Somebody know how to get this app.
Because it's not on the European Google play

It is a paid app. If it available also we can't share it in here. It is against forum rules.

Yup. But it's not available in my country also. Somehow I managed to install it. Its pretty good.

Specially after Google announced animated GIFs.

A user is reporting that the app stores the animations only on Sony's site directly. Nothing on the device itself. And sharing on sites like Google+ isn't allowed. Is that true for your case or is it something just the user couldn't figure out?

I've just tried it briefly and haven't signed up for sharing at the Sony server, but I did find the gif on my phone. So no problem there.
Above the feed, to the right it says SD card, there you'll see your local photos.
Most annoying thing is that the app starts directly into the new photo feed at the server and it will always download and cache the first photo. So after no time at all the cache was around 60mb and no way to delete it except from using a file manager.

Adfree Android not blocking ads within Dolphin HD

I'm not sure if it's a problem with my phone or the apps themselves. Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this problem?
Also sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum.
Sent from my MK16a using Tapatalk 2
my experience with adfree is, that this app filters not all ad´s. but a lot of. I think it is important what information is inside the host files which you must download. Maybe it is a good idea that you renew this file every day. Try it.

If you want Ad-free app to block apps, then you must be download n installing the host files regularly...
Everyday, new adds are posted and Ad-free doesn't recognize that automatically...
So, open the app, select BOOT NORMALLY and select "DOWNLOAD & INSTALL HOSTS"
That shud keep those pestering ads away...
I found when using it that it also blocked web sites from loading like mediafire... Think because it its ad heavy.so you may find it causes other issues.

Actually I do update it everyday. It filters everything else except for Dolphin HD.

You might also want to consider AdAway from one of the Dev here on XDA. Available off the market Great host file collection. I usually update once a week.

I love this app, totally recommend it!

I've been using it for quite a while as well. Best one I've seen to far and even speedup some of my apps as they don't have to load ads from other sources. LOVE IT.
I've switched to Adaway. This is much better! I have one complaint, but it's a minute one. The ads are gone but the banners where they were are still there. Instead of an ad it just shows a message saying something about "not able to load." does anyone know how to get rid of that? It's not a huge issue but it'd be nice if it was gone.

That depends entirely on the app.
If there's a placeholder for banners, nothing can remove it, but the developer himself.

Is IceFilms down or is it the app?
Hope it's temporary, this app was my life!

Edit:
Dev, 20 Oct
Hey Everyone, just wanted to apologize to everyone who's grown to love this app. Unfortunately my day job has been keeping me too busy to devote any real time to updating this app. However, I am still looking for any seasoned Java/Android developers who are willing to help out. If that's you, please drop me a line. In case I don't find anyone willing/able to help out or commit, I am hoping to release parts of this app's code. I'd love to release all the code to this app, however, large parts of it is commercial code that I can't make public. But I am planning on releasing the parts that seem to change constantly (ie: the parts that handle parsing the various file hosts' websites) so that anyone will be able to help out. It's gonna take a bit of time to change the project around to make that possible, but at least there's light at the end of the tunnel
Thanks,
Harry

I agree 1 channel seems to work better than ice films usually. In addition, there are some android apps that come and go that access the sites 1channel index's. Recently there was one called tv portal that was just pulled and currently there is one called TV Stream
XMBC works well but last time i used it which was about month ago it absolutely kills batteries and loading plugins like 1 channel can take quite a while.
Also here is a good place to get ice stream although as others have said it is not currently working
http://slideme.org/application/ice-stream
XBMC is too advanced for me, and not optimized for touch.
But i found mega stream on 1Mobile Market (great app btw) and it's almost as simple as Ice Stream.
Any fix
same thing happening for me, I think it's a problem server-wise from icefilms, anybody have a fix yet for it though?

Dev has shut down server for app, try Mega Stream (download from 1Mobile Market), XBMC or other website.
Or if you're a dev you could help the dev with the app.
Yeah, using icefilms.info and getting the rapidshare links..then posting them into megastream pro..that's the way i'm doing it.. it takes about 15 seconds longer than the old ice stream app way

Well this sucks!

gReader is the only way I can keep up with Android Police, Android Authority, and a few other news sites. gReader being killed off is only slighly more annoying to me than Google killing off iGoogle.

Most Android adblockers modify the hosts file to do the adblocking.
Sounds like the world is ending in here...
It's really not that big of a deal >.>
Android is open. The store is not. You can do whatever with Android, you just wont be getting it from their store. I don't know why everyone is so upset.
Considering that hosts blocking only works if you have root, I really don't see how this is a problem. If you can root your phone, you can install third-party apks without an issue.
Still, a *****ly move, but Google does make all of their profits selling ads. It is probably AdBlock that killed the fun, since it semi-worked (WiFi only) for non-root users.

Call me a Devil's Advocate here, but what's the big freaking deal with ads in apps????? I mean, I do hate the ones that get pushed as fake notifications with some of the crapware you can get on the market, but I don't consider the regular ones obtrusive... And let's remember, ad revenue is the bread and butter for Google, and a lot of the developers who offer their apps for free...
here's the link for ad-away. i prefer this one since you can customize your lists easily.

I must have been under a rock (or refreshing the Macks Rom thread too often ) but I just realized that the copy of AdFree I've had installed forever was no longer functioning.

It probably does run in the background on boot, unles you AutoStart it off.
On the stock-based ROMs, there's a background service called "SNS" (IIRC) that has the Facebook logo as its icon. This app probably uses that service. SNS can be safely frozen.

IIRC, SNS cannot be disabled via Manage Apps....It must be "frozen" (disabled) via a root tool like Titanium Backup.

I hate how they keep cramming FB and Twitter down our throats. If I wanted to let my friend know that I just took a dump, I'd call him on the phone like normal people.
I am glad to see an even greater number and diversity of apps coming to android, and specifically the Note2. That said, Facebook Home will never have an opportunity to afflict my Note2.
Would be promising if it weren't made by Facebook. The app alone is lucky to still be installed.

OG Youtube Downloader apk

Hey guys I did some digging around and found this nice little app. Og YouTube downloader. For those people out there who want to be able to download videos straight on your android device. Works on all devices that I know of.
Here's the link to where I found it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213945
Obviously i didnt make this app. Credit goes to Osama Ghareeb for hacking up the app and making this possible.
I tested this app on my n4 and it does indeed work.
I do not provide support for any issues you may or may not have. Please direct your questions by following the link I provided.
Credit goes out to CraftyCreature for finding another YouTube downloader which works perfectly. You can find the app here.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ytdownloader/
I also uploaded the app here too if you get too lazy to go to the actual site. Lol
As always I, OsamaGhareeb, nor anyone is responsible if this app blows up your phone, kills your family or burns down your house.
Without further or do..here's the app guys. Enjoy
Note*
Any version after v1 og youtube will be in fact called just youtube.apk for now one. That means you guys will have to install this app as a system/app. You will need to delete the original youtube apk and paste the new one in its place. Set permissions to rwx r r, save and reboot.
Works great many thanks! Wish it had a download as mp3 only option then it would be perfect.

Not surprised at all just saying I'd like the official YouTube app to ask for my login.. I just don't get why a simple app to download YouTube videos would require me to log in after I'm already logged into YouTube. Don't take this offensively. I just take my Google account serious. I purchase many apps and don't want my account hacked. Thanks for sharing the developers app though.
