Hi everybody...
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with the following information about IO Schedulers?
a) best for peformance? (I.e. gaming)
b) best for multitasking?
c) best for saving battery?
Thanks in advance
Recently I searched some info about this topic and these are my thoughs:
a) Noop
b) Sio
c) Not relevant. CPU Governor is key to save battery but not IO scheduler.
True but noop is a bit battery friendly.

Thanks for the answers
Using these schedulers definitely makes a difference

I generally stay with on demand but sometimes use conservative. While I like conservative it seems to sometimes take too long to bump up the processor and will cause a bit of lag after wake up.

I use Interactive 245 - 1113 MHz. It is similar to on demand but is more responsive in increasing CPU speed. I get great battery life, too.
You can read more about governor details here

I've been using interactive and conservative. They've both offered good life. I'm using the streamline5 kernel now with conservative though.

I am bored with my gio because most of high-end games has lag
Does anyone know how to create a governor or a new kernel for better gameplay performance for gio?

OH MY FUC*IN GOD, man, try using performance governor, it set frequency to the max values all time, if game lag, use a new phone
I dont want to change my phone just i want a little bit more from my gio

So, set governor to performance when gaming. It's a stupid governor, like minnax, minmax set the min and the max at your min values, performanche the opposite: example --> performance governor ,Min 245 ,max 800, the frequency will be 800 at all time

you can also set the min value higher
min : 787
max: your highest overclock value
governor: performance
Sorry for maybe off topic but what frequency can fry up my cpu.so i can avoid

once more.
every hardware is different. some can OC to 960 Mhz without reboot problems, some can only get to 860 Mhz. you just need to find out how high you can scale.

Governors:
for good gaming : peformance
for super smooth gaming and 3d games : buy a better phone .

Thanks for your opinions
minmax gov
max overclock 921 mhz
miin overclcok 787 mhz
Minmax set frequency always to min value setted, so always 787, isn't better performance with 800-883?

Hello GN2 Users,
So I've recently been playing with my CPU settings and I've been messing with different governors.
My question to you all is which governor do you like to use and why?
I like On Demand because it seems to give me the same performance with better battery life. But this is purely observation. I haven't done any benchmarking to actually test it yet.
Please add your input!

i like lulzactive with zen, or powersave with noop

Sorry about that. Where would the proper place for this be?
What do you use to toggle different governors? I use ROM Toolbox Pro, and it doesn't have the ZEN or many of the other Android governors that I've read about. Is there a way to add new governors?

Govs are part of your kernel. ..not your control app.
Different roms will contain those kernel governors, or you could find a compatible kernel to go with your current rom....g

Just post in Q&A sections.
Yes, not sure if your kernel support it. I use the same app, ROM toolbox pro but you can also give NO FRILLS CPU a try too

and scheluder sio? and why luznactiv and not the other or smartassv2?
Lulzactive has the perfect scaling from freq up to down for me as during gaming its high enough for 0 lags and when idle its lowest but pumps up for backgrourund processes and for schedular i would go with cfq
I chose cfq cus the peeps at cyanogen mod use it, xD
