I had Galaxy SII with lots of applications on it bought and paid some from google store. Got the new SIII and have downloaded some apps I can remember; Titaniun Backup Pro; Rom Manager, Kindle, Speed Test, Fing, Free Adware, Power Amp, Alarm Clock Busy Box, Wifi Theter....bought Titanium Media Sync, No Bloat; so far but there are more apps I cant even remember..now I know there is a way to restore them from Google but I forgot and need some help with it.
The SIII is rooted but I have not installed any custom roms or kernels...tried with Kies and software told me there was a new Firmware update...did it and had to re-root after..lol...I have not done anything since I had my SII with Juggernaut v3.7 from forever on my old one.
I keep reading the stock kernel works OK. I did backup with titanium to external card but opss!!...it is not there so I cant restore any apps; besides, those apps were installed on the SII now I need them on SIII; I hope I do not have to download them one by one.
I *think* I kept my plan of 5gB; they tried to push me for the unlimited but I paid cash full price for the phone; i theter but not movies or games or such hungry data power; in this regards; Which is the applications that needs to be uninstalled or de bloated from the GSIII to be ok with the dreadful tmobile catching of thetering?
Really? Just go to play store check my apps section

I've had this issue with the Android Market 3.1.5 (and lower) - stock 2.3.4, no root.
Usually if I get a notification that I have an app update and click on it, it takes me to the my apps section however there are only the paid apps i've bought sitting there. Not the other 90 apps that I've downloaded free.
I go and clear data and that works sometimes. And other times it doesn't. I've submitted the problem to Google but I was wondering if others see this behavior and if there are any work arounds???? It's real frustrating.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Market. Rebooted phone, pulled battery. Even done a factory reset. This happens on my E4GT and my Evo4G.

If you restored a backup chances are market links were restored and you will have to wait for an update or unstall and reinstall the app

I have the same issue, I prefer the older market version (wich does show all my apps, and shows the updates better also), but it wont allow me to keep it from updating for some reason, even if I freeze market updater.
it always upgrades to 3.15 after a few times going into market
this has been happening to me since I got the phone. I rooted and then went back to stock kernel, which kept me rooted. I restored my titanium backup apps with data and I believe that may have something to do with it.
as soon as I see that I have updates I know I will have to go to applications and clear data and reopen and it will then show me all of my apps again.
I talked with Google's Market help today. They know about this and are trying to figure it out.

I have to scroll through the 'All' tab now to find them? I got like 20 lol. I just noticed this because I'm on a new et4g and no longer have backups.
You can visit the Play Store on your PC, and there's a tab for your apps. It'll list all the apps you've purchased (free & paid).

What about on my phone? I don't really feel like going on my PC just to see apps I know I've purchased. It is a hassle to skip throughout free apps I know I've bough.
You can push the apps to your phone from your PC. Make sure your phone shows in menus by visiting your Google Play Store settings
New version of play store has this, just swipe in the my apps screen on your phone and it lists any app you have installed on your account.

Sorry, I had to revive this. OP only wants to see his purchased apps. Not all hundred thousand that he has ever downloaded. Google Market, before Play, only showed purchased apps. And it was perfect. Now, every app I have ever installed is on that damn list. Its stupid. I only want to see the apps I care about: the ones I spent money on.

Yeah but what if your phone died and you had no backups to transfer to another phone? You really want to try to remember all of them? However, filtering options would be nice.

I'll post the answer for anyone that happens to be looking for a solution (as I was). It appears that the consensus is to uninstall market updates (settings > applications > play store) so you have an older version. With an older version, I believe you can see them at the bottom of "my apps." Unfortunately, the market will likely update itself again so it's something you can do anytime you want to see your purchased apps. Some have been successful in preventing auto-update; others, not so much.
The other option is to review your transaction history in Google Wallet.
Do you know which play store version was the last to show bought apps?

Someone modified a play store app to show your paid yet not installed apps. Search xda for play store legacy or something. If not I can post the apk when I get a chance. I found it on xda though so I know it's here somewhere.

When you first setup your phone after a clean ROM flash it usually ask you if you want to sync up your Google applications. If you unchecked one of the options it will not automatically sync Google Apps from the Play Store. For me i prefer not to autosync and use Titanium Backup to restore my apps. This is much faster. There are some apps which when restore with TBU will not activate properly and for those i am not restoring from backup.
You could also access the Play Store from a web browser and directly send the installation to you phone. This way you don't have to waste time going through each App on your phone.
Yeah it doesn't work for me either. It worked great on my Galaxy Note but has never worked on the S3 anyone have a clue on how to fix this??? THanks
I'm having the same problem.... That sucks.
Use Rom toolbox its amazing and the dev actually helps you

Ever since I've started flashing ROMs, I've become accustomed to jumping on the market and re-installing all the apps that were deleted during the wipe process. No problem really, I like the idea of a fresh install. However, oddly enough, since flashing Ev1lArt's Wicked v7 and now his JB v3 Roms, the apps from the store persist. Third party apks are still in my downloads and I can re-install them, but the ones from the market instantly start downloading and updating once the phone is done booting up.
On one hand, I think it's fantastic! No more searching the store for all the apps I want.
On the other hand I'm concerned this is an indication of something gone wrong.
If anybody has any insight, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
Edit: Another question/afterthought. When I went from Wicked v7 (ICS) to v3 (JB) I used Odin and the root66 tar for a clean JB install. I was under the impression partitions would be re-allocated during this process, but there was no PIT file and the instructions are very clear about which boxes to check (ie, don't check re-partition). Am I missing something? Are PIT files not necessary going from ICS to JB? Also interesting to note, when I booted up after ODIN, my apps, wallpapers, Nova Launcher setup etc were all still there. I thought the point of doing a fresh ODIN install was to get the phone to an "out of the box" condition.
Am I just a worry wort? Should I just be happy that some Android magic has saved me some hassle? Thanks again.
Google is supposed to back up what was on your phone and then red download it (restore) from the play store. Downloads always stay, unless you wipe it.
When you say "wipe it", do you mean wipe data/factory reset in recovery? Cuz I always do that.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
That doesn't wipe storage/sdcard. The folders you see when you plug into a computer. Uninstalling apps also doesn't delete those folders
On some roms when you flash on the locations setup screen it will ask if you want to restore your apps from google play...if you leave it checked it well immediately start downloading your apps based off your google account...
Googles backs your data up always when flashing a new rom fireup the play store and go throught the log in thingy there will be an option that you can tick it says "keep my phone backed up whit google" simply untick and voila... its no issue at all trust me

If you are a little paranoid and want a true clean install, wipe system in recovery before you install your preferred rom. The Google restore had been hit and miss for me over the years so I stopped checking the box and relied on titanium backup. Sounds like it is working better now.
So, set up my new tab pro 12.2 last night. This morning it seems like it is still downloading stuff.
When I look at data usage it looks like it has downloaded a total of 3G, about 2.25G just from google play store!
I know I don't have THAT many apps installed, and when I open the play store it doesn't look like it is doing anything.
Any ideas??
I got the 10.1 a few days ago. Today all of a sudden I got the same thing - but it was from the Samsung app store. It was all the Hanson office suite program files. I thought it was odd, myself.

Same here. Got new 10 in. yesterday and got it from both ends. Samsung downloaded a bunch of stuff then Google updated all the gapps crap b4 I got in to turn off auto update. After I play with it awhile, I will factory restore, TWRP recovery, and get rid of a bunch of bloat. I didn't sign up on the Samsung apps yet. Don't know if I want another user I'd to track. I rooted already. Am going to install Xposed framework.

For a new Tab after unboxing and setup is that normal, Google play will update all apps to the newest version.
After this update disable the autoupdate check by all google apps, so Google will ask you for the update.
If you make a factory reset or full wipe it will this do again.
For Samsung apps, this will only update if you create a Samsung account.
Delete your SAM account.
If you don't let it connect to wifi, you can turn off autoupdate, then login.
