A lot of ROMs(mainly jellybean) have this problem. The official release of jellybean should fix this.
Shouldn't be happening... Try another custom rom. Clear dalvik and cache and clear data too in between your flash.

I've seen plenty of complains of it not working, and I can't even receive picture messages on this rom(black bean 5)

May I ask the process to correctly install leaks? Needs root?
Only 323mb?..hmmm how do you install this, via Odin?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
with this leak (like all other OTA leaks before it) you must be on stock uvlh2 with stock recovery to flash. You may or may not lose root, if you have it, so take precautions to keep it. OTA rootkeeper has been mentioned in other threads.

Is it safe to flash this over the previous leak?
Thank you
Just wanted to say thanks for the updates. Just flashed it, straight up out of the box stock. Downloaded from your link TC and moved the zip with astro, and everything has worked great so far. The only thing I noticed is my keyboard (SwiftKey) seems a little sluggish. Oh well, thanks again.
Edit: just noticed it doesn't say 2GB of ram anymore, but has 1.59GB, maybe the 400MB are for system data. Can anyone confirm this?

No, they are not incremental updates.
My text messages in gosms have been frequently deleted. I will have about 1800 messages and then they will all disappear. Is there a way to fix this?

Go into stock massaging app. Uncheck delete old messages.

I have always done that. Still deletes then every few weeks or days.

There is already a thread on this. To my knowledge, there is no fix.

It might be a good idea to download SMS Backup and Restore from Play Store to save your messages in case it gets deleted again.

Is this happening to everyone only with gosms while on a stock rom?
What build is Wicked based on?

Did you uncheck that setting in gosms or the stock messaging app?
Even though you are using gosms ill bet the messages are still affected by the stock apps settings since when theyre received they are still probably stored in the stock apps database.
.
I'm curious what build you guys are on. I remember hearing about this a few times but it's been quite a while ago. I know FreeGS3 is based on UVALG1 which was one of the two out of box builds.

It's not the settings. And u back up but there's no point since restoring the messages after they have been deleted only nets the same results within a few minutes. I want to be able to keep my messages without deleting. This is by far the only annoying glitch within android for me

Its happened on FreeGS3 as well. Though its been a while. The thread linked in another post says it happens on sonic and stock.
So on wicked it happens no matter what app you use for sms?
Does it happen to a lot of people or just a few? About how many sms and mms do you have when it happens?

Hasn't happened to me on xquizit xd or stock and I have 8k texts. I just flashed 8 hours ago though so we will see.

Happens to me at random. On freegs3 and wicked. Stock messaging. I made a thread about this. His obviously got more attention! Haha atleast the issue is getting out there.

Yeah, I guess I just missed it for some reason. Woulda replied to yours had I seen it! Sorry bout that!
Do you have any idea if wicked is UVALG1 like FreeGS3?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
This has nothing to do with Wicked. I've seen many posts where it's happening on other custom ROMs. I've never seen a complaint about it happening on stock ROMs tho. I've never used a custom SMS app, and it's always happened to me on average of once a week. I've also had it happen to me twice within one day!!! Seems to be completely random. I'm using Wicket V.5 With UVLI8

Don't know what else you could need. I used JB Domination ROM v 4 & 5 before with no issues. This version of that popular ROM does not allow the email app to run. Came from a rooted Sprint JB 4.1.1

Update: Re-flashed still same issue.

I been trying to figure this out for ever to no avail. Why when on stock 4.2.1 I can send and receive mms just fine using lte/cdma network with the stock messaging app but not on any of the custom roms? It works just fine with 3rd party apps though. I would really appreciate if someone could help me get this sorted so I can once again enjoy custom roms. Thanks

I used to have the same issue but with some of the new 4.2.2 and even 4.2.1 based roms it works. I have been using sourcery for quite a while now and haven't had any mms issues over the last couple of builds. Definitely worth checking out and you rarely see anybody with mms issues in the thread.

when you flash it be sure you wipe dalvik, cache, factory reset, system, then delete android folder before flashing so you have a completely clean install. let market restore then reboot and then try your mms.
I can delete android folder from recovery? Also I always wipe dalvik, cache and factory reset but never system. Won't I lose all my backups and stuff if I do system?

if you are using twrp you can delete it via the file explorere. system just wipes the os not storage. whatever you do dont delete storage/sd then you will not be able to do anything.
i use twrp, i am not sure about cwm but i'd recommend twrp over cwm bc it is easier.

I'm having texting issues on sprint also if I send a text over one text long it won't send it just fails I flashed the new radio ga02 it worked for one text and then back to the same damn issue any ideas??
Well I just got sourcery 5.1 up and running and it was a no go on lte/CDMA.

hmmmm....turn network to cdma only update prl and profile reboot then change back to cdma/lte
Finally got it to work. Installed the newest slimbean and it still didn't work so I flashed sprint diagnostic and did a phone provision and bam worked like a champ.

For those having issues, have you guys fully ported your Sprint number to Google Voice? Thinking this may be causing the problem. I managed to get MMS received by unchecking the "auto receive" option. Still can't send though. This is frustrating.
Hey,
I'm on a stock, non rooted, galaxy S3 on jelly bean 4.1.2. Notifications for every other app works except the official twitter app. They just stopped working on their own a few days ago. I've checked the settings, reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, and everything except a hard reset. Anyone know how to fix this?

Yes I tried it. Didn't help, I also cleared the cache to no avail.
Also I tried a new app today, Plume. It wasn't getting any notifications either. This is getting extremely annoying...
Only other things I can think of is to try a factory reset. Backup all you can first though, including your internal sd. Sorry I dont have anything better at this point.
You could try to flash the latest firmware in Odin, but I have a feeling that wont do any good...
Is there a way to clear only dalvik cache without being rooted? If so, thats another thing you can try.

I found the fix. At least for me. On a PC go to twitter > settings > apps and revoke access to all the apps. Worked perfectly for me after restarting my phone and everything.
