what is the best incipio case for the s3? are they good and don't they have any problems (buttons, etc.) ?
I had the silicrylic and it worked perfectly the buttons didn't give me a problem. In actually even dropped the phone on the library floor which is basically cement with a ****ty carpet on top and it didn't even ding the case. I ended up returning it because the silicone layer was a little loose on the bottom but now I regret it I might buy it again

I have a used syllicrilic case if anyone wants to buy. It's the gray/white. Works very well, I'm just a TPU guy, not a dual layer. PM me!
Been using the syllicrilic since it was released. I switch between the incipio syllicrilic and ringke slim lite depending if I'm at home or working. I am a construction worker and the syllicrilic does just fine for drops. Plus the buttons work perfect and the cutouts are also good. I listen to a lot of music and have a few different heaphones and auxiliary cables that I connect to the phone and haven't had any issues with the headphone jack yet.

The bottom part of the silicone being a little loose was actually a feature for me in that I could just stretch it out of the way in order for my 5-to-11pin MHL-HDMI adaptor to fit, and it snaps back into shape when I unplug . Also, the silicone doesn't peel up any screen protector you might choose, unlike TPU cases.

I love my Incipio Silicrylic ($17); it was the best case by far out of the half dozen I tried. The only case I'm even considering replacing it with is the new Urban Armor Gear's, once the new colors come out (and the price drops from $35 to the low $20s)

I'm saying that I'm selling my Incipio case, and if anyone wants to buy, he should PM me. The dual layer has really, as it sounds, two layers of protection. It's got that plastic outer shell and the silicone inner shell. A TPU case is one solid piece, which I prefer.

Edit: just got the case I love the feel and slimness of it but ppl were right the buttons suck @ss. The power button is really sensitive and the volume down works perfectly but volume up has a mind of its own I can barely get it to work

It seems like almost all cases have really thin protection along the bottom of the phone (where the USB port is), either that or they are super floppy exactly like the picture demonstrates in this case. This concerns me because sometimes when I drop my phone it really goes sliding along the pavement.... If the silicone can be moved out of place that easily then when the phone goes sliding couldnt that portion of the silicone be pulled away exposing the phone to the ground?
I love my silicrylic shine. the back cover looks like brushed aluminum. this is actually my 2nd silicrylic case, the first one was all black but I just didn't like the color match up with my blue phone.
I've also noticed that the silicone on the shine version is slightly tighter than my black one which is nice. but that could be simply because it's new and I've had the black one for months now

But a TPU Incipio would be better than a silicone case, right?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Honestly sgp isn't that bad now I just had to let it settle in and I might look into cutting the small rectangles on the inside and see if that helps. I really like the case tho its very slim and doesn't catch any lint or anything. Btw incipio doesn't make any tpu cases at least not for s3 just go to incipio.com and check out their stuff

How does the spigen compare to the silacrylic? I have the gray case that is pictured. I don't find the silicone to be loose. It never slides down. Site, I could push it with my fingers, but why? I just wish it were lower profile. It seems super protective, but I wish it didn't add so much mass. It's not as big as an otter box, but it's not thin. The Spigen looks really nice and somewhat thinner. How do you think it stacks up to the silacrylic for fall Protection?
If ur more accident prone I'd say stick to silicrylic its a little heavier and thicker but definitely gives more protection in my opinion. If u drop it on a corner that pc shell will pop off and take energy away from the phone while the silicone will absorb the rest. Spg is a little thinner and I think it's enough protection for me (minor drops around the house mainly carpet flooring) when I walk and text I always use 2 hands but the thing about accidents are that they happen when u least expect so this is a choice you'll have to make. Btw that outer shell on sgp isn't really gonna do anything its more for show and to secure the tpu case onto the phone.

Incipio SILICRYLIC in blue exclusively for T-Mobile USA.
The case is very, very nice. The soft material is very comfortable and a joy to grip. The plastic is also a great "soft" feeling material. I've jumped through 4 premium cases so far and this is by far the best one for what I want in a case. The only thing that stopped me from buying this in the 1st place, was the colors available on the Incipio site. The color of this one is more of a metallic teal than the blue that it looks in the pictures. I'd rather have the blue, but the teal is very attractive in person.
The case is $30 at T-Mobile (I snagged it for like $23). I would've payed the $30 though no problem. Cause I feel the case is way better than some that are priced higher.
The main thing about this case - It's easy to take off so I can swap batteries. This is a must for me as I've tried it with the speck case, the body glove dimensions and the case-mate barely there and this is by far the easiest to take off.
When it comes to protection, this is number 1 from the ones I've tried. And that includes the speck candy shell. The reason this beats the speck? Cause you seriously run a risk of cracking the gs3 screen while trying to remove it from the speck. And there should be no reason that a case, can make you risk breaking your phone while trying to do a simple task like removing it.
Some say "use a tool to remove the speck". Nah, I'll pass. If the 10 tools that I use daily for other jobs (fingers), can't remove the case, then the case is a p.o.s.
If the phone falls in this case, it has just as much of a survival rate as that of the candy shell, if not more... I have dropped phones from waist high with a Incipio feather on it and it didn't have a mark on it (gs2). I'm pretty sure that this case can do better. The candy shell, though it has a hard and soft material, is a lot less shock absorbing than this. The reason is the specks "soft material", isn't nearly as soft as this Incipio case. And for that reason alone, I feel there's a risk of less shock absorption with it than this case.. Drop a rock and a sponge and tell me which one does better...
Here's the pics.

How is the sides? Does the rubber lift up while handling it. Seems like it might with not much support along the sides. Also how are the button presses? Still crisp and "clicky" if you will?

Nah, it doesn't really "lift up". Of course where the volume buttons are it's a little "looser" than the rest. But it has less support. It's not a problem as it only "lifts up" when you try to make it "lift up".
I too have the Incipio "silicrylic" for my galaxy s3. Ebay order, about $25 IIRC. I went with the standard black and was pleased as well.
Echo the comments on the "soft" feeling texture of the case. It is a snug fit, but nothing that would damage the phone going on/off. Rubber comes up and around the sides for a ridge on the face (clear in your pics) I'd take some pics of mine but black is black lol...
All around a great case. I have this case and the vented Samsung (the one with the coin kickstand thing). I use this case daily.
The two layer approach, rubber + the shell really seems effective.
Oh, and fit around the buttons is excellent imho. I don't feel it takes any more effort or is any difficult at all with the rubber case over the buttons.
The screen protector they give you with it isn't that great though (imho). I've tried both ZAGG and Skinomi, plus the one that came with the Incipio. So far, I like Skinomi the best, but I ordered the ZAGG replacement because the store guy goofed the install...
Anyway man great review, I feel ya on giving it high marks. I like that case as well. Not a bad pick up for $25.
Biggest downside is you're covering up a fine looking phone!

There was a 30% coupon that expired on 6/30. You can't stack it with the 25% employee discount. Some did stack with the buy 2 get one free. No longer valid though.
Are the edges rounded and have a nice finish? I had it for my Amaze and the case was haggard. Sharp edges and they didn't have much attention to detail.

Yea, nah, I didn't use them but wish I would've known about those before they expired.
The edges are not jagged or anything. The whole case is smooth
These are cheaper on Amazon though than they are with the 20% off from Incipio.
Could I get a top shot of the plastic part of the case and a close up of the edges finish? If you don't mind. Thank you.

The edges have enough silicone to stay in place. As long as you don't have super tight pants you're fine.
Anyone know where the Yellow/Grey case is exclusive to? Seems like different carriers may have gotten different colors?

I have a black one on my gs3, and I would say the grip is good. It's "soft" and still has enough texture to be grippy. It shouldn't slide out of your pants. I use it with dress pants (think suit pants) at work everyday. No issue.
The texture of the outer shell is actually different than the inner rubber. Shell is more soft and smooth, while the inner rubber is soft and tacky. Top, bottom, and button covers are left as rubber, while the outer basically covers the back and corners. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the review, I just picked one up from my local T-mobile store, they were giving me weird looks for being in there when I had AT&T
It looks and feels fantastic on my blue phone, contrary to the pictures the outlining is more of a dark grey in limited/low lighting situations, not the light grey that you see in some of the pictures.
I tried the black/black (local AT&T prime mobile has that and the black/yellow) and I found that on the blue phone the black diminished the overall look of the phone imo.
I would really like the dark grey outlining and possibly a light grey/black cover, seems like it would look good like that, but I'm happy with my purchase, thanks again!
Edit: I'll try to take some pictures to show what I mean, they should be up later

Man this thing came fast! I ordered it last Thursday night, it arrived today. 2 business days from New York, this seller is on it! Not bad considering I live on the West Coast.
Fit and finish:
When I opened up the package and grabbed the case out of it's blister pack the first thing I noticed was the whole thing was not TPU like I thought it was going to be. The shiny plastic part is a hard plastic and the dull part is silicone. The shiny part isn't so hard that it'll break if you bend it, although I wouldn't try tying it in a knot either, it does have some give to it but it's pretty rigid at the same time. The silicone part is nice cause not only does it provide a lip on the front side of the case allowing you to set the phone face down without damaging it, but it also allows the buttons to be pressed as easily as if nothing was over them. Very nice touch! When looking at the phone from the front you can hardly tell it's even got a case on it, very low profile, very little bulk added. From the back it's much more noticeable due to the way it frames the battery cover, which accentuates my white carbon fiber cover perfectly. The lip it adds to the backside is more significant, I'd guess to ensure you don't mess up your camera/flash/speaker/cover when setting the phone face up.
There is room for improvement though....The cutouts are fairly accurate but the top mic opening is a bit off, it doesn't cover the mic but it's noticeably off centered. You can also see the excess from the mold it was formed in and the transitions from plastic to silicone isn't exactly the smoothest. These are the fine details that can make a good product a great one but it won't be noticed or cared about by most. To be honest, I don't even care about it and i'm very particular, but I like to keep my reviews true and honest.
Once caressed into place, the case fits like a glove and looks very nice. The grip in comparison to the Seidio Surface case is significantly better. This is a minimalists' dream! It protects the corners and edges of the phone, has some screen protection, some camera/battery cover protection, while adding insignificant bulk and allowing you to show off your nice battery cover.
Final thought:
Want drop protection with minimal bulk? This case is for you. It feels good in the hand, adds grip, highlights your battery cover by framing it nicely and when handling the phone without looking at it (putting in or out of your pocket, for example) it gives the feel of a naked phone for the most part. I have finally found a setup i'm 100% happy with, minus the screen protector...but that's going to be changed out for a SPG Ultra Nano Clear as soon as I feel like doing it. The seller is awesome, ships super fast and the product is well worth the cost, which is just $7 shipped. Matter of fact, i'm gonna see if they have any other colors available. Highly recommended!

I think ur gonna love it. It's amazing to me that this $7 case is much grippier than the $30 Seidio Surface. I got it from eBay as well, yes it'll fit perfectly. The only difference between the Intl. version and the US version is internals.

Thanks, I love it. Not sure I can explain it any other way than I already have. I have a TPU case, I can bend and twist that thing however I want and never fear it will break.....cant say the same for this bumper. It's bendable but much more rigid than TPU and certainly feels as if it'll break if bent too much. This isn't a complaint at all as being able to tie my case into a knot is not a prerequisite, its just an observation.
These are the ones i got im currently rocking red.

Once you order this case, you get the following items: 1. Case 2. Front protector 3. Back protector 4. Cleaning cloth. Normally you have to pay at least 10 dollars to get a decent pair of front and back protectors, so its a positive thing that they are included for free.
Now, lets have a look at the case. First thing i have noticed is the slim factor of the case. It looks beautiful and most of all: it looks premium. Although, if you touch the case you get that plastic feel. I dont see this as a bad thing, because it gives you at the same time the feeling that this case will do its job: to protect your investment.
As you can see from the photos, the cut outs for the usb, headphone jack, mics are perfectly lined. The buttons, both volume and power, are made of plastic. This is a good thing because its far more easy to press them from other tpu cases out there.
Also, this case has edges on the front and back of it. If you lay your phone on the table, its still protected because of these edges. Same thing goes for the front of the phone. You are protected because of these edges, so if you drop your phone on a straight floor, you are protected as well.
Now lets move on the negative side of this case. The price is little high for some people but notice that this case is one of the most beautiful cases i have ever seen (and i have seen a lot). Moreover, when you are holding your phone with this case, it doesnt have that anti-slippery feeling, that other cases give you. I dont care very much about this because i know that this case will protect my phone in every days situations.
Finally, I highly recommend this case to every s3 user in this forum. However, i dont think that it will look as great in the pebble blue s3. I am sure that it looks fantastic on my white galaxy s3 with my aluminum brushed back cover.
If i could give a rate to this case, i would rate it: 4,5/5.
Here's the pros and cons:
Pros: 1. best looking case for my taste 2. very good protection 3. easily accessible buttons
Cons: 1. pricey more some people 2. not having that anti-slippery feeling.
I hope you liked this review. If you find it helpful, hit thanks.
You can buy this case on:

Have a nice day everybody.
10/11/2012 ***UPDATE*** I emailed SGP Spigen and asked them when this beautiful case will be back in stock, and this is the response i got:
"We are still unsure when we will be receiving new shipments of the Ultra Bumper from our manufacturers and they haven't given us an ETA yet.* As soon as they inform us, I will be sure to send you an email".
So anyone who wants this case, HOLD on

basically it is a case because it protects ur phone in every way. notice that they include front and back protectors, so you are fully protected :good:
Have you try this bumper with the brush aluminum back? The brush aluminum back is thicker than stock so I wonder if it will be a very tight fit. I have 2 tpu bumpers from eBay and it stretch too much with the aluminum back.

Quick question, the white portion of the case, is it hard plastic? Reason I ask is none of the colors look good to me and I'd like to apply a vinyl over it to change the color. Do you think a vinyl would even stick reliably to the white portion?
Thanks for your help ahead of time.

yes it is plastic and i think that a vinyl will applied nicely to the case BUT i dont recommend to do so if you have the white s3, because i think that the case is beautiful as it is. its my opinion but its your decision
Hey guys, there's so many cases on the market, I really can't decide on what to buy. I'm looking for a few, definite things that I must have, however :
Must be as thin as possible
Easy installation (no glue spraying or wetting, etc)
Must come in either black or silver
If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.
After trying incipio, greatshield, diztronic, and Nilkin, IMO Nilkin is the best slim case and thats the one I kept finally.

I did not know there was such a thing as a case that requires glue or wetting Screen protectors yes, but what kind of case needs this?!?
I have a Baseus translucent case. While it looks great because the top and bottom are exposed, I dropped my phone and guess where the impact was?

Neither did I but I guess some of the ones like Ghost Armor require some sort of adhesive and knowing me, I'd totally screw that up and bork my phone.
Anyway, I ended up going with the Poetic Atmosphere case, I hope it's as good as it looks, and it does have very good reviews, so I hope it was worth the price. But it wasn't that much anyway, if I don't like it I will probably just trade it.
Rock has a good line of super thin cases. I'm using a black one and it looks outstanding on the black phone. Only thing is, since it is so thin, it is more of a scratch guard than a drop guard. Aside from that, I can't recommend it enough.

I'm currently using the Incipio Feather. It's pretty thin and fits the HTC One well, but the only problem I have is that the volume buttons are a bit inaccessible if you are pressing the buttons with your right index finger.

I love my incipio feather shine. Just make sure you get the one with the revised cutouts. The regular feather is not an issue. But the shine had a 1st gen style without a proper cutout for power cord. Revised version has power cord cutout and SIM tray cutout added to it. I'm sending mine back tomorrow for the revised version. Already have an rma for it. Case is amazing though. Incredible look and feel. I've had about 5 people ask me. "are you going to get a case for it ?" Then I tell them.. umm.. that IS the case. and upon closer look they see that it does intact have a case and it is not part of the phone.

There are quite a few people that consider things like ghost armor, zagg invisishield, and skinomi full phone protection as a sort of case. I believe this is what the Op meant.

I agree the nilliken is probably the best thin case i've ever used. Comes with a decent screen protector too.
I really cant wait till june for one of these new aluminum bumpers from devilcase. never used one but i think it fits all of my needs. Should protect much better than a slim..

dont know for sure but i think it'll be close. because of the way this phone appears to curve is why im unsure. I actually have a clear zagg on the back of mine though and that turned out great. The front zagg didnt make it but the back has been on since launch, cant tell its there. Ask me again in june if you're interested
Another thing i'm unsure about is if the aluminum will affect the radios. HTC made the sides with plastic because of reception. The aluminum bumpers will cover that.
this case fits great. I use it over my spigen clear.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clear-Ultra...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item41726f2a24
Must say i love the Poetic FlipBook Case.
Poetic Atmosphere Case or Cimo Grip Back Case Flexible TPU Cover?
Or would anyone else care to recommend a clear, slim case for the HTC One.

Where do I buy this?
New ballistic case for the nexus 5
Full transparent case with the famous Ballistic corners

I had a similar (but opaque) ballistic case for my S3 that I really liked. Does anyone have this case a know if:
- it's compatible with Qi charging?
- it's compatible with any tempered glass screen protector?
Thanks.

I have the clear version of this case. It absolutely does not interfere with qi charging. It does cause bubbles at the corners of my Spigen glas.tr nano, but I was able to solve this by shaving away a very small amount of material at the inside lip of the corners of the case with a sharp pocket knife.
This is my daily case and my favorite case that I own. I also own the SG maxx (renamed the tough jacket Maxx), the Spigen slim armor, Spigen neo hybrid, tudia wave, and the ringke fusion. By far, the jewel is the best of these cases - it feels best of all the cases above: very soft touch, smooth and grippy at the same time; the button feel is by far the nicest and most responsive.
I have heard that many clear tpu cases tend to take on a yellow tint over time, and with exposure to sunlight. I have had my jewel for about 3 months, and it has not gone yellow at all, and I often keep it mounted in my qi car mount attached to my windshield, so it is exposed to plenty of sunlight. Maybe they are using better quality tpu than other manufacturers, or maybe it is not tpu at all. I just assume that it is, although there is no mention of the material on the web site.
This is also a very protective case. The only way to get more impact protection is to use a multi layer silicone/polycarbinate case, like the SG Maxx, Trident aegis or seidio convert. I definitely think it is more protective than the Spigen, ringke and tudia cases. I have intentionally dropped the phone from 7 feet +, and thrown it against walls, without causing the slightest damage.
Finally, the thing just looks fantastic. It makes my nexus look like it is encased in clear crystal.

It is not frosted, but it does have a grid of dimples covering the whole back, that gives it visual depth. I'd guess that it would look pretty slick with a red nexus 5. These dimples are on the inside of the case, so they don't cause tactile bumps, the whole vase is very smooth.

How does this case compare to the Urbanite case in terms of size/bulk? I'd prefer an opaque case but not at the cost of too much extra bulk.

I'll give it a try on mine tonight.
I got the Diztronic, and I love it because you hardly notice it's on. People have said it's very protective, but it doesn't look like it, so I'm a little nervous. I saw the Ballistic Jewel, and what I like is that it doesn't look too bulky...except for the corners. I'm not sure how I feel about the clear, if I get it, I might have to go with the turquoise.
Does this case look better in person?
Do we have this case in matte black color, transparent seems awful ?

Yes, I've noticed that but only in some lighting conditions. I'm hoping it means the plastic formulated to prevent yellowing over time.
I've also noticed that despite ample room around the LED flash when it's turned out the base lights up. I guess that LED has quite a wide angle. When there is light behind the phone it tends to light up the frame, which is a little annoying. I'd love a hybrid version of this case with opaque black or white around the frame and a clear back, or even all opaque.
I'm rather liking this case. I was able to shave away the corners as suggested to make it fit with my spigen glass screen protector and overall it worked okay without too much visible damage due to my clumsiness...
What I have noticed, though, is the temperature of the phone (both by feel and battery temperature sensor) seems to be rather high. This is especially true when using a Qi charger. Even after the charge is finished when it should just be using occasional maintenance charging it temperature remains above 30 deg C. I'm a little worried this will affect the longevity of the battery.
Has anyone else noticed their phone warmer with this case than other cases? I'm wondering if it's too heat insulating. I'm kind of thinking about cutting out the whole back of the case and turning it into a true bumper but I have a feeling I'll completely ruin it in the attempt...
