In the past 2-3 I have seen that there is alot of devs from other forums showing interest in our device all of a sudden even though they don't have this phone !!!! Does this indicate that the time for our device has finally come?? Thinking about this makes me alot excited!

So what will the codename be ?
Hotdog, hamburger, hashbrowns, Horse-Raddish, Honey, Hazelnut, Hotcakes
I hope it will be a cool name so I can show off my os version/name against those people with a condom tied around their phone (Yessssssssssssssss iPhone flame again).
Cause i really do think Gingerbread is not a cool name.... FroYo on the other hand is....
So i am really looking forward to say to those iPhone loosers, hey look at my Desire it is running Froyo ! ( Then i will hold it the way that is forbidden for their phone and will whisper : btw do you notice the DEATH grip and the Reception I got, "holding it the wrong way !!")
(And to the people who upgraded their 3g or 3gs i will also wisper something about the incredible performance boost the new os has bring me. I will then politely ask them about their performance improvements with iOS4 !)
LOL
You are so mean mate In terms of hardware.. the 3g/3gs is light years behind.. on par with the iPhone 4 on the other hand.. the only drawback is the deathgrip.. But I am proud of my Desire aswell and cant wait for the frozen yoghurt to come.. On the other hand.. I vote for Have-that-Apple!!!

Besides the fact that we don't have a death grip, and we do have lightning fast everything on our device (even with Eclair), we don't belong to that group of people who are blindly following their great big leader....
We can think for our own !. (And yes we do need flash in the future to come)

But for a lot of people the reality is: Jobs said we didn't need it, and if he says so, it's the absolute truth. Everybody who is saying something else is a liar.
( I wonder if Jobs is about as religious about his religion, as he is about his products....And his followers, who are not a buhddist ?)

There's also ACTA that everyone, globally, should become aware of and speak out against. It's the next big threat to the internet after SOPA and PIPA.
Hi everyone!
A big hurrah to you!!!!! We’ve won for now -- SOPA and PIPA were dropped by Congress today -- the votes we’ve been scrambling to mobilize against have been cancelled.
The largest online protest in history has fundamentally changed the game. You were heard.
On January 18th, 13 million of us took the time to tell Congress to protect free speech rights on the internet. Hundreds of millions, maybe a billion, people all around the world saw what we did on Wednesday. See the amazing numbers here and tell everyone what you did.
This was unprecedented. Your activism may have changed the way people fight for the public interest and basic rights forever.
The MPAA (the lobby for big movie studios which created these terrible bills) was shocked and seemingly humbled. “‘This was a whole new different game all of a sudden,’ MPAA Chairman and former Senator Chris Dodd told the New York Times. ‘[PIPA and SOPA were] considered by many to be a slam dunk.’”
“'This is altogether a new effect,' Mr. Dodd said, comparing the online movement to the Arab Spring. He could not remember seeing 'an effort that was moving with this degree of support change this dramatically' in the last four decades, he added."
Tweet with us, shout on the internet with us, let's celebrate: Round of applause to the 13 million people who stood up - #PIPA and #SOPA are tabled 4 now. #13millionapplause
We're indebted to everyone who helped in the beginning of this movement --you, and all the sites that went out on a limb to protest in November -- Boing Boing and Mozilla Foundation (and thank you Tumblr, 4chan)! And the grassroots groups -- Public Knowledge, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Demand Progress, CDT, and many more.
#SOPA and #PIPA will likely return in some form. But when they do, we'll be ready. Can you make a donation to Fight for the Future, to help us keep this fire going?
Thank you guys for your help. Its people like you that did this, and you all deserve more than a thank you.... but I'm american and broke so thanks it is. Lol. Thank guys.

I get that piracy is a problem, BUT here's SOPA in Automotive terms:
Toyota/Honda/Ford are responsible for all traffic violations.
Oh and btw.....this was written by a body that deems the penalty for red light violations as several hundred thousand dollars.
Oh and also, none of the money would go to the accident victims, if any. It would go towards lawyers/lobbying for SOPA2
Makes perfect sense. All in favour say 'Aye'
/sarcasm
Glad it's done!
Hey guys
I was just surfing an came across this article from Phonesreview.co.uk. In it, the writer is constantly blasting the S3 as not being that great and how the Iphone 5 will blast this disappointing phone away. I had to read the article twice as I thought maybe my eyes were having a seizure or something lol. Talk about bias...please read the link below....I know that Steve Jobs has passed but wow I would of thought that this article was written by him.

I am seeing too much of this these days. I saw an article just a day or two ago for the Nexus 7 and they keep comparing it to the iPad and even say something along the lines of how he didn't even want to take it.....what?
This guy looks like an idiot after the debacle that the WWDC turned out to be. I remember ifanboys were enraged on twitter when the new iOS wasn't even as good looking as ICS, much less Jelly Bean.
This was written before the s3 was released and we still don't have specs for "the new iphone". How do you write a comparison review before a phone's specs are even released??
I'd say samsung selling 10 million or so galaxy s3s in July speaks for itself though.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Your right. This made me laugh just a little bit! Plus if the iPhone doesn't have better specs when its released months later....Then Apple just isnt doing it right. As far as blowing it out of the water...I don't think so. Be better hardware then the S3? I would hope so. Plus at the end of the day I like my S3. So I will keep this over any Apple product. As I own none for my own personal reason and I don't plan too anytime soon.
Articles like this only prove that the sgs3 is a threat for the smartphone crown. Haters are noticing. Just check the sales.

Much of the media (even more so on the net) seem mostly concerned with gathering viewers, curious, supportive, or even angry. In this case they're probably successfully baiting more page views from angry Android fans than Apple fans. Congrats you're giving people like that just what they want.
This is not "the most bias article you could read", but the most biased article we should not read and should not give free publicity to. There are plenty of idiots disguised as tech reporters. The best thing we can do is to ignore them.
I'm probably way out of line by making this thread but I wanted to show my gratitude to certain members and developers on this site.
I've been an iphone user for number if years and I always had a prejudice judgement on Android that it was 'DUMB' and an wanna be ios.
Well last christmas I purchased a Note II and well make the long story short.. Now my iPhone 5 serves as an Media player inside my car and that's about it.
I recently purchased the S4 for T-Mobile and I just wanted to say all the people who are claiming the same old boring UI of an IOS is the best around are simply morons.. and they should all be put into one island.
Just wanted to thank all the developers and fellow members on here for all the info and the help you share with others.
Thank YOu!!!!

It is an extremely cynical move by two massive megacorp companies (both with troubled ethical histories) betting LOTS of money on people being brainless stupid herdable sheep. Instead of calling me cynical, you should feel a bit affronted at Google....because both these corps are saying very blatantly that they think we consumers are brainless programmable robots who will jump when asked.
Google and Nestle can claim no money was traded hands all they want...but there was quid pro quo, you can bet your entire lifetime earnings and savings there was.
I don't like eating chocolates now a days but Kit Kat is very relatable and very marketable.

Honestly great marketing ploy. Hope it works out well for both products. I'm not a fan of KitKat. I don't like the crunchy center crap. But hey, why not.
Now if it were Reese's peanut butter cups, now those I love. And it's not even the chocolate of it. It's their peanut butter that I like.

i really hate people using the word "sheep" like they're not one also. we're all sheep, and choose which flock to run with. saying that, real sheep actually care what they call the new os. tech guys shouldn't give a crap what they call it as long as it's offers improvements.

Agree and disagree:
I disagree with you about the sheep analogy. We are not all sheep choosing flocks to follow. Sheep are herd animals and humans are pack animals (at least this used to be true). The iSheep represent the ever growing part of humanity that has made the transformation into herd animals. I, and many of us here, refuse to be transformed by media/advertizing/image consultants into a bleating wooly douchebag. The analogy for those like me would be that of the wolf; a pack animal who, whether alone or with his pack, will divide the herd and eventually bite and eat one of them.
I agree that it doesn't matter what branding Android 4.4 has...I've always referred to version anyway

Lol yea if apple went out of business I probably would smile. But I doubt it. Unless all android phone make you feel like your apart of a society than its not happening. The only manufacturer that makes you feel as though your part of a society like apple is Samsung. Which is why I like their phones. People see Iphone. And think upper class, sophistication, and belonging. Which gives them a sense of belonging to a group of elite. I mean who dont want to walk around feeling like their worth a million bucks with year old tech smh. We look at Samsung and see innovation, future, and a sense of belonging to a group of intellectual individuals even though on xda some people make me wonder with questions like whats rooting or a kernel, But they have a profile lol. Since Samsung set a stepping stone on what sales and devices should look like htc, lg and everyone else is really stepping it up. So apple may be in trouble in the future but as of right now. There to many zombies for them to sell to.... my bad for the essay

I personally don't want to see Apple go out of business. I like competition. I think it actually benefits us consumers.
Personally, I don't think Samsung is the bee's knees or anything, but they do make a few products I enjoy, such as the Galaxy Note series smartphone. My enjoy derives nothing from Apple's products. I like they're Android, are rootable with fair ease, have SD card slots, pullable batteries, and actually make the phablet one of the flagship phones, instead of an after though like many other companies.
I'm not an Apple fan. I don't know about the company now with CEO Cook, but under Jobs reign, they were able to make things people found useful and wanted. I don't think they really came up with many ideas that were original, but found the right delivery of it. Plus, since Apple tries to just make everything work, that's that many less people who's electronics I ultimately end up fixing; it gets irritating always fixing other people's crap because they don't have a clue.

Yea the competition is fun. I use to be an apple fan but I've always been more of a fan of customizations. When android came out I was torn because I mean you could customize a iphone 3g and 3gs at the time when jail broken. But android had launchers icons. Colors, mp3 ringtone makers. Rooting, and constantly adding more features. I actually waited for apples response. Now so many years later. Their finally responding with a more customizable ui its to late. Im done with them. Plus I saw people happy as **** that they could swipe their Iphone cross registers and pay for gas all with nfc enabled I laughed. Only because my S3 was doing that while the Iphone 4 was still on 3g like its 3g/s predecessor. Lol or my e4gt was rocking 4g wimax. It's kinda crazy though because in the tortoise and hare race. Apple the tortoise was winning the race with out dated tech smh. Apple is a cult lol
