Do I have to do anything with the Stock CM10 Kernel 9.28.2012 listed in the OP? (i will flash from the very stock firmware from rogers)
No the cm10 kernel is already include in the ROM. Just do a factory reset, format data, format cache, format dalvik, flash the rom, flash the gapps, reboot and enjoy the power of the unicorn!

what's different between this download, and the builds that have been coming out?
i've only been following the builds, and still up to the latest (build 4), d2att is not in the list.

Do I need CWM 6.0.1.2 ? And also how do I flash it using ODIN please ? Do I simply put the .img into a .tar and flash the .tar with ODIN?

No, i mean how to upgrade CWM, because I currently have 5.5.
Also, I have been able to flash with AOKP, but it only shows "H+" or "3G". But i live in downtown montreal, and normally I have LTE. Why does it doesnt show out LTE pictogram?

LTE works fine for Canadian users. You guys should probably try and read and search the ROM thread.

Yeah. Try running a speed test
You should see lte speeds, regardless of the icon in the task bar
You can either load ROM manager from the store(safe way)
or
Download cwm recovery touch there
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Place it at the root of your sdcard and rename it recovery.IMG
Download terminal emulator from the play store
run it:
Once in the terminal type: su (press enter)
Then type: dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18 (press enter)

i factory reset and wipe cache and dalvik but still no go.

That's an older version. You need the newest one, which is 5.8.4.7. Download the img file from the website and flash through android emulator.
Downloads: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
How to install through Android Emulator on the device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
scroll down to the "Third, alternate if unfamiliar with adb commands" option and follow directions.
Beware that once you install this version of CWM, your previous nandroid backups will not work, as they will get md5 mismatch. If you want to go back to the older version of CWM, simply use the method you used when you first flashed CWM (via Odin). I experienced the same thing, so I had to do some research before I flashed CM10. Hope that helped!

That works too. But for some reason, my device wasn't listed in the app so I had to go through the other process ):
I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S III I747M through Bell, but am a bit lost with ROM flashing. I flashed to new ROM's quite frequently on my old Motorola Milestone, but I am a bit confused with the ROM's for the S III since there are so many variants.
My main question is, as a Bell user am I limited to only d2bell roms or can I change information in the build props or elsewhere to flash d2att roms? I am currently running rooted CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4 and my have been unsuccessful so far in flashing ROMs.

I had the same problem but prefer twrp over cwm so all I did was change my build.prop in rom toolbox, then downloaded goo.im from the playstore. You can flash twrp in app and because I changed the build.prop to say dtatt instead of d2can,it installed the at&t recovery, now I have no problem flashing anything. Hope that helps.

i initially got twrp via goo w/o chaning d2can to d2att. I've made backups etc already.
If i decide to change to d2att and resintall twrp as d2att
1) can I use the older d2can backups?
2) does reinstalling it on top of d2can's twrp work?

Does changing from a d2can to d1att version of twrp work the same way? I can just flash on top of the existing wihtout any uninstalls and im assuming the d2att can still load d2can backups?
I know twrp are backward compatible, but are they cross version compatible?

I honestly have no idea. I know twrp update through goo manager is automatic so you would have to manually install it.
If you flash that recovery file it only changes your version of cwr.

Yup, it's not there.
Problem with recovery being able to mount the partitions.
It won't mount anything, data, system, cache, internal or external sdcards
I've read post from a handful of people who, like myself, have gotten their phone very recently. All experiencing the same problem.
I've gotten root by flashing a stock rom thru ODIN with it already installed but I'm dying for my Vanilla Android, touchwiz is making me sick :crying:

I am also having a problem with all CWM versions I've tried on my two 3-day old Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 phones. It doesn't matter which recovery (or version) I flash, nothing mounts so you cannot see the internal or external SD, cannot flash anything, cannot wipe anything, etc. This seems to be a problem with very new S3's with all custom recoveries.

I downloaded an older tar version mc3 rooted stock rom to get root but what can we do about these newer s3's And not recognizing sd cards in custom recovery. Any help would be appreciated
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA
So I successfully rooted my S3 (Bell I747M), installed TWRP recovery, booted into the recovery, created a backup (thank god!), wiped using TWRP (factory reset -> wipe dalvik -> wipe cache -> wipe data) and then went into install, selected the CyanogenMod zip and swiped to flash. Failed. Every time. I tried numerous wipes but flashing CM just kept on failing. So I got fed up and restored to my backup.
But I really want CM! One more maybe-important thing is that when I was installing TWRP, it said my device was d2can, even though my device is actually I747M. But I remember when downloading CM I had to download the d2att version (that was listed as the one compatible with my I747M), but TWRP was saying d2can and not giving me the option to choose anything else so I just went with it.
Please try and help me!

Hmm alright, are you able to flash any other roms?
I had a similar issue and im trying to recall what I did to overcome this..
EDIT: I think I remember. I flashed a different CWM version and for some reason it prevented me from flashing CM10.1.. Do a google search for "CanadaGS3CWM6.0.1.2.tar" and let me know if it works. If you cant find it shoot me a PM and ill look for it.
Thanks for the reply.
I haven't tried flashing any other room but I have successfully flashed a debloating software made by mrRobinson.
Also‚ I'm not using CWM‚ I'm using TWRP. I installed it through the GooManager app found in the Play store.
If I have already installed TWRP then will I still be able to install that CWM file you are suggesting I install?

I think the issue is that I'm trying to flash a d2att ROM on a TWRM that thinks I'm on a d2can device when in reality I'm on an I747M. The d2att is said to work on the I747M on CyanogenMod's website though so I think the issue is flashing the d2att when TWRP thinks I'm on a d2can.

Yup just in odin like a root file. It goes in the pda section. Uncheck reboot,. When it finishes unhook the cable pull the battery and than reboot into recovery after. Sometimes the flash doesn't stick after a reboot.
Cm10.1 has a release candidate out right now rc4 it's pretty stable.
You'll need to make sure your bootlader is up to date before you flash it though.

I don't know what you downloaded but the twrp recovery off their site should be the .tar to load in odin. The .img file you'd have to load using adb. Easier to use the odin file. No unzipping just flash with odin.

Btw, CM10.1 RC5 is pretty stable with good battery life.
Could you please tell me what method was used? I have a Bell GS3 as well. I followed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426 to get root and recovery today. I have now tried flashing CM10.1 using the latest CWM and TWRP d2att recoveries and neither work. I'm giving up for today but will try again after work tomorrow. I've read stuff about changing the build.prop files to trick the phone but I don't know where to start.
Thanks,
Spike
So, some people told me to install this DittoN3 rom and says that it's working flawlessly. But in the thread it says to install with TWRP but I've the CWM. Btw, can u guys instruct me how to flash it.
(Experienced people please tell me ur feedback about this ROM)

There's instructions inside the thread already. Just after you're done flashing the ROM and it asked you if you would like to reboot. Press no & then flash the T-Mobile modem. And then restart. & when it said twrp suggested its because cwm would keep freezing the aroma installer. I used philz touch (cwm based) & it worked fine. Just install it & if it freezes pull the battery & go into the recovery and retry to install it again. The first boot up during the setup wizard. Skip through it and when you exit out of it you're 4g will come up. The APN's are already set for it. That's about it

Thanks, I had some problems at first setup as I was not able to talk with anyone but no signal problems were there too. Weird one huh? It was fixed after second flash. I'm wondering if it would cause troubles if I overclock my CPU. and 1gb of ram is used by the ROM itself. Freaking MONSTER
Are you on the 3.1.1 build? If you wanna flash that on t889 gotta flash dn3 v1.0 and then dirty flash the 3.1.1 version to get it to boot. In aroma check n7105, note 3 launcher, pen window manager and xposed installer. Worked great for me

You don't have to flash v1.0 first. I didn't and my ROM worked just fine.

Not yet because i can't even make any phone calls either. Where the signal metter shows its a circle with a line through it. When i go to about phone and status it shows baseband is unknown. However when i revert back to 4.1.2 tweaked rom my signal comes back just fine and data works like anything. Just with internatioal roms i cant make calls, receive them or have data connection. Yes i do have my EFS backed up

Works well with t889
No issues!
First did Dr. Ketan WiFi patch
Downloaded N7105 3.1.1 (LTE)
Recovery> Choose N7105>
After Installation selected 'No' to reboot and installed T Mo Modem (T889UVUCMK7_Modem-Dec_9_13)
Reboot
Took 4 mins for first time setup
Did OTA Update to 3.2
Rebooted
A Min now
Downloaded build.prop editor
Did edit in Model number to SGH-T889 from N7105
Done!
If nothing else works, you could also try app selinuxmodechanger from the app store. Open and set to permissive.
DN3 v3.1.1 (LTE Edition) file
Does anyone has download link for DN3 v3.1.1 (LTE Edition)? The Mediafire download link from this thread always gave an invalid file when I unzip it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541860
Thank you
