Video recording - HTC One X

Hello,
When I m redording some videos the result on my computer is not so good.Videos are being rotated when I m holding the phone in landscape position while recording.Any tips?
On the road using my HOX

I don't quiet understand this question and I think i have seen this problem else where. Do you mean when you record videos using your phone in landscape mode, It does not rotate? Please elaborate. Have you tried G-sensor calibration, restart phone and factory reset? Could be software issue.
EDIT: Interesting... This problem appeared in my phone too. Seems like in Jelly Bean update some bug bugging G-sensor. I took a photo and went to 'Gallery' to view it. So when my phone was not in landscape mode, the picture was in landscape, and when in that, it went portrait. I hope this is the same problem as yours. I will keep up to date when i find solution.

[Help] upside down videos

Hello
i need your help. I don't have any idea any more what could cause for this problem. Everytime that someone send from his iphone via whatsapp, a video or a photo that was taken from the iphone, the device turn upside down the picture or the video! I don't know why it keep happans! I have tried omega and ARHD - 4.1.2 and 4.1.1 and the both have the problem! but the problem happans only when i get a video or a picture from the iphone. If sgs3 or nexus send me a video or a picture, i get it correctly. If you have an iphone, try to take a video in a vertical position and send it to your phone via whats up. Take a look at the picture. This video used to be vertical on the iphone, but when i recieved that, the device turned it.

Any ideas?

I can't tell whether the screen shot you have provided is the right way up or not.
But is it completely upside down as in 180degrees or just 90degrees rotated?
Maybe because video players treat the longest side as the top. And with portrait mode videos, the video would have its longest side on the vertical, so our phones think that's the up side up.

When it is taken in vertical mode i get it 90degrees rotated, but when the video is taken in horizontal mode, i get it correctly with no problem.
I have tried to take a video i vertical & horizontal in the HTC desire and send to me, and there was no problem.
I have tried to install stock 4.1.1 without root or something and there is still the problem.
It seems the problem is between iOS and Android...
Update:
It was fixed in the new whats app version of iphone(as usual iphone problems)

Accelerometer Problem

Hello everyone,
I have a pretty big problem with the accelerometer on my S3. I'm running stock jelly bean, not-rooted.
The problem is that the sensor data is always way wrong. Using bubble level apps the phone always has to be tilted to an extreme angle to get the correct reading (holding the phone in portrait it has to be 45 degrees to the right for the bubble to be centered). This makes playing accelerometer based games impossible.
Calibrating from the motion menu does not work.
Factory reset did not work.\
Can anyone please help me with this?
More info:
My problem is pretty much the same as this person's, except they have a different device/ the problem wasn't resolved

Any ideas? Does anyone else have this problem?

Given what you've said it sounds more like its your hardware, as much as it sucks you might need a replacement.

Problem with camera/player

Hi everyone.
As I wrote on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2431386
I have problem with the camera and the player.
Camera works vertically and rotated to the left, if rotated to the right buttons appear like if it was rotated to te left.
Videocamera has the same problem mentioned above, but when I record vertically screen shows like it was rotated to the left (so it's recording orizontally even if I keep the phone vertically!) so when I try to watch it, player shows it orizontally.
I tried to move a video from pc to the phone, and same problem: it's like videocamera and player works only orizontally.
On that thread mentioned before they recommendend me to upgrade to JB, but it still persists.
Is it normal or not?
Thank you

Samsung Galaxy 2017 underwater filming issue

Hi All,
1st time on here. Puzzled to this problem, struggling for a solution.
When recording video under water (under 1m) and its great, however when the phone exits the water, the video automatically stops recording.
Is there a way round this? I'm stumped on this.
Any help would be great, thank you
The phone doesn't have this functionality built in, it shouldn't happen.
Have you tried rebooting it?

Hi. Its a common problem when your using a phone in water. The touchscreen goes crazy due to the water. There are a few solutions to this.
1. The method i use. I have turned on volume buttons for clicking pics or video recording in camera settings. after doing that i installed touch lock. it basically locks your touch screen so that the water does not make certain parts of your screen get pressed and stop the recording. so start recording using volume buttons and then lock the touchscreen. ur recording wont stop.
2. download a spycam software like scos that can record videos when screen is off or make it take pics in interval. turn it oon and turn of screen.
3. Thr are apps made for underwater recording. but the good ones have only picture taking ability. some of the others arent that great while taking pics.
i had this issue with my a7. it would be fine for first 10 mins. but after that when i start recording n go underwater it would stop. i tried all 3 and im most comfortable with 1st one as i prefer using the stock camera app.

Youtube video messed up, possibly due to Rooting?

Hello! Not sure if this is the right place, but hopefully I can get some help.
I just bought an unlocked and rooted 5S, and while everything works just right, I am having an issue with Youtube videos playing in Landscape. The video orientation rotates to landscape, but the actual picture switches back to a sideways portrait view and stretches itself sideways (top of the video is on the left side of the phone, bottom of the video on the right side). I've troubleshooted almost every common solution but with no avail. The last possible solution I've read but haven't tried yet is updating the phone itself. However, because the phone is rooted, it wont let me update like any normal phone, and I cannot find any current firmware build online at the moment for the 5S model specifically.
My question then, is if it is possible that the Youtube app doesn't work right because the phone isn't up to date? And if so, is there a place where I can find the most recent 5S build? My phone's current rooted build is:
NX659J_ENCommon_V3.15
and for reference, when I try to update it normally, the build it tries to grab is:
NX659J_CNCommon_V6.18
Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help!
Hello ... Can you upload the hardware file .. I lost the global update .. and my phone is now Chinese Room.
Thank you

I'm surprised you got it rooted without losing your in call sound. that seems to be an issue with the US encommon v8.07 rom. when rooted you lose sound in calls.
but you can flash the CN 5S rom v6.18 for the 5S it will wipe your phone and remove your root though. worth a test regardless.

I downloaded Vanced as well, but the problem still persisted. Found out that all my video playing app (Netflix, Crunchyroll), all had this weird problem...that's why I'm thinking it might be a firmware issue now instead of the app itself. Still testing though.
