thank you for this information.. i just want to make sure. Will this work with the note 4? The files for this model is bootsamsung.qmg
I have tried everything and cannot change the bootanimation.

Twrp recovery
Do you have any advice or suggestions for this model?

Not able to change bootanimation
Okay so i'm new to this so i don't have much knowledge..
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy A7 with twrp recovery. I installed bootanimation4u.zip and it succeeded.
When i rebooted my phone, no bootanimation came and it stick to the samsung bootscreen and after some time it started.
I installed a third-party app called BOOTANIMATION ROOT as said.I installed an animation to all the locations but none of them is working.
Plzzz help.
Thanks in Advance
Ayush
I've seen some ROMs using this boot animation and I must prefer it as opposed to the stock T-Mobile animations, so I decided to package these into a CWM/TWRP package so that you can use it regardless of what ROM you decide to use. I checked to see if this had been posted before, but wasn't able to find anything. While I tested it with the T-Mobile version (SM-N910T) it will work with any variant.
To apply the mod just flash your chosen zip file in either CWM or TWRP.

Reset To Stock Animations: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001609634
Enjoy!
P.S. I am fully aware that the stock animation is basically this with the absurdly bright T-Mobile screen at the end, that's why I don't like it!
Thanks for this I personally prefer this one

Then you did something wrong, I'm using it with FireKatN4 + KT-NOTE4 and it works great. This does not modify anything that would cause a bootloop. My spidey sense tells me that you didn't clear your Cache/Dalvik when you flashed the kernel like the instructions clearly tell you to do.
Thanks
