I have a few dvds i ripped to kindle format, i SWEAR there was an app a while ago to organize the movies and videos on your sd card in a very polished nice interface. It showed the cover of the dvd or movie and touch it to play it. I REALLY want it. Any help?

is it possible to add subtitles to movies without re-encoding them? because re-encoding takes too long. I wanna be able to transfer movies to sd card and watch them in coreplayer quickly. Any suggestions?
Hey guys, sorry for the probably newbie question but..
whats the best way to convert/compress/store and play video's on our phones?
I've got a few Divx movies that I'd like on my phone, and I have Rockplayer, but theres no way I have enough storage to be putting 3/4/5gb movies onto my SD card
especially not since im rocking a stock 8gb atm
i use the program anyvideoconverter. it lets you put in the screen size bit rate etc. Most of my movies end up around 700MB they also look very good on the evo at this side. Some longer and better quality ones are 1.5 to 1.6 but rarely bigger. I currently convert all movies if they arent to AVI through it (or if they are huge i convert but change resolution to the evos)
Witht he free version yuo have to manually enter the information the paid version has a lot of presets that allow you to just select the device type and it will convert it for it.
Handbrake is another good one. Tons of advanced settings for mobile use. Google handbrake and evo. There are a few great sites out there that explain the perfect settings just for the evo.

+1 on Handbrake. Just don't encode using h.264, use mpeg-4. I had issues on 2.1 with h.264 (audio/video sync, lag). 2.2 may have cleared those up, but I have not tested.
Just wondering Ive been trying to watch movies but I cant figure out how to watch them good on the evo. I've tried arc media with my avi's but the audio doesn't sync good with the movies. I also tried converting them to mpeg4 cause I read that is the best format for the HTC player but then the file is enormous and I have to empty my memory card just to put it on. So my question is how does everyone here watch movies on there evos what is the best video app or converter and format for my pc and if there are any apps like media hub that the galaxy phones have?

I just use Handbrake to convert to mp4, at the same time shrinking it to about 300mb and use the stock video player- works great.
lol there are some periods in there. Thx ill try that sounds a lot better than a 7gb movie. Now besides for that are there any programs similar to media hub I can rent movies or buy em right on my phone

I love how video looks on the kindle fire!
Most of my ripped movies in my "Movies" network share play, but VOBs don't (DVD MPEG). MX Video player and ArcMedia player claim to play VOBs, but they don't. ArcMedia can access the share but won't play the VOBs. Neither ArcMedia or MX will associate with the VOB extension, so Android doesn't know what player to launch if I access a VOB via network share in a file browser.
Anybody tried playing a ripped DVD with an android device? If you had success, what player did you use?
Has nobody tried or wanted to play ripped DVDs?
Your best bet after ripping them is converting the format if the video is unsupported by android if possible and the only ripping I do with DVD videos is with iTunes and movies

Oh and I'd try to convert to a more common format ex: mp4

VOB files are not really uncommon. That's the format of every DVD.
I use Daroon Player to play VOBs that are locally loaded on my Fire. I don't remember if I sideloaded it or not.
Hey,
In the kids launcher, anyway of having local films/tv show in the Videos tab?
Seems to only want to show Amazon stuff. Saves putting on an external player to browse and play.
Ta much
