Tried flashing CyanogenMod 9 - stuck on boot screen - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi guys
I am using a Rogers GS3 - rooted using odin, installed ClockworkMod Recovery.
Transferred the latest stable Cyanogenmod9 zip to the SDcard
Booted into CWMRecovery, updated using the stable C9 zip and then tried to re-boot the phone, but it just gets stuck on the CyanogenMod intro screen (the blue circle going round).
Did I miss a step. I watched a video saying I needed to clear the cache, so I pulled the battery out, booted back to CWMRecover, cleared the cache, the updated with the C9 zip and tried again, same result, boots only into the Cyan intro screen.
help pleeeease

Boot into recovery, factory data reset, move to mountsand storage and format system, them clear cache and dalvik cache (that one is under advanced), then reflash the cm9 zip

Boot problem

When I try to put cyanogenmod 7.1 on my phone, it works fine. However when i restart my phone it then gets stuck on the white htc screen. Does anyone know why this happens? It happened when i tried to flash cyanogen 7.0.3 ages ago aswell.
Also when i restore to stock, it works fine. It's jsut when I flash a custom rom that it can't reboot.
I've not done S-OFF yet but I have the latest radio.
Data incompatibility? Assume you're wiping before flash but once flashed what exactly and how are you restoring?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I'm restoring in the recovery using the backup I made before i flashed a custom rom.
Whatas data incompatability? Does that basically mean I can't use any custom roms?
same problem!on htc desire s-off & root..i just can't flash any newer custom rom..the only one I can flash is the acesmod007 v40..when i tried to update to v41 i get stuck in the white boot screen with green htc logo..

did every wipe possible..maybe a boot problem?should i format boot partition too?
#facepalm#
Full wipe means:
- format boot
- format data
- format system
- format cache
- format sd-ext (if available)
every time, before flashing, i do all wipes and then every format (except sd)..yesterday i've flashed cyanogen 7.1.0 with stock hboot, i rebooted in fastboot, the pm99img.zip with cm7r2 hboot update, i reboot..white screen with green htc logo & after a while a light blue droid on a white skate appears..but get stucked in the left side of the screen..any idea?

AT&T GSlll stuck at Cyanogen boot

new to rooting, flashing, etc.
Tried flashing CyanogenMod 6, I believe, using ROM Manager app. I downloaded the ROM to SD card and followed instructions to install. Now it's been stuck booting for an hour. I tried taking the battery out and going into recovery but it just gets stuck at the Odin screen with 'do not turn off target' message.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone.

I'm not sure what version I attempted to install. It could've been CM9/10...
I did root the phone prior to doing all of this. I did as you suggested: go into recover and wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik and fix permissions and when I reboot the phone, the Samsung logo pops up and vibrates, then nothing. I keep having to take out the battery to restart.

I downloaded the file to my desktop and when I use Odin to load, it cannot find the file type. I think it has to be a .tar file.
Thanks
Flash the rom twice, then see if that works.
Usually in rom manager it detects your phone and WON'T let you dl a rom not specific to your phone.

I suggest that you pay more attention to what your flashing and do some more reading. You can end up with a paperweight easily being this careless

You need to download a 7z file extractor its like zip or rar, Extract the stock_root67.tar from the .7z file you downloaded.

[Q] Having Trouble Flashing CM10.1 Nightly

Hi, I am having trouble flashing CM10.1 Nightles on my Note 2. This is what I have done so far:
- Flash the latest official ClockworkMod-Recovery DONE
- Copy GApps and CM10.1 ZIPs to your SDCard DONE
- Boot into Recovery DONE
- Flash CM10.1 zip from SDCard SAYS FAILED?!?
I have the Canadian version Telus Mobility Samsung Note 2. I am trying to upgrade from CLEANROM to CM10,1. I got the instructions and ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105917
I would try downloading a new copy of the zip and trying to flash again. I've had this problem before and that has worked. If not, try reflashing your recovery and try again.

Also, make sure you wipe dalvik cache, cache, and do a full wipe/factory reset before flashing.

[Q] Verizon Galaxy Nexus 4.2 to 4.3 Rom

Seems to be the only ROM I'm able to successfully use on my Galaxy Nexus is the ASOP (rootzwiki(dot)com/topic/36706-romaosp431101113-shiny-ota-like-stock-android-431-jls36i-no-bugs). I'm coming from a 4.2.1 ROM, trying to get to a 4.3.1 ROM. Every time I load an AOKP, CYN, or PA ROM, it boots straight to the home screen completely bypassing the initial setup and my Google account. When I try to manually add my Google account, I get an error message about the ASOP Android keyboard not responding. If you could shed some light on what I might be doing wrong. These are the steps I've done:
Using ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.2.3 (I know 6.0.4.3 is out)
1. Factory reset/wipe data
2. Wipe Cache Partition
3. Format System within Mounts and Storage
4. Format Cache within Mounts and Storage
5. Wipe Dalvik Cache within Advanced
6. Installing Rom (a 4.3.1 rom)
7. Installing Gapps (latest gapps-jb-2013813-signed.zip)
8. Rebooting
I've read online where some people have wiped cache and davlik cache after installing the ROM and gapps. I've tried that too and still have the same result.
As long as you are using a 4.3 or 4.3.1 ROM with 4.3 gapps, All you should have to do is wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flash ROM and flash gapps. You can skip your step 3 and step 4. I've never had your experience with any ROM I have used. If it continues, maybe start from scratch and return to stock, root and try flashing again.
I was trying to update from a 4.2.1 ROM to a 4.3.1 ROM also and was having issues also.
I'm no stranger flashing ROMs so I know I'm using the correct gapps.
My problem is the radios.
When I flash a new ROM I lose service completely.
I'm doing this to another family member's phone, which used to be mine, but it's been so long I can't remember if the radios need updated also. If they do, where can I find them?
If the problem isn't the radios... any ideas what it could be?
Sorry for hijacking the thread but it seemed like a similar problem.
Thanks in advance.

I had already gotten the radios from there but can't seem to get any of them to work.
Seems it's a common issue.
Is it better to just revert to 4.2.2.?

I think I may have killed my phone

I went into twrp(which had just been installed using the twrp app) I then proceeded to make a new backup of my phone and found that afterwards I was no longer able to boot into android. It would automatically boot to recovery. I tried restoring the backup. and then a whole new rom. I have since found I was also unable to boot into download mode. it would still just boot into recovery. Any ideas on how I could fix this? mine is the rogers model to clarify.
Have u tried wiping dalvik cache or factory reset by Twrp?

Yes, I wiped it and tried another rom.
New info just noticed that twrp is throwing out the error E:/sbin/runatboot.sh process ended with error=1
Edit: Upon looking online at the symptoms(automatically booting into recovery no download and no system) i believe the problem may be that twrp got installed on the wrong partition or deleted partitions that it shouldn't have. I'm coming from dn4 by the way.
follow steps:
1. charge ur phone to 80%
2. Advance wipe except SD card
3. Restore Stable backup
Second Option
1. Advance Wipe all
2. Goto fastboot mode
3. Re Flash TWRP Recovery
4. Then Try Restoring Old Stable Backup

Thanks for your suggestion. backing up my internal storage really quick then i'll try option 1(option 2 won't work no matter what i try to boot to it just reloads twrp instantly, like it doesn't even act like i restarted it just goes immediately to the teamwin screen.)
Good luck.. Do update me if it help ..c ya

After screwing around for a bit i managed to reflash a cwm backup of my recovery which now lets me boot into downloader which means if i can track down the official firmware i'll be good to go.
EDIT; Just out of curiosity i flashed the rom i wanted to install. Low and behold its showing the boot animation. i'll update in a few if it boots past there.
EDIT 2: booted! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP
