[Q] wanting to flash warm z twopointtwo Rom

I'm getting a new 16gb micro SD card and after I set that up I want to flash the Warm Z twopointtwo rom. Within Rom Manager it says my current and latest clockworkMod is 3.0.0.8. I want to try this Rom because it has the new sense 2.0. In the Warm Z twopointtwo Rom post it has these options for these downloads:
Downloads:
Nightlies Testing (Newest)
DOWNLOAD RLS1 (Clockworkmod 2)
[MD5Sum: 99a461227c47e6a06d89dad880883ffa]
DOWNLOAD RLS1 (Clockworkmod 3.0.7 and up)
[MD5Sum: 5ca34912d800a5120349a09cdf5a10b0]
So I assume I download DOWNLOAD RLS1 (Clockworkmod 2)?
Also, I understand these instructions to flash the rom, but the only other rom I tried was CyanogenMod 7 and I had to load google apps. I guess maybe that was just for that rom and I don't have to do that for every rom?
Installation Instructions:
Download Rom
Reboot into Recovery.
Perform Nandroid backup
Minimally wipe dalvik and cache. For optimal experience, perform full wipe (data/dalvik/cache).
Flash rom
Reboot
Enjoy
This says to flash just like flashing a rom, but when you flash a rom you do a full wipe. Do I do a wipe with any of these?
Other Optional Downloads:
(Flash these just like how you flash roms)
Transparent Notification Bar - DOWNLOAD
Data Governer Removal RLS1 - DOWNLOAD
Hulu App - DOWNLOAD (DO NOT update flash from market as it will overwrite mod to support Hulu)
Older HTCMusic w/ EMMC Support - DOWNLOAD
Revert Back to Newer HTCMusic w/ no EMMC Support - DOWNLOAD
Task Manager Notifications (Recent Apps Dropdown) - DOWNLOAD
Stock Fonts - DOWNLOAD
DarkStar/Coconut Fonts - DOWNLOAD (screenshot)
Fix Lockscreen Pin Numbers - DOWNLOAD
Original Warm Statusbar Icons - DOWNLOAD
Original Warm Statusbar Icons and Transparent TitleBar - DOWNLOAD
Themed LauncherPro 0.8.3 for Warm Z here or here (Uninstall any prior installations before flashing) (Thanks eyeballer1 and Androidious)
Gingerbread Keyboard - DOWNLOAD
Browser Reflow Enabled - DOWNLOAD (Thanks Nils)
I'm sure after I flash a few Roms I won't be so nervous about bricking my phone.

RLS1 is the most stable, but nightlies come with newer features currently in development but occasionally will have more bugs. It's all preference.

Only certain ROMs require you to flash Gapps separately. They're baked into Warm Z TwoPointTwo

No. If you wipe before you flash any of those, you're going to wipe the ROM. You flash those after you flash the ROM.
As always, just do a Nandroid backup beforehand and everything will be fine. Flashing ROMs really isn't as risky as it's made out to be. Anyone that can read can do it.
I think for my first rom, I'll first try the stable rom,
Just for clarification, if on Rom Manager my clockworksMod says 3.0.0.8 which flash do I use?
DOWNLOAD RLS1 (Clockworkmod 2)
[MD5Sum: 99a461227c47e6a06d89dad880883ffa]
Or do I flash
DOWNLOAD RLS1 (Clockworkmod 3.0.7 and up)

Second one, since you're on clockworkmod 3.0.0.7+
Sent from my Droid Incredible running CM7 RC2.
Thanks I was hoping "DOWNLOAD RLS1 (Clockworkmod 3.0.7 and up)" was the right one. Must be different that the typical decimal system cuz in the decimal system 3.0.0.8 is not quite up to 3.0.1.
The program ROM Manager is up to version 3.0.1.3.
The latest ClockworkMod Recovery version is 3.0.0.8.
You need to use the one that says:
"DOWNLOAD RLS1 (Clockworkmod 3.0.7 and up)
[MD5Sum: 5ca34912d800a5120349a09cdf5a10b0]"
Please read through the entire Warm Z twopointtwo thread.
I know it's long, but if you're really interested in learning about modifying your phone, then it's well worth it.
Much love my friend
I have personally used warmz. I liked it a lot because it was nice and functional. You will download the one for 3.0.7+. If you download the one for CWM2 it may give you an error during the flash stating something about edify and amend scripting. Also do the wipe then flash the Rom. It was a very easy process. The first boot does take a little longer so keep that in mind.
Have fun!
Thanks for all the help. I have started reading thru the Warm Z thread and I'll drill thru it till the end. I really do want to understand all this and help other newbies.

I'm with you, I'm a NooB at this stuff but it's very exciting!
I'm still confused exactly what I need to "wipe" in ClockworkMod before installing?
I know how to do the Delvic cache wipe but I'm afraid to wipe anything else and erase my SD card, etc.. sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm Sceered ! LOL
Wipe Cache and Wipe Data/Cache. You should copy your sdcard to your computer or something, cant take too long.

Cool, thanks !
All I can tell you is warm z twopointtwo is the best rom I have used so far. haven't really verified battery drain yet, but it's beautiful. Finally an update to Sense on my phone!
I personally love this ROM. I would recommend the nightly downloads though. I used the RLS1 version for a while because the word "nightly" honestly scared me away from that one. I decided to take the plunge and go for a nightly. I'm glad I did. I flashed the 3/31 nightly, and my phone flies. Havent had an issue so far. Good luck on your new adventures into Sense 2.0
Edit: wanted to also say my battery easily gets through a whole day of standard, facebook, snes, calls, texing use

[TutoriAL] 9001 starters: root deox get KQ7 & all you want

well, I own the 9001 now for 4 days, had a lot of boot loops, recoveries and am finally satisfied - I want to show you an easy way to get there faster:
1) root (easy) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253707
thanks to KeksKlip - (to get into recovery you need to shut off, press Volume up and Power until Samsung appears, then wait for the box and press menu)
2) recovery (not so easy) - you will be happy to have a backup, so this is really wise to install it. The recovery from RomManager does not work - you have to install this modded recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331164 [Release]FeaMod Recovery 1.4 - based on CWM Recovery v. 5.5.0.4. thanks to manveru0
You have to flash only FeaMod v1.2 (you need not more than that) therefore you need odin and AriesVE - links at the bottom of this thread. (you need them also for the next step)
To get your Phone into downloading mode you have to shut it down and press power volume down and home at the same time. After 5 seconds you see a nice downloading picture.
After flashing sucessfully you can make your fist backup (chose backup to internal card -it is faster)
3) new ROM (easy when you succeed with the last step) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1533029 [ROM] I9001XXKQ7 [Android 2.3.6] thanks to mozgoder
Same procedure as before. You have to flash it by downloading mode.
Now you have a odexed KQ7 ROM (you need something like that for step 5) -and a nice lockscreen!
3a) root it (point 1 again) and install busybox installer from the market (I am not sure, if it is necessary, but you will need it later)
4) deodex your ROM (easy) - this step is required for installing additional themes etc. you can install it by recovery - that means, you have to copy the file to (internal) sdcard and choose this file by recovery: thanks to crybert http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23321508&postcount=24
(or try this link http://www.mediafire.com/?mjabvv2loub3z35 )
wow, now you have a brilliant deodexed ROM! If everything went fine this far all apps and datas are still where they should be.
Make a backup!
5) now its getting vibrant - you can beginn modding your phone.
[TOOL] - Galaxy S Plus Configurator BETA 5 thanks to broodplank1337
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466056
A great tool! Download it, start it, try it. It tells you what to do - so please read the text and do it that way - no error occured to me.
Start with kernel, then accelerator and so on. Make your choice.
There is also an option for boot loops - I did not try it, but have it in mind, in case of..
So, now you have your phone as you like it - good luck and have fun!
OR.. you just flash broodplanks broodROM RC3 Rev2 (RC4 relesing tomorrow!).
then you got an awesome custom rom, rooted, deodexed and easy.
broodROM RC3 Rev2
imo best rom for i9001!

Just try doing the flash again...it happened to me as well...In aroma installer choose to do a full wipe, even if you already did it manually...
This just happened to me as well. I did do a full wipe, up front and in setup. Ill try it now again. Did you get the issue solved in the meanwhile?
*Edit, found the sollution that worked for me in the Rom thread*

Try to do not let Aroma reboots when you finished flash rom. When it ask to reboot choose no, then reboot ur device manually. :good:
I had the same problem; 1st time I booted in recovery, run super-wipe script from android revolution (as I always do before flashing new ROM) and then flashed Blackout. When it asked if I want to wipe, I said NO, thinking the wipe script was enough. But when I rebooted - it stuck on the HTC logo. Then I took the battery out, went to recovery by holding VOL DN key and flashed again - this time answering YES to Aroma installer when it wanted to wipe everything, and it worked... (I rebooted from Aroma, so no problems there)
Hi all... thanks for ur concerns and suggestions.... but unfortunately i was away... Will try it in a short while and feedback to all of u ... Thank you guys so much and god blessed...
Solved! Thanks!
Problem Solved!
HI all, i had successfully flashed my phone with this ROM. :victory:
I have something to share,
Technically, there's no "NO" button after the installation complete but only a "Finish" button. So i just press the back key and quit the installation then reboot my device with 4EXT Recovery.
Thanks for helping me guys :highfive:
God Blessed :angel::victory:
So glad I found this thread
Must have flashed the rom about 10 times, each time letting Aroma do the restart. Even left it booting over night....lol
Booted first time when I restarted it using ClockWork after flashing the 11th time.
I will add, that Aroma failed to install the rom 50% of the time, stopping at the wipe stage, but still congratulating me on a successful install...weird.

[Kernel]Insecure/Rooted, Recovery-Flashable UCALI5[ADB][init.d][Custom Bootanimation]

Hey everyone,
This is a modified stock kernel based on AT&T UCALI5 and is ONLY compatible with stock-based ICS roms. I haven't seen this around so I decided to make it myself for all to use and assist in development. The root application of choice is Chainfire's SuperSU. Remember that the first boot takes longer than usual after you clear the cache.
Features:
•Insecure rooted kernel
•init.d script support
•ADB support
•Custom bootanimation.zip support
Instructions:
1.Download the recovery-flashable zip to your phone's SD card
2.Flash in recovery
3.Wipe cache and dalvik cache
4.Reboot and enjoy
Standard disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything bad that happens to your phone. I have personally tested this on my own AT&T SGS3 and it works great for me.
Special thanks to NunHugger for his infinite wisdom in helping me figure out how to get custom boot animations working and letting me borrow his updater script. Also thanks to dsixda for the amazing Android Kitchen.

Secondary ODIN Instructions
This is the modified kernel made flashable in ODIN ONLY. Do not flash this in recovery as it will not work. Flashing with ODIN will increase your flash counter so if you use it, make sure to use Triangle Away to set your counter back to zero. Flashing using Mobile ODIN will NOT increase your flash counter, however.
