If you look at this thread you'll be able to see exactly how to do it and learn how to do other things when using the app.

Or you can upload at an image host, and use the img bb code...
There are a bunch of good host apps available in play store...
I prefer this because a lot of times the pics that are natively uploaded do not show up due to issues with tapatalk's server...

I agree .... app makes it easier
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
you could always use an image hoster like imgur.com
The most easy way which I prefer to use on my phone is just a SIMPLE APP.
Its name is URLy:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=urly+android
Its a free app. So no fuss.
Just open up your picture, select Share, then select URLy and upload to any site of your choice (huge selection available)....when uploaded it directly copies the URL of the pic to your clipboard.
And then just open up XDA app and paste the code in the "Insert Image Link" !

Hello Nexusers
I hope it's the right place to post it, it's related to ICS 4.0 and the newest Gmail app.
Some time ago I decided to check an .xlsx file through Gmail app. It sent the file straight to pre loaded I guess, ThinkFree Office. What happened next amazed me a lot, ThinkFree asked me about the password to the file. The thing is there is no password because I can easily open it on my PC.
Can anybody check if Calc .xlsx files can be opened on your phone?
Cheers

I think this is dependent on you having something like Docs2go or some other program that can open an xlsx file.

You are correct. It's entirely up to what apps you have that handle them. The included ThinkFree might not, I'm still waiting for mine so can't test it.
Depends what app you have available to open it. You should be able to open it with Google Docs if you have it installed.

I've got Google Docs installed but can't integrate it with Gmail. Only option is Open or Save. There is no pop up with an app to choose. I don't know how to integrate it. Anybody?

Hey
I can't upload images from the XDA Premium app. I have been able to upload them in small format (which, let's be honest, sucks), but after todays awesome update, i can't upload at all. It says i have to log in which is funny, and then it asks me to contact an admin.
Any ideas?

BUMP. Where are you Mr. Admin or mod?
Check or post in the xda app thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841646
It's a sticky so you don't see it unless you go to that tab in the app. That's always really bugged me!
Got an update on the app now. Gonna check if it's working now.
Edit: "You need to login to post images" and "Error, couldn't contact server, bla bla"

Use tapatalk - I don't have problems with that. You obviously have to pay again though.
I don't mind paying, but i've posted in the thread you linked to, so i'll wait and see if there's a way to fix it

There was a glitch with mobile XDA, preventing uploads.

Seems like jpg works fine.. Png ones won't upload...
Having an issue with uploading both png or jpg files with the XDA Premium app from the market. Using Xperia S and tried selecting images via stock Gallery and QuickPics.

Hey guys just wondering if there is a way to view the source code for a webpage like on a PC. Usually (on windows) if you're on a website and you go to View and hit Source it's there. Don't see it on stock 4.1.2 browser or chrome. Is there a way?

you mean the .htm or html file?
Copy its address and add it to your browser, it works well like that!
Not sure what you mean, but usually it just opens a webpage that looks like notepad and has the source for the page you're on. That's all I'm looking for

OK!
if it can't automatically give you the option of the browsers then go to the direction where is the file e.g. index.htm and copy its address /sdcard/website/index.htm and put it to browser's url bar and it will open the file via browser..
"View Web Source" from the Google Play Store

Still confused about what you're saying, sorry, so I have to go to where what file is exactly? Real sorry man I spent most of the night backing up windows and trying to dual boot Ubuntu. Few beers deep ATM....lol

the easiest and fastest way to view source is download Firefox browser. It has a free plugin in its store equivalent that allows you to view source in the browser itself without closing the site you are viewing.
Source: I use it.
Please press thanks if this helps.

thanks I guess that sorta works. It only displays like 3 or 4 lines of text and then I have to scroll the whole rest of the way across. Like 90% of the screen is blank and unused. Also if I try to zoom in everything disappears same if I scroll too fast. :/

Add view-source: in front of URL
Android versions of Firefox, Kiwi and Chrome all allow you to put "view-source:" on the URL line BEFORE the https:// (or http://).
Example:
view-source:https://forum.xda-developers.com
Somebody know how to get this app.
Because it's not on the European Google play

Yup. But it's not available in my country also. Somehow I managed to install it. Its pretty good.
Specially after Google announced animated GIFs.

A user is reporting that the app stores the animations only on Sony's site directly. Nothing on the device itself. And sharing on sites like Google+ isn't allowed. Is that true for your case or is it something just the user couldn't figure out?
I've just tried it briefly and haven't signed up for sharing at the Sony server, but I did find the gif on my phone. So no problem there.
Above the feed, to the right it says SD card, there you'll see your local photos.
Most annoying thing is that the app starts directly into the new photo feed at the server and it will always download and cache the first photo. So after no time at all the cache was around 60mb and no way to delete it except from using a file manager.

Hey guys I did some digging around and found this nice little app. Og YouTube downloader. For those people out there who want to be able to download videos straight on your android device. Works on all devices that I know of.
Here's the link to where I found it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213945
Obviously i didnt make this app. Credit goes to Osama Ghareeb for hacking up the app and making this possible.
I tested this app on my n4 and it does indeed work.
I do not provide support for any issues you may or may not have. Please direct your questions by following the link I provided.
Credit goes out to CraftyCreature for finding another YouTube downloader which works perfectly. You can find the app here.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ytdownloader/
I also uploaded the app here too if you get too lazy to go to the actual site. Lol
As always I, OsamaGhareeb, nor anyone is responsible if this app blows up your phone, kills your family or burns down your house.
Without further or do..here's the app guys. Enjoy
Note*
Any version after v1 og youtube will be in fact called just youtube.apk for now one. That means you guys will have to install this app as a system/app. You will need to delete the original youtube apk and paste the new one in its place. Set permissions to rwx r r, save and reboot.
Works great many thanks! Wish it had a download as mp3 only option then it would be perfect.
Why does it ask me to sign in through ogyoutube downloader is it trying to steal my information...

The same could be said when you log in to use Google play, Google music, maps, YouTube etc.. Why are you surprised when you have known they ask you to login into their apps.
Edit: I will update the app from time to time or whenever the dev updates it himself. I will provide an updated link as well.
Thanks for the awesome app

Not surprised at all just saying I'd like the official YouTube app to ask for my login.. I just don't get why a simple app to download YouTube videos would require me to log in after I'm already logged into YouTube. Don't take this offensively. I just take my Google account serious. I purchase many apps and don't want my account hacked. Thanks for sharing the developers app though.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Its the same YouTube app from Google. Its just been hacked to allow you to download videos onto your android device. No worries. You could always use lucky patcher to modify permissions if you feel the need to be totally safe.
Way better than tubeMate. Simple and easy to use. Thanks.
