Xda premium not letting you post pictures? - About xda-developers.com

Why is the xda premium app not letting meer post pictures?.... Free app isn't letting me either..... And it says im able to change colors to whatever I want, but I can't find this feature..... Help?
Running the UNIVERSE with my EPIC 4G TOUCH

Regarding the error with pictures, when you get the options of "Tapatalk Hosted" and "This Forum", choose This Forum and it will add the picture as an attachment to your post and will upload fine.
Regarding different colours, the only choices there are are a couple of theming options under Settings> Display Style.
You can also have a specially themed xda app by checking out this thread.
''Evil corrupts the mind of the weak but fails to feed off the mind of the strong''

We have a dedicated thread for the XDA app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841646

XDA App Subscriptions

I am using the app and can't find subscriptions. The closest thing is Profile --> "View all posts by MPG187" but that doesn't show if anyone replied and view all topics only shows threads I started and not other people's topics I replied to and it lists old topics at the top, could it have new ones at the top?

Have you tried the favorites tab?
I'm looking for this feature as well. In the web format of the forum, i have it set so any thread I post in is automatically added to subscriptions. So I can quickly see if there are any replies to the threads I am interested in by going to the user cp page. It would be nice to have a user cp page for the xda app also, instead of having to favorite every thread you post in.
Edit: apparently, favorites in the app is the same as subscriptions. I just noticed my posts made on pc (thus are subscribed to) are automatically showing up in the favorites tab. But posts made in the xda app are not automatically subscribed to, or added to favorites.

facebook notification center

hello
I am pretty new to xda (in terms of activeness) and this forum is absolutely awesosome and top class!!
but I miss facebook like notification center here when a user logs in , of course this is not a networking site but useful things are good to be adopted....
nyway this site is a great treat for me!!
You can subscribe to a thread, and you will get an email that someone posted in it.

In addition to what Jaszek said, XDA Mobile app has a notification feature, where you can configure it to send alerts and notifications to your status bar, when another member replies to a subscribed thread. I use it myself, and it's rather convenient.

didn't observe that till now!! will use it..
nway it would be even more convenient to have notifications like
some x replied u
some y quoted ur post
some z thanked for ur post x
instead of cluttering up ur email
just my opinion!

But it would clutter up XDA... There's not enough room even with my 2-monitor setup for that... 1080p screens wouldn't leave enough room!
get the app Tapatalk, and you can get almost instant notifications for your subscribed threads, and PMs.
the tapatalk chrome extension will only notify of PMs
and last i checked, so did the official XDA app for android.
Nevermind

XDA developers app issues

When I try to favorite a forum and exit the the app then enter it again it doesn't save it.
Its not only that though; When trying to post a photo in a post or topic the app says, "you need to login before you can post photos", when I am logged in.
The app also says to contact an administrator if this error occurs again, which it has over and over, so if there are any admins out there I'd love to report the issue.
Thanks!

Shoot them an email through their market page. I have had many issues with the newest release as well.
-Can't upload photos
-crashing when reading threads
-videos/photos not showing up
-app crashing when viewing a photo-
app crashes when grabbing thread URL in app
I'm guilty of not actually attempting to debug these issues in any way, but none the less they are all there and can be replicated with ease.
I'm having the same issue also

You could use the tapatalk app instead.

I have a couple questions

First of all how do I get this xda app to show attachments posted by others inside of threads? All the pictures everyone posts are blank on my screen
Second is I'm running on the cm10 ROM and when I try and get a new wallpaper it won't let me crop to make the whole picture a wallpaper it only let's me crop about 50% of the picture. I even saved pictures that others posted in threads that use the same wallpaper on there phone
Any help will be appreciated

Install quickpic, it will allow you to use the whole wallpaper whether downloaded it from zedge or not.
As for the graphics/images not showing on the app, you just gotta be patient friend they will load eventually.

Falcon pro back again

Falcon pro is a Twitter app which is very popular on android.
Today Verges posted an update regarding Falcon Pro and its future. In short, the app is now free and available as a direct download from http://getfalcon.pro. You'll need to side load the app if you decide to download it from the site. You can enable side loading of apps by launching your Settings app and going to Security, then checking the box next to "Unknown sources."
Simply making the app free and releasing it for all to download outside of the Play store doesn't solve the token issue, though. In order to get around the limit, you'll need to find a hidden custom log-in screen.
Start by tapping the falcon on the main page, then tap and shake your way to the custom log-in notification. If you're not patient enough to try and figure it out, or you just want to use the app without jumping through hoops, you can find instructions here.
The workaround is brilliant. By allowing users to create their own Twitter application keys and in the process their own tokens, anyone can log in to Falcon Pro and use the app to its full potential. Visit this page on Twitter's developer portal and create your own application. The app name you use will show on every tweet you send through the app, so make sure you pick something that shows off your personality. Before we go on to the next step, e-mail yourself the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
If you want clear instructions feel free to ask

Make sure you have a callback and that twitter is allowed to login through your client. I read an article on androidpolice.

Falcon Pro is not working at my college connection (hotspot), though it works on my home wi-fi connection. More of a network problem. Anyway to resolve it?
For those who are experiencing 'crash when open' uninstall 'lucky patcher'.
