Best Galaxy S2 advertisement campaign?

Hi there!
What about a thread with good, smart and/or funny advertisements for our beloved Galaxy S2?
Here is my Swedish contribution.
The ads are from Samsung Sweden and are a direct answer towards Apple products. (Yes I know. It's not OK to kick someone that's already lying down)
The first one is called "Apple sauce".
Translated the text below the image goes like this:

Samsung Galaxy S2 is the thinnest smartphone on the market. It has a sharper display, faster processor, longer battery time and with the new Android 2.3 you have bigger freedom. Compare with anything you want! "
The second advertisement is the newest and my favorite.

this is the only official advertisement i seen on TV here and to be honest i don't think it's particularly funny or much good either, they failed to show many of the superb features of the phone instead just having some hen laying eggs while the camera takes a photo
Much and all as i dislike Apple and the bloody iPhone ads that are always on but at least they show several features of that phone and that really is what Samsung need to do to convince more people to buy, if Samsung invested more in advertising they would triple their already impressive sales of the GS2.

I totally agree that Samsung should show the rest of the world what a great phone they have built!
In Sweden the SGSII has got the nomination "the worlds best mobile phone “ in tests, and I'm sure that has seriously boosted it's sales!

In the past 2-3 I have seen that there is alot of devs from other forums showing interest in our device all of a sudden even though they don't have this phone !!!! Does this indicate that the time for our device has finally come?? Thinking about this makes me alot excited!

Its very easy to sum up windows phone in 24hours took me ages to actually work out all the functions and am still surprised by ones I don't know about today, Fan-boys will always be exactly that and he is probably too stubborn to admit anything different from what he is familiar with, As I said a complete tool with no imagination for change or willingness to accept anything other than his comforts, Sheepish behaviour we are all too familiar with these days.

I agree - he was offered an evaluation for 30 days but sent the phone back after 1 day. I don't think he went into the evaluation with an open mind.
Also, his site says "I am NOT an average man ... I enjoy quality cutlery and firearms." Not someone I'd particularly want to argue with

I can sum it up with three words - "get a life".

Err, given your inability to say anything in an objective manor it doesn’t surprise me you have had difficulties adjusting to Windows Phone. It is different, ergo you need to learn. At first I'd write myseld in rage.. I hate "kids" like this, people that idotic reviews of a new product with the conclusen it's ****ty because it's not like all the other comparable products. I mean only because Anroid looks like iOS, WP hast to do it too? Sure after one day, he knows everything about the Device. And if he'd really want a good navigation software, he'd purchased Navigon (or whatever it's called). Maybe then, maybe later I'd recognise what I'm doing and that there is no point in doing so, because attention is what he wants, and I'd delete my text again.

You can tap to focus the camera... IT focuses where you tap then takes the picture. Why the hell would you focus on something if you were not going to take the damn picture, omg. And you can set it so you don't accidently press the camera buttons in settings. This guy is complete BS.
Xbox games are seperate also Only acheivements are stored for prosterity. IT's not like you can't play one game without playing another.
I'd rather only the time be shown then using the ripp off from android for the notification center.
He complains about MS renaming yet he loves apple that decided not the call the ipad 3 nothing else but the "Ipad". What a marketing mess. WHich ipad do you own? You know i have the ipad. The new or old? I don't know just says ipad.
People like this piss me off.
I don't mind the iphone or android but when they say things that aren't true about other platforms they don't understand, it gets to me.

Well for one I wouldn't post links to his blog. And if I saw a link to his blog I wouldn't click on it. No sense in upping his Google rank.
Frankly if I were to ever speak to him I would say I'm glad you have freedom of speech wherever you live and thank you for not posting to the Windows Phone section of XDA. The guys over in the Andriod section of this forum may be cursing Windows Phone every day. I don't know about it because I don't read that section. To each there own. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion... even if I think their opinion is really dumb. It only bothers me if they keep shoving it in my face for no apparent reason when they don't have anything else to contribute to the platform.

Hardly a proper app, have you read the reviews? Charging for crap like this probably does more harm than good to the 'platform'.

Not exactly the best example to defend WP!

As others have already mentioned, this guy is a complete tool.
*No receipt scanning app - I use HandyScan and I love it.
*Populating People Hub with crap contacts from hotmail account - Well... that's what you get for not maintaining your hotmail contacts better. I set a friend up, a few weeks ago, with her first smart phone... the Lumia 710. On her RAZR, she had all her phone numbers. On her hotmail account, she had all her email addresses. Have to manually merge the two. A lengthy, but necessary process that only has to happen once. That this guy can't keep his contacts in good order is clearly NOT my problem.
*Camera functions suck - Yes, there is no question that the iPhone 4s has an amazing camera with good funtionality. Actually using it though is a complete PITA. I was teaching a few friends how to select focus and exposure points on their iPhones. So much work with pressing and long pressing. Oh, and I can't stand having to press the software button to snap the photo. I'm constantly hitting the home button instead of the shutter. It's remarkably awkward and unintuitive. This, however, is only my opinion based upon the fact that I've never own an iPhone and never well, but am quite skilled in how to actually use one.

If the guy doesn't want his Hotmail contacts to show up, it only takes a couple of steps to filter which contacts show up. Using the phone one day, he never gave it a chance.

Actually i would have used skyscanner or something else but he was saying one specific brand was not there.

As a regular consumer, who cares about what he says.

Here is the article. I think Apple is going a little over board with the last line of the article.
In its filing, Apple says this list is only "to address a portion of the immediate, ongoing irreparable harm that Apple is suffering."
Ongoing? Irreparable? So I am assuming that Apple thinks everybody that bought a Samsung Galaxy phone thought they were buying the iPhone. I would love to see an estimate as to how many people really thought they were buying an iPhone when none of these phones had "iPhone" "Apple" or the Apple logo on the phone.

I think it's fixed now. But yea. I think Apple is really overdoing it now. And the article states out of 28 devices. So I don't think this is more or less about patents anymore. It's more of Apple wanting to be the only smartphone out there that American people can buy.

they are even suing samsung for making ''rectangular'' phones.

I don't necessarily think that apples phones are ****ty. I think they are a good smartphone. Samsung and apple are two very good companies. And apple started by providing a quality phone straight across the board and great customer service. So now Samsung finally caught on to the strategy that was obviously working and decided to do the same in its own way.
Android is the kicker that is scaring apple. Because apple is open source and the open community is doing outstanding things and pushing android past its "boundaries". In return this is what Samsung used to become as important in the smartphone market. We see the same in others. HTC...
So because android and Samsung are such a threat to apple, they decide to sue hoping to destroy Samsung's and slow down the android momentum. But now that Google is involved who happens to be a big bad ass. Apple will ultimately lose or setting to drop charges.
This is definitely a fight that can go both ways. And no doubt we are in to experience and epic dual between Samsung/Google (android in general) and apple.

Apple is definitely taking this a bit too far. Insecurity? Maybe. Though Apple's products so far have been really nice, I find it a little disturbing that a patent for designs can even be issued...that too based on the shape. The monopoly that will (?) follow would not be in favour of the industry nor would it be in favour of the customers.

Even though these are no longer premier flagships, the GSII line is still in the upper echelon all things considered.
Though I will admit that the droid charge can be banned from earth as far as that goes.

I am not sure Nazi Apple are targeting Sprints GS2 but I heard rumors that Boost Mobile is going to release that phone for Sprints Prepaid line up.
I was tricked into buying the galaxy s 3 because I thought it was an iPhone

I've been reading all about this, and I am just APPALLED if I have to pick a word! Apple's mama needs to spank them and put them in time out for acting like a bunch of immature, spoiled, bully brats! These are supposed to be adults, not to mention the smartest on the planet, and their acting like punks! Should Ford sue Chevy for having power windows? Or Guess sue Levi for pockets on the backs of their jeans? Or Nike sue Vans for having shoelaces? (I don't know who made what 1st, but u get it) This is ridiculous! Reminds of the schoolyard bully who wants to beat up that girl because she's prettier! I own both the iPhone and the new SGS3 - had the Vibrant before that, and although they have a similar look with similar features, they are not the same AT ALL, just 2 devices offering consumers variety and companies competition AS IT SHOULD BE! No different than 2 brands of stereos, TVs, washing machines, or anything else. They're just mad because the SGS 3 definitely kicked the iPhone's butt in every way! SO WHAT - Stop cryin, get over it, and go make a better device to compete like everyone else does, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! Maybe Nintendo WII should sue them for making the XBOX Kinect, or Sony or whoever made the 1st walkman should sue them for making something you can listen to music on that's portable that you plug headphones into! Kinda got a lil wordy, maybe a bit carried away Really won't hurt me at all, I just got a lil heated over the fact that they can get away with it and that our justice system is actually that retarted that they would rule in favor and therefore tell the world this is bs acceptable. On a side note, y'all ever seen the LG Prada?(pic below) It came out long before iPhone....hmmmm....look familiar? Too funny. I grabbed her the Tmo slider G1. No data on that or the MTouch 3G. Finally after years, she's on sprint with data. She's so cute how excited she is to have a baller phone AND data service.

I love these stories. My next upgrade for my wife will be a Samsung just to see if she likes it. She's on iPhone 4.

My fiancée wanted an ifail so badly until i told her I wouldn't b seen with her using that thing...lol.. we both sport the note 2 now...hehehe.. now if only she'd let me root it for her so she can see what it can really do!

The funny thing is, that this phone was already a beast without root. I'm not dissing apple cause it's a great phone but my thing is, there are so many more options.

I had a friend who was Iphone 5 all the way. He even ran his mouth how dumb of a decision it was. untill i bought it and he couldnt keep his hands off.
its interesting to see how attractive the GN2 is once all the people who down it change once the have it in their hands.

My girl has iphone4 and says she has no special loyalty to Apple so I had her play with my note 2 a bit. The size is way too big for her hands, comical really, but that's no problem there are other great phones.
You know what it came down to? Bejeweled Blitz.
She plays that game constantly and there is no equivalent in the android market.
There are several bejeweled clones and one real bejeweled2 from EA, but it turns out they all suck.
The apple version is perfectly responsive. Every time you touch anything it reacts immediately no matter what else is going on elsewhere on the screen at the same time. But on my phone it won't even register trying to swipe new jewels until the explosion animations from the last move are all done playong out. This is on a note2 that's even somewhat debloated because I deleted all the services and junk for weather, stocks, social integration, allshare, sysscope, smart device manager and touchwiz. There can't possibly be a cpu issue. And this was the real game from EA/PopCap not the small indipendents.
I never play any games so I would never have noticed this. But just watching her try to play a simple game on the supposedly highest end badest badassest uber phone was pretty embarassing.
She actually said it's not necessarily a deal breaker but I believe in quality of life. If that's what she likes and Android can't provide it then that's all there is to it. Guess she gets an iphone 5 even though she lives with an Apple hating unix sys admin.
I actually blame Apple more than Android or the game developers. Apple forces developers to choose only one platform to invest their limited resources by blocking use of cross platform tools, and few developers can really afford to support multiple platforms the hard way without cross platform tools.

There's nothing wrong with Apple products. They cost more and it's a closed box but it if you download something from the App Store, it works. No force close, no lag, nothing to complain about. The tablet apps are actually designed for tablets and for the most part they get updated with every iteration of iOS.
I love my Note and the Galaxy S2, Thunderbolt and Fascinate that came before it but I've never once got pissed off at an iPhone because the lock screen wouldn't come on without lag or the gallery froze the phone. The gallery in MA7 makes me want to punch a baby in the face.

Actually apps on her phone crash all the time. Depends on the app. We both use a unique app called guidebook. The android version works fine for me on both my ltevo with gb and the note2 with jb, but it crashes constantly on her ip4.
And half of her apps are old because they now require ios5 or later. She's on ios4 so she can't update any of those any more. And she doesn't want to update ios because she has good google maps right now.
The closed nature and vendor lock in and nanny app blocking ultimately causes more problems than it solves. It's ultimately a self-defeating dead end. It's only good for one thing, making a few people money right now. It's bad for both users and developers.

Lol apple has force closes they just dont tell their sheep cuz the assume they are dumb enough if a dialog doesn't show they'll just assume they caused the app to disappear . Theres nothing about apple at all appealing. They steal peoples opensource work close it up rush to grab a baseless patent and then sue the original creators into submission, its pathetic and their business practices are akin to that of organized crime, disgusting really.

Apple v. Android discussions are getting tired. To consider Apple as pure garbage is foolish, and to completely write off Android is just as foolish. Both have their followers for different reasons- who cares?

Apples issues have nothing to do with android. Apples issues lie solely on apples shoulders with their crooked business practices. Giving apple your money is no different than giving it to the mob.

Yep that's a solid argument.
Please tell me more about how you only support companies with pure business practices. Or perhaps how you speak out about all crooked business practices, and not only Apple.
I would imagine a thorough review of Google and their business practices may enlighten you- but that wouldn't be fun, would it?

Then quit being hypocritical- acting like using Android makes you a saint vs. Apple is a joke, plain and simple.
The fact of the matter is current patent law in America is disgusting. Can you blame Apple for exploiting what is terrible law? Absolutely not. Same argument a majority of the people are making against the rich and the current tax code.
Fact of the matter is a majority, if not all, people here are making an argument based solely on emotion. To state it in terms more complex than "Android v. Apple" is, at best, false.

Well most companies don't buy themselves frivolous patents and then use them to sue their competitors into submission. They usually work harder and pay people who have the skills to put them ahead instead of trying to cheat their way to the top. there's a difference between companies cutting costs by outsourcing work and companies cutting costs by stealing the work.
