[Q] Ever seen a battery instantly discharge!? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

My phone was charged to about 70% and I dropped it. It had to restart and when it came back up it said I needed to charge the battery. It shut down shortly afterward and said it's at 1%. I had the gray icon for a bit after plugging in the charger, but it went away. I'm up to 7% now (using battery monitor widget which I just installed for percentages).
Has anyone ever seen this behavior? Where the battery is instantly discharged???

Bad battery.

What ROM are you using? Have you tried recalibrating battery stats?

I always thought that stat(istic)s were a view or description of a collection of data or of events that had occured.
I understand what it means to recalibrate a meter, but I do not understand how one recalibrates statistics.

Is this battery life normal?

Since my last post went completely off topic and hopefully will be deleted soon I am going to try again. I flashed CM7 last night and ran a battery calibration and I only had a 4hr 19min battery life with moderate use I updated my radios but my baseband still says 2.15.00.05.02 Instead of 2.15.00.08.02 did I do something wrong in the flash? I put it in the root of my SD card and flashed it just as I would with any zip. Here is the screenshots from my test.

If you want the current radios see this.
Has the recovery install as wall as hboot install.
Edit: did you have this with your previous rom?
Perhaps a new battery will help if yours is old?
Yea that is definitley not normal batt life. I'm not saying mine is great, but usually i can go a day on my batt with light to moderate usage. Usually just checking fb, xda, mikmik, and a few minutes of internet surfing
Yeah battery life was right about the same I never tested it. It was sprint lovers rom. I have a new battery coming in as soon as tomorrow so I'll test it again once I get it. Is there any suggestions for things I might try?

I just did before I let it drain but I'll try again. But I am having an issue updating my radios. I downloaded the newest one from the link above and I've tried installing zip from SD and apply update from SD and neither one of them worked it says installation complete but my base band doesn't change and the steps posted in the link don't show up when I'm doing the update what am I missing? Hmmm. I haven't tried navigation yet. And I can't really ever judge batter life because I just let them run out completely all the time and pop another one in from the wall charger. 2 batteries and wall charger was only 6 or so bucks on Amazon. Best thing I ever bought.

Ever since ICS no matter what ROM I'm on, my battery is crap! No, it does not spin! I've only had it since July 1, 2012. Here is what I'm getting, and this is on Blazer ICS ROM for crying out loud! This also my phone sitting in my pocket while I'm at work untouched, wifi off!

You are lucky to get those times with your signal as low as it is.
When you have a low signal like that, it is constantly searching for a better signal and using up battery life.
Yeah but there were a couple very rare occasions where it lasted way longer.

A couple? You need to have consistency. You can't say that you have a problem now when you really haven't had good battery life to begin with. I can bet that your signal is what is causing the drain in battery. Either get a better signal or get an extended battery.

Maybe the battery is a dud... Doesn't have to be bulging to be bad. Also look for stray apps. You can also upgrade your kernel and modem. FL 24 is the newest. Go look in the repository.

It'll be easiest if you just grab screens of each section but you'll need to let it run a day or so to get the best snapshot of the situation. Once you get em post em up and I'll look at em and see what's hanging causing that wakelock. Im fairly certain its gonna be radios searching but could always be that plus something else

Weird battery issue

I had been running aokp task for a while and decided to go back to stock. I flashed stock and did a battery calibration. What I've noticed is that I get excellent battery life from 100 to about 40 percent. But from 40 percent onwards my phone dies very quickly. It starts draining about 20 to 30 percent in an hour. Any ideas why? Wakelocks seem normal too... Any suggestions?
