Hi can someone please recommend a stable CM10 jellybean ROM? I have been using tbaldens nighties but the BSOD is touch of an issue for me to continue using the night lies.
Thanks for your help.

There isn't any.. Although I'm having minimal problems with the 019 tbalden nightly. No bsods

Why don't you try going back to beta 1 or 2. Especially beta 1 was very good for me
Also, htc is expected to release jb update for hox in October. Once released, everything will become more stable.

Thanks Eyosen. What are you running? Is the BSOD not an issue for you?
Strange I know, but no problems for me whatsoever. There were few quirks but reflashing solved them. I am using bricked 0.6 kernel btw. Great battery life for my usage. 12:45 since last charge, 3:24 screen on, 45 minutes phone calls, still 27% left. Calls, emails, xda, no gaming. Maybe I am not taxing the phone too much. :fingerscrossed:
Once in awhile I get very high values of audioout_3 wakelock but rebooting solves that.

Thanks, I shall try the bricked 0.6 kernel. I'll have a look for it mate. Thanks agin, you are a legend.
Thanks for the compliment but I am nothing but a curious guy who likes to learn and help. That's all.
Some people are having problems with that kernel while watching youtube, smsing, etc. Read first so you won't get surprises.

Especially in sense roms though. Not many reports for AOSP.

The nightlys have been rock solid for me with NCX kernel. I believe most of the current issues are caused by the CM10 kernel which is still in the early stages of development by Show-p.
I am also using the latest nightlies, 28th now and bricked 0.6 kernel with no serious problems to mention.

Up to and including beta 1, showp's latest mpdecision routines weren't included in the kernel and it was traditional in a sense, so not many kernel related issues were there. Since he is working really hard to get current issues resolved with the new routines, it's just a matter of time.

Hey, I tried them all, none of them gave me the consistency I was looking for, but before I was going back to Sense (RD-MIUI) cause I was convinced that every Jelly Bean ROM isn't that stable, I tried IceColdJelly AOKP, and its amazing. Definitely try it, its the best for me.

So what is the best AOSP rom out there for the HOX, both JB and ICS. I am thinking of finally getting AOSP and was wondering what have people's experiences been with so many roms out there. For both ICS and JB TripNRaver and Tbalden's roms are my top choices right now. I was wondering which is more stable and has better battery life. It seems that both of them have stopped working on their ICS roms in favor of JB roms. TripNRaver's rom is RC2 and Tbaldens is Beta 5, should i just go with Trip's rom seeing that his was atleast a RC as opposed beta? And what about JB, whose JB rom is better for everyday use?
EDIT: By best i mean which has less bugs and is more stable
There is no best rom, the best rom is what works best for you, it's always good to try them out personally and see how they meet your needs. If you don't like it try another one until you find the best one that caters for you.

Yeah I get that i just meant which is more stable and has less bugs
Also, will there be an official CM10 for the HOX like there is for the SGS 3 and other devices?

I am also keeping my eye on this one. It is updated almost every other day. I am presently running Darkside Evolution and it is so stable and the battery life is great. I had and HD2 that ran Cyanogen Mod and there was always little hiccups and work arounds. I know it was different hardware but I am just not ready to make that commitment. I am VERY excited to see how "Project Butter" works. I am sure in the coming weeks and months we will see these builds improve by leaps and bounds. I am gonna hold out untill I see a " What doesn't work " heading that has a few minor things in it.
* UPDATE * Wow this was just updated a little bit ago. This Developer is really working and putting time into making this ROM work and work smoothly.

Try cmx jb nightlies from binary bishop, that works more stable than the other thread that updates everyday.. I already tried and tested both jb roms but I recommend cmx, used it almost perfect.

Try this one for a stable CMX experience if you want. I don't update it as often as some of the others, but when I do it's 100% tested and stable.

Just did a little research on this one, I'm gonna go give it a shot!
Thanks for the recommendation.
Hey there guys.
Hope you all doing well.
Its been three days now my phone has started being weird.
Being warm all the time , have installed battery widget to check the temperature, so while in sleep mod the temp of the device is below 34 and right after i wake the phone up and start using it , temp starts raising up to 40 above and to be honest using the heated up phone is really really horrible
I have used and backed up Viperx, CM alpha, Trip's CM and Kholk's CM version.
Like i have used all of them but Viperx and CM alpha Roms are the most stable ones , like i can use both of them without any hesitation.
So i was on CM alpha when the problem started (three days back). Got two updates on that day, one for the UCCW and the other one is CM alpha.
TO BE HONEST, I AM NOT POINTING THESE TWO, APP AND ROM. JUST LETTING YOU GUYS KNOW SO YOU CAN GET TO SOME SOLUTION.
So i updated UCCW and the latest version of Alpha ROM.
Updated them before going to sleep and the next morning i started facing the heat issue :/
Right now i am back on viperx, thought it might be a ROM issue but it isn't it is still the same plus now the phone is not that responsive. It lags alot, while typing, scrolling, booting up device, opening any application
So please guys, devs please help me sorting it out.
Any question, anything to ask, just post i am here to reply.
Thankssss in advance couse i know guys here are helpfull.
Sighs!

I'm not really sure, but it's always a great idea to clear all available caches, in fastboot and on your phone & if you're using a custom kernel, just don't. I hate them, they're no where near as stable as stock
Otherwise you could try reflashing viperx with a full wipe and ota to the latest version

well i have flashed viperx with a full wipe.
actually the heating up issue is in CM alpha as well not particularly Viperx :/
so that mean its an issue in my phone
isn't it ?
does your phone randomly go to silent ?
You shouldn't really jump to conclusions of a hardware issue, everyone since the defects with certain HOX's have always presumed it's hardware rather than software - I can't really say how hot it should be, because i don't take any notice to mine - but to me (i don't really know how hot it should be...) 40 isn't that hot.
Would you say its quite warm or hot, hot, hot?
And when it is that temperature are you running any sort of graphical processes?
Games maybe? Tegra games? My advice is to just maybe in the new Viper X turn your CPU to a lower frequency see if that helps at all - just don't overclock, i never would. That's when you risk frying your phone!
Good luck, let me know how you get on!

I had similar issue, but my phone started to become really hot (over 55oC) after OTA upgrade (I was on stock ROM). It was upgrade from 1.16 to 1.18. After that my battery life become horrible (only 1:30 hours of screen time, no games). I still thinking I have hardware issue. Not eaven latest OTA upgrade 2.17 did not solve my problem. Now I am o ARHD 9.4.1 with faux 007m kernel, undervolted 100mV, my phone is cold again and I have 4:30 hour of screen time again....

Am I the only one who thinks there are no significant differences between, well, ARHD, InsertCoin, One X Maximus or any JB Sense ROM? I tried almost everyone of them, but didn't see any great differences. Battery life differed a little (not more than an hour) but all in all...the ROM's are very similar to each other. Maybe my eyes are overlooking something

i think is about battery life, radio sign and thame
With the exception of Renovate and Orio, all of those ROMs are trying to deliver a better stock experience, which means the difference isn't gonna be huge. I recall that my favorite was maXimus because it felt faster than all the other ROMs, no misbehaving whatsoever and it had a great pick of included apps. OrDroid came a second close (it had amazing battery life). There isn't any visible changes but its noticeable with daily usage I guess.

Spot on
Even if guys from venom team will manage to do that brilliant work, j4n did with ics, it won't be so blowing away experience like last ics Rom until kernel source will be given by HTC.
ViperX is pretty much best sense Rom ever on HTC One X, with venom tweaks (how crazy cpu control is....), modding ability, speed and, the last, but not the least, best batter life... That's why it was awarded to be placed in original develoebt forum.
So, as far as it will be released (and if it will be at least 70% of original), we'll have a King.
For now they are all like tween brothers.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Untill the finished (final final final release from htc) no one will put too much effort into the roms atm. Once we all have the jb hboot and there`s a released ruu with no bugs theyll all tap away and do their thing. The most youll get at the mo other than a couple (ren, orio etc) is a custom boot ani and init.d support. Theres no real difference.
Be patient and theyll do good things when the time comes, we have some great devs/teams.

dont think there is such a thing as stable on this phone, been trying different builds on this site for a few weeks and keep falling back to stock rooted device, at this point I am frustrated with the one v, limited rom's that are stable most of all, the phone does lack speed, but is sensibly priced also.. my daughters phone now, evo 4g , took to a new rom right off think it is nitrous, stable as hell, first rom i ever flashed, but am a long time Linux user so but a stable version others have put on a vm cdma would be nice to know,... faq is not what he asked.
that means same only
Not the same thing, I'm not one of those people asking what Rom is best knowing there's a bunch out there to try. I'm asking what's stable and not going to screw up my phone.
Sent from my HTC One V using Tapatalk 2
if you have many times to kill, just try every available cus-rom in here one by one...
but if you really wanna know my opinion, then go for mySENSE v2.0 and/or Paranoid Android v2.99
u asked for stable and fast rom that is the same thing dude
used cm9 w/ supersick overclocked to 1.5GHz until the battery drained out while playing nfs most wanted, playing music with the Walkman app, quick web browse with Firefox and around two hours of YouTube videos with no crashes or force close. CM9 was the only rom I managed to get to the home screen with.
Stable and up to date are two entirely different things in the android world. For stable, run stock. For up to date, something cm10 based. Every rom has its problems, just a fact of using android.
