It just happened to me this morning... Only I didn't restore.. My phone cropped out because I updated like 70 apps, apps that I had previously moved to the ad card... Which left me like 30 mb of space.. Next thing I knew it wouldn't boot... Then finally it did, and my messages are all gone.. Over 3000..
Any luck with ur issue??
Restore from what...
I assume he means from the cloud.. Ur supposed to be able to back up and restore..
Mine wouldn't even do that.. Cuz I had to many..

Only issue I had is notifications would stick after reading. Otherwise I only has the problem of not being able to send any tests for a while after uninstall.

Yes, I ended up downloading GoContacts (which has a dialer included). The Go theme engine doesn't seem to be quite 4.x ready but it's an acceptable workaround for now.
I had this happen to me when i first installed it. I just re flashed the build and it stopped fc on me

My text messages in gosms have been frequently deleted. I will have about 1800 messages and then they will all disappear. Is there a way to fix this?

Go into stock massaging app. Uncheck delete old messages.

I have always done that. Still deletes then every few weeks or days.

There is already a thread on this. To my knowledge, there is no fix.

It might be a good idea to download SMS Backup and Restore from Play Store to save your messages in case it gets deleted again.

Is this happening to everyone only with gosms while on a stock rom?
What build is Wicked based on?

Did you uncheck that setting in gosms or the stock messaging app?
Even though you are using gosms ill bet the messages are still affected by the stock apps settings since when theyre received they are still probably stored in the stock apps database.
.
I'm curious what build you guys are on. I remember hearing about this a few times but it's been quite a while ago. I know FreeGS3 is based on UVALG1 which was one of the two out of box builds.

It's not the settings. And u back up but there's no point since restoring the messages after they have been deleted only nets the same results within a few minutes. I want to be able to keep my messages without deleting. This is by far the only annoying glitch within android for me
sgs3 : wicked v5 Rom : uc/uv : odexed : trinity alpha 28b kernel
it has nothing to do with go sms, it's wicked.

Its happened on FreeGS3 as well. Though its been a while. The thread linked in another post says it happens on sonic and stock.
So on wicked it happens no matter what app you use for sms?
Does it happen to a lot of people or just a few? About how many sms and mms do you have when it happens?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Hasn't happened to me on xquizit xd or stock and I have 8k texts. I just flashed 8 hours ago though so we will see.

Happens to me at random. On freegs3 and wicked. Stock messaging. I made a thread about this. His obviously got more attention! Haha atleast the issue is getting out there.

Yeah, I guess I just missed it for some reason. Woulda replied to yours had I seen it! Sorry bout that!
Do you have any idea if wicked is UVALG1 like FreeGS3?

This has nothing to do with Wicked. I've seen many posts where it's happening on other custom ROMs. I've never seen a complaint about it happening on stock ROMs tho. I've never used a custom SMS app, and it's always happened to me on average of once a week. I've also had it happen to me twice within one day!!! Seems to be completely random. I'm using Wicket V.5 With UVLI8
Hello, i've been having this problem with every single Jellybean ROM that i've tried lately and its beginning to bug me. I can't send text messages more than 160 characters (the amount alloted for 1 a single text message) if it goes over, say 165 characters then the message doesn't get sent and 3 minutes later i get a "message not sent error report." All the while the message just keeps saying "sending." What's the problem? I've been using jmz's primoc+ kernel and have experimented with Pacman and Evervolv and they both yield the same problem. I used to be able to send as long of a text as i desired in previous JB roms but now i don't know. This seems to be a problem only to me as other people's phones are working properly. Any of you guys have any suggestions or ideas as to why my SMS messages are not sending?

Yeah I've tried that. Sick kernel works well for me. I don't know why jmz's kernel didn't work for me but I'm not gonna complain. What works, works

Hello guys,
my phone's dialer and phonebook has become very slow.
Sometimes it even takes 10 seconds to load.
I have already turned off all the synchronizations.
There are no facebook or gmail contacts in my phonebook.
I have 400 contacts stored in my phone.
What could be the problem ?
from app drawer, hold the dialer icon. then go into app info and from there 'clear data'. do this for people also...(contacts will not be deleted)
Thanks for your reply.
I've tried your suggestion, but it's still not working.
It's because you have 400 contacts

Sounds Wierd.
Running PACman ROM with Titanium KISS Kernel..
No problems with Dialer/Contacts app.... I had a vCard file which had >500 contacts.. but it doesn't lag..
maybe you just have too many background apps open?
Telling the ROM and Kernel would be a great help....

Hello,
I've got the same problem with stock Sense, also there was a lag sometimes with medium-heavy load when I've been trying to call. The weird is my friend with ONE X got the same problem, so we thought it was our country's network, but since I changed to maxwen-Lloir's CM10 it is running like charm.
I think it maybe HTC sense's problem.......
Sent from my HTC One V using xda premium
Yes it's that yucky Stock Sense problem..
All the HTC One Series have the same problem..... It lags!
Root and flash some other ROM.... and if you want Sense, flash myONEv RC 7.0fx+! I'm amazed to see it's speed... Phonebook/Dialer app is exactly same but it's really fast!
Thanks for your replies guys.
No, I am not using any custom ROMs, just the default HTC Sense.
And I don't want to void my phone's warranty.

I know that bro.
And I have already tried couple of third party dialers but that did not help.
I have deleted all the apps cache and removed some unwanted apps.
And guess what, now the dialer is taking good 15-20 seconds after touching the call button.:crying:
Root it. : it will help u.

I had this same issue with AOKP but not to that extreme extent. There was a slight lag just noticeable enough to be irritating. I tried flashing different versions of gapps but ultimately just gave up. I don't believe it's a contact issue because I don't have the least bit of a problem with the stock dialer.
I have flashed cm 11 rom,and I don t really know that its problem of rom or of whatsapp itself but messages I recieve are beyond the original time, does anyone have this problem?I use my home wifi for Internet

there is no problem with wifi it is the problem with rom as when you install whatsapp on a custom rom it sometimes gives you problem also pt this issue after the dev of the rom @pawitp he will definitely think on this matter and as cm 11 is in initial stages and these problem may occur
Ok got it bro
