[Q] Count battery settings in ascendin - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Good evening everyone will. Something strange is happening a while back here. One count of battery settings, the counter is counting in ascending rather than descending order.
Have tried several Roms, installed the Stock Rom and nothing. Everything in it. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, or if any developer knows how to solve the problem.
Thank you everyone who helped me will, and sorry for my english.

anyone?

from the looks of it, it shows that your phone is charging. so thats probably why it shows as ascending

Yeah. That cable that connects it to the wall does that...

I noticed this happening to my phone one night when I didn't have my charger on me. I put it in airplane mode and the battery percentage went up. I assumed it was because a change in temperature.

No no no, even with it unplugged, the counter continues counting in ascending order.

Phantom ringtone coming from Gnexus...with no incoming notifications, after full wipe

Hi all
I acquired my Gnexus about a month ago, and the nexus has lived up to its name, being the predecessor of my nexus s. However, a few weeks ago a very strange bug has began manifesting itself. Whenever my phone was not in silent mode, a ringtone would keep playing, over and over again, while there were no incoming notifications. In fact the offending ringtone in question isn't even set to anything in my system sounds! This is particularly strange because even when I used TiBU to freeze just about any sound-making app that could have been causing this (alarm apps, music apps etc) the strange sound continues.
Here is a video of what I am talking about. You may need to crank up volume a little bit to hear it, but it's definitely there, and recurring incessantly. I showed my notification bar and running apps, as I have no idea what could be causing it. I'm running stock JRO0C rooted, with unlocked bootloader. This did not happen before my bootloader was unlocked, and even after that I did not recall it happening for a long time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7r-Deeu6ME&feature=youtube_gdata_player
The strange thing is, even after a full wipe/factory reset via cwm and flashing over another rom (bigxie's stock, rooted JRO0C with busybox preinstalled), the problem persisted, on my brand new rom with no apps installed! I really have no idea what's going on, is this going on at system level? I did try formatting /system in cwm but that made it unable to boot past the google logo, strangely, so I had to revert to an old cwm backup.
If anyone could enlighten me on any solutions or reasons causing this, I'd be mightly grateful. The sound, and most of all not knowing the reason behind it and how I could possibly absolve it, has been driving me nuts, it really is such a strange and inexplicable problem, not knowing why is so confounding, even with all your knowledge and experience of android!

Stock kernel? I recall this being an issue with the CM7 build for the Fascinate, and was due to a kernel bug. Outside of that, I couldn't tell you where to begin.

Yep, stock just about everything, only rooted. I used the nexus toolkit to install though, and I'm not sure if that actually flashes an insecure boot.img or not, so might that be the problem?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I don't think the insecure about image would cause a phantom ringtone or others would have reported by now. Sounds like something is misfiring. I'd seek greater knowledge of how to identify the issue (given that you have root access) from one of the much more experienced folks on XDA.

Have you been playing the dead code "Play with me baby" lol

What's that? Only game I have is mass effect infiltrator (thank you 25c sale) lol. I'm pretty sure it's a ringtone sound but I can't for the life of me identify it since I don't use it for any of my volume ringtones!
I might have to relock my bootloader again when I have the time to backup everything on internal memory, because this wasn't present when my bl was locked on purchase.

Haha,I stayed just shy of saying that in order not to tick off the more superstitious types here it's not the seventh month though! (Where I'm from, supposedly 7th month is "hungry ghosts month")
The sound is bloody annoying though.

Isn't that the battery low notification? Perhaps check your battery and any app and setting that could affect the sounds. Setcpu, system settings, pull battery. That is all I can think of.

Oh and try turning NFC off. And try another battery if possible. Battery chip could be borked and telling system low on battery.
...
It's your NFC chip alert (as if it's trying to communicate with another NFC device). Mine does the same thing if I put my phone on my wallet.
Yep sounds like NFC, coupled with the fact that you randomly have your phone sitting on a wallet?.... Either a jolly good trolling, or you have a solution. Post a video of your phone doing that without a wallet touching it and/or NFC turned off in settings.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, next time I'll listen to the embedded file in the OP. Definitely your NFC trying to read something with an NFC tag in your wallet. Happened to me when my military ID got too close while screen was unlocked.

phone turns volume on (on its own)

title says it all. the phone is on sound profile: vibrate then it randomly vibrates then the sound profile becomes sound. i dont even touch it it just vibrates for half a sec and its changes the profile
idk what to do
Please tell us some more information about your phone. For example:
Which touchwiz or custom software are you running?
What network provider are you on?
Are you rooted?
Have you dropped the phone recently?
How long has this been going on?

It could be an app. I recommend you delete a few apps, test, and repeat and then report back to see which app. If you have some questionable apps, list just the names here and maybe I could point out a few that could be the issue.

usb and camera issue on CM10

Hi guys,
I have 2 majors problems on my CM10 installation, did you guys faced them or know why it's happening ?
Camera : Once the picture is taken, it freeze and the camera stop responding until reboot. I found a turn around, if I manually focus the picture it pass.
USB : I connect it to my laptop and select mass storage, but always switch back to PTP
Edit : i forgot to add that the phone gets hot and the battery go down pretty quick. (half in 5 hours of normal use)
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
this belongs in q&a. have you checked the cm10 thread to see if others have this problem?

Hum sry I thought that the Q&A was really to ask pure questions
I checked but nobody explain about the mass storage that switch back and none of the solution worked. As for the batt and camera I found nothing.
I am having the same issue. I found that portrait mode is the only way to take a picture without freezing. Then again, i, dirty flash

[Q] Problem with vibrating notifications

After I updated to 4.2, my notifications won't stop vibrating.
I put it on vibrate mode and went into the apps to turn off vibration, but they still vibrate.
For example I went into gmail to turn off vibrating notifications and it still happens. Also for IM+ I turned it off and it vibrates every time someone sends a chat.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks in advanced.
I am having a lot of frustration about this too. My msg apps keep vibrating and cannot be turned off.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Same thing for me. Gmail vibrates even if vibration is set to never.

Just in case you are curious, the last update to 4.2.1 did NOT solve the problem (at least on Galaxy Nexus)
A bit of a late reply, but the issue we're experiencing seems to be caused by this: https://github.com/android/platform_frameworks_base/commit/9a7debe5857ffc7c71cfc4082b1b6d72a5cf81cd
Somebody made a commit that forces the device to vibrate, even when you tell it not to, as long as you're in "vibrate" mode. If you want it completely silent, you have to manually turn off the sound it would normally generate as well. Bit of a fail, if you ask me.

[Q] Galaxy S3 Auto-Answers phone call

Hi,
I'm having an issue with my Galaxy S3 and was wondering if anyone else has had a run in with this problem. My Galaxy S3 seems to auto answer phone calls when there is background noise. It has happened while at a restaurant, while in the car with music on, and from hearing a lawn blower outside.
I've searched and couldn't find any help or any fixes. I do not have S voice enabled at all, no motion shortcuts enabled, Home button not checked to answer phone calls, no bluetooth headset setting for auto answer, etc. I've tried factory resetting phone but that didn't fix it. I was able to get phone replaced within first 2 weeks for another one but exact same thing happened.
Anyone else ever hear about anyone experiencing this issue? It seems I can't find any thread other than one from googling about it for T-Mobile specifically.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you
I guess you have enable voice command from which you can answer and reject calls. Search in setting of ur phone.

Can you reproduce this problem yourself or is it completely random?
I'm assuming your running stock unrooted

Go to svoice settings click on control apps and another menu should show up make sure incoming calls is Unchecked... Most likely this is the problem.. I know you said svoice isn't enabled but at least check it out.. I was having this same problem..

Yeah, I never even had the S Voice activated on the first one. When I got my replacement I immediately tried that and turned S Voice on so I could uncheck everything. It would randomly happen when there is background noise. No one else I know with the SG3 is having this issue and I've had it on two phones.
I don't have any apps installed (don't even have a gmail account on either of the phones) and it is completely stock and updated to latest firmware.
