ANYMODE VIP Slim Stand Case cover - Galaxy Note 10.1 Accessories

Link to EBAY
Paid 57 and shipping... build is pretty good. enjoy the pics. In comparison to the MoKo(TM) Slim-Fit Folio Cover Case the inner micro suede and external faux textured leather is much better (than the Moko).
One thing I don't like is how the bottom of the tablet can not snap to the backing. This leaves is a little loose when using it like a book with pages folded back.
Sorry for the [email protected] review, just got in from work and the bottle of rum is now open

Few more pics.
You may notice the "antibacterial" screen protector which I have place sideways (for demonstration purposes) to show its inability to prevent glare.

That thread was of no help whatsoever. I did search it already, maybe you would like to take a look at both threads.
go for the mesh!
I am going to get the original Samsung mesh case from a Korean ebay seller called shimshop at just 10 bucks shipped.
My experience with many previous phone is when I just get the phone I want to get all the different case and protection for it, but after a year most likely I will remove them all and just use the phone naked as I don't care anymore.
Your phone will not worth much after a year or two anyway, and any case WILL add bulk to the phone.
So I now will get a cheap and slim case for basic scratch protection for at most a year only then forget about any protection.
I'm looking for a shock absorbing thin case, what do you recommend?

[Review] PDair Horizontal Pouch for HTC One X

I got my PDair horizontal pouch for my HOX. Love it!
First of all, in my opinion, carrying phone in a pouch on your belt is the best place for it - it's safe, accessible, and there's no need for ugly cases.
Pics are below. Here are some points:
Perfect quality - no defects at all, these guys know how to manufacture quality stuff. I could easily lie that this case costs $80+ if I wanted to =)
100% Natural leather
Coushioned both outside and inside, real pleasant to touch
PERFECT fit for HOX - case was designed from scratch I guess, since it fits so damn well.
Sides have stretchy inserts for ease of access
Inside is made with wrinkled leather - soft and won't leave any residue on the phone.
All corners are covered (!), almost no chance of nicking a corner of your HOX over a table or something
Magnet clip, easily attaches and detaches.
Bottom cut-out, to make it easy to remove the phone quickly
Belt clip is VERY solid. It's full metal wrapped in leather, attached with metal stud. Attached very firmly.
Sown with white thread, looks very cool.
Inexpensive - $29 USD (no tax, free shipping) on their website. Took 2 weeks to deliver though.
Comes in a gift box, wrapped in tissue paper, like a freaking birthday gift. Yeah, seriously.
I highly recommend it. Ditch your plastic cases, just get this - your phone will be safe, and.. naked!

Best heavy-duty and grippy case for GSM Nexus?

Particularly one that can fit the OEM extended battery (which, speaking of, where's the best/cheapest place to get it)?
I'm used to just going for Otterbox, but the one for the Nexus looks ugly and like a complete lint/dirt magnet (the notification light cut-out part particularly). I already have a thin/light case on the way, which I got before I realized how small my hands are and how cautious I am about not dropping to phone due to a lack of grip when using one-handed - and it's already dropped once and left a tiny scratch on the back...and I've never dropped my phone before getting a Nexus.
So...recommendations? I read about Ballistic and Aegis cases a bit but aren't familiar with them at all. Seidio cases look nice, but no idea what kind of protection they offer. Anything with a plain black base is preferable, color accents would be nice (including pink if it's not too gaudy) - anything with a light base (white especially) is out.
I think the Trident Kraken is the most protective case out there. It's not very grippy b/c of the plastic being on the outside though. And it has a kickstand

It looks grippy and rubbery from pictures, it's just a hard/smooth plastic on the outside? It looks nice otherwise, thanks. And is the kickstand plastic or metal?
I bought an Otterbox Defender series for Galaxy Nexus. It is fitting both the standard and the stock extended battery. It is the only case that has a tough protective material for the display also. Of course, it is stealing a little of the clarity, but it is a fair trade for the toughness that is providing.

How's the material on the back? I had two Otterbox Commuter cases and found the back to be way too slippery/smooth (it was fine since the phones were small enough to grip easily). And is it possible to remove the screen protector? I already have a good matte screen protector on.
At the moment I'm kinda leaning toward the Trident Kraken for basically being a two-part case and being kinda nice-looking too.
The material on the back is a VERY grippy silicone. No plastic on the outside.
It is possible to remove the screen protector (I've seen other people doing it) but why in the world would you like to do it?
I bough the case to take the phone out on my mountain biking rides where I really need a tough screen protector not for the scratches but for the rocks .
I also have a XO screen protector on the display, for regular use.
I'm not using the tough case daily .. it is transforming the phone in the life signs detector used by the Earth crew in Stargate Atlantins

I just recompiled what you wrote ... the otterbox IS two part case .. a polycarbonate case (which has the screen protector) which is fitting in a silicone enclosure ... and you also get a polycarbonate holster for the whole assembly
Try out the Seidio Convert case. I use it while at work and it is a pretty nice case!

I've got the Ballistic. Seriously, it's awesome. I don't fear dropping it and it gives much more protection than the commuter. Says it was designed for the non gsm version, but my gsm with stock battery work perfect, so I guess with the extended it will also work. Very good grip on the back, seriously with the shell and silicon I don'T even think about the grip I sometimes just want to drop it lol. Corners = win.
Also, It looks manly. Fits in pocket, corners sometimes make it harder to pull out/in if you're sitting.
I would try the Seidio convert only if I decide to buy the extended. Looks beastly.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE_Z31IIByw
I don't care for the screen protector built-in the Defender since I already have a matte screen protector that diminishes the screen quality (and having a clear/glossy protector on top of it would also defeat the purpose of the anti-glare and silky feeling of the matte protector), and while I'm sold in the protection, I'm not sold on the looks of the front (the area around the LED is a bit much if you ask me, and seems like it'd make it difficult to see the LED at certain angles).
The belt clip/holster on any case (Defender included) are useless to me, but a kickstand (that doesn't require a belt clip) is very nice...and as a result I'm kinda stuck between the Seidio Active with kickstand (for price) and Trident Kraken (for looks and being two-part; being able to get different-colored bases for cheap is a huge plus).
Any other suggestions with kickstands would be nice, and I do appreciate the other input/suggestions; while I'm certainly not against multiple cases, I only have money for one and want it to last at least a month.
And yeah, "manly" looks aren't exactly a pro for me =P
I bought the Defender in pink so could use the extended battery, and I wanted something rugged. My husband got the Trident Kraken. His looks nicer but he complains that it is too slippery. Not sure if there is a perfect case out there

Got mine from a Korean seller on eBay (think it was shim shop or similar - had good seller ratings). Took a while to arrive but its the real deal.
SGS Hybrid and Zenus cases are fine with the bigger battery, but not very heavy duty.
Trident kraken is by far the most protective and will fit both stock and extended battery. It's not as grippy as the defender but it's by far better quality and the kickstand can be taken out and other accessories like gps mount, bike mount, desk mount, and tripod can be used with the case
I said screw buying a case for my nexus, when I can buy a complete rear housing and battery door for $20 on eBay. When the housing gets scuffed up replace it.

SGS2i9100 white, mainly cases pics and etc gear

hey all. this is just simply pics of sgs2 and cases, covers etc.
all these covers are dirt-cheap! most are foudn thru ebay or amazon. Do not use excessive quoting in any form!
pic 1: standard sgs2 i9100 nordic white version.
pic 2: case-mate clear case cover, very comfy TPU-style case. the stupid triangular indentations on the back seems to helpescape the blemishes coming from simply cleamching the tpu gel onto the glossy finish of the phone. Not that that really means a thing! The clear rim is a nice feature, showing the chrome bezel off the SGS2. The firm grip comes with the tpu style, the bumper protects all the edges and <obviously> the back camera front surface as well. All covers however, do vocer the camera protruding area. Can recommend this cover!
pic 3: This, a glossy clean white case, made of tpu, a lovely cover, this covers never lost it's white for months. Until - I put it in a bag for a few months at max. the result was this cover was stained in several ways, pencils' helping included, yet surprising how this 'storage' made it look real bad, darkened, stained, after being dumped so to speak.
pic4+5: both of these covers have no cut-outs for side buttons. they are not hard to control though. I have certainly tried worse with a SGS3 cover, whereas the side buttons are askew, tilted backwards to the back of the phone. Using TPU cases on SGS2 is quite okay, albeit can be hard. Nowhere the same issue as on the SGS3. Quite acceptable as you will eventualy know where and when to punch those voume and power buttons.
pic 6+7: comparison of the white TPU and the clear TPU case-mate covers,
pic8-9: these show the same TPU cases, and these come with some screen protectors. cases and covers come with a variety of screen protectors. so do these here, and how to categorize those, will be another matter, cos there's so many different ones. and i dont use a single one
pic 10: this show how a textile mini towel can be saved up for later polishing of the screen. And yes, this wil surely overheat your phone if all you do is play TinTin all day. The SGS3 has a way more back panel to give, and fits 'standard' towels fine.
pic 1-2: No sweat!
Pic: 3-5: that white dirt cheap tpu gel case. Nothing bad to say about this case. Other than if you remove it, put it in a tight plastic bag first - otherwise it will not stay white!
this post is about screen protectors.. happens they all look alike, out of the dozens i have.. there is a few matt ones etc. .. so no screen protectors stupidities. swipe along this post then. if you want to believe: swipe it clean frictionless.
some really awesome bigass covers for scouts
This G931. Golla holster is really neat. As many other holsters I did not find it practical in everyday. Which is a great unfortune! this is a great rain repellant pouch. This particular holster fits a variety of phones WITH cases on, which includes SGS2, S-E arc-S, and those sizes. The pouch has an extra zipper pocket at the belt side, which is a WIN!. Several in my family found it useful indeed.
Golla
pic 1-5: GOLLA G1065. this golla pouch is really nice. a sorta denime color, with damaged areas, a badge, a wide belt fitting, double velcro in the front for the front face flap. The credit card deposit is a JOKE, it is not functional, not useful. In general this pouch is very comfy and absolutely a great looking pouch. Only it does not come handy, for at least, me.
This pouch works as well for S-E Arc-S - even with a cover. Are you needing over protection, then this pouch is there to fit that extra belt.
Golla G1065
this is a previous Golla case. G1065. very very the same as to the previous sandy colored golla pouch. this fits a SGS2 as well, including a case. It also fits the S-E- Arc-S. I would not recommend this case.
it has poor rear hooks for straps - certainly a joke with the brutal vinyl look of the rear of the pouch! the supplied neck chain is a joke, just as the attached flimsy hook is. This model has been discontinued i think, for obvious reasons! I owned it and it was a piece of ****!
EDIT: i will ad a wel photos of the HTC Desire Hd in this pouch. IT will happens when it DOES.
Pic 1-4. shows the typical 'vent' case covers. These <supposedly> relieve the heat from the... COOORE. These are comfy feeling cases, they don't do much, their weight amunt to zero, and can be found in any color.
Pic 5-7: The WHITE vent case sent here was for a korean phone. Notice the antenna area, and the enlarged button areas, and the obviously showing MISSING protectionate corner on the right-hand-side (seen from the front).

Hi, are those hard or rubber cases?
Looks very cool, thanks for the ideas

[CASE REVIEW] TETDED Black Leather

Here is the product page: http://www.tetded.com/home/en/xperi...ria-z3-compact-d5803-d5833-caen-lc-black.html
I paid $30USD.

Unboxing
- Case
- Some documentation for warranty
- Nothing else
My thoughts
My first impressions of the case was the lovely leather look. The colour is a fantastic deep Washington Black.
The leather is not as plush as I was hoping. I feel as though the plastic skeleton which maintains shape is a bit too thick, compared to the leather. This doesn't compromise the leather feel, but I would have preferred a softer leather.
(Although, in saying that, there seem to be other cases for the Z3C from TETDED which look softer).
The inside fabric is about 1mm thick microfibre-ish. Its smooth, soft and feels hard wearing; good for something which will be touching my phone.
It fits well to the case, nice and tight. There is no play in the case, except for a very small movement in the bottom left corner of the case (not the top left, oddly).
It might have been nicer if the left hand side of the case covered the micro usb port cover, but thats just me. This doesn't take anything away from the structure of the case, I just thought it would look nicer.
The edges of the leather are well burnished and are flawless. The case feels great in the hand, and provides much needed friction on surfaces as well as while holding the phone.
One awesome thing about this case is that it allows use of the magnetic charger (if the small plate is removed; see pictures).
In terms of the purchasing of the case, it took them a few days to send, and overall I think I received it a week after order - not bad.
Pros
- Fits nicely
- Feels lovely in the hand
- Adds much needed grip
- Works with the magnetic charger!
- Its leather?
Cons
- Not a soft leather
- Not much else really
My rating: 8.5/10
Final words
Overall, I think TETDED did a pretty good job on this case. My one gripe is the lack of softness of the leather, but I suppose this would add thickness to the case (although, I think I would pay the price gladly).
TL;DR: Good case, could be softer, works with the magnetic charger. Nice.
