I can't do a system mount and can't boot into Jelly Bean because of the checks that are now being done on Jelly Bean. Plus this error: "Could not stat dex cache directory '/data/dalvik-cache". So there is no Jelly Bean Mount issue? I should be able to boot into Jelly Bean without hours and hours of Boot Loops? Man I have been trying to get Jelly Bean since the first VZW CDMA Rom, I hope it's easier than I thought. /Crosses fingers.

Those sound like issues related to certain custom ROMs.
Let me re-phrase my previous statement: There is no mount issue in stock Jelly Bean ROMs.

Sorry if I came across sarcastic, I was actually hoping there was a fix for my issue. This problem is for any Rom. It is also for the recent test leak for Jelly Bean JRO03O.

Nah, no worries.
What I am trying to say is that I don't have any of the issues you are mentioning on my Jelly Bean ROM. (And I doubt you would have them if you flash the JRO03O update on the stock IMM76Q ROM.)

I went from IMM76K to IMM76Q to JRO03O using a zip file for each. I also have tried Roms, but nothing will get me past the Google X boot screen.

You need to start off fresh. Pull all you data off your device, flash the stock images using fastboot (like this), and then apply the updates (from here), without installing any apps. You shouldn't have any issues.

I was looking at the development section and I just see roms that include other stuff besides stock jelly bean.
I understand 4.1 was leaked. Is there a way just to install stock 4.1? Do I need to be rooted?
Sorry, I'm getting my nexus tomorrow so I'm pretty new to this.

This is a Nexus device. All you need is an unlocked bootloader. Root is irrelevant for this purpose, and is not required.
EDIT: It can be done with root instead of an unlocked bootloader, but it is a bit more complicated than just flashing the images.

Yes ... you will not be getting the official factory image from Google until July mid at least. That's when the OTA suppose to be out.
so, to clarify...
- if we install the above files, we will factory reset the phone, as this is a complete ROM
- if we do not want to reset the phone and keep what we have, we'll have to wait for the OTA in July
rite?

I tried loading a couple Jelly Bean roms for my Verizon GNex.
It's unlocked and everything and it was on 4.0.4 Build IMM76K with superuser and CWM recovery. The whole deal.
I ran recovery and tried to load these 2 ROMS, 2 seperate times starting from a fresh 4.0.4 build each time:
BAMF you jelly v1.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1744389
and
Team Liquid Vicious-toro V3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738018
Someone suggested to try a different kernel, but I'm not sure what that means.
What should I do?
are you using the touch recovery?
Did you WIPE DATA first?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Try Team Vicious's again, and be patient. I remember when I first flashed V1 I waited about 2-5 minutes before it brought me to the welcome screen. The Kernel that comes with Vicious is fine, although I've been using Faux's Kernel and am LOVING it.
You can flash kernels the same way you flash ROMs, as long as it is in a ZIP file, you are good to go. Just make sure it is compatible with Jelly Bean.
Let me know what method you are using to flash ROMs and I will try to be more detailed if needed.

Did you fix permissions?
What loading screen? Google screen or boot animation?
Jeez, people need to search for real, like 3 threads on this already. Why don't you ask over in respective rom thread? Better yet, I don't believe bamf or vicious devs would release a rom without making sure it boots.

GNex stuck at Jelly Bean ROMs boot animation loading screen
I'm in a similar situation. After I flashed my Verizon GNex to Vicious Jelly Bean V3 everything seemed fine. So I decided to try my luck at flashing a theme as well. The phone is stuck on an endless JellyBean animation screen. My laptop no longer recognizes the Samsung drivers ie. they won't load, so I have no way to talk to this thing. I've tried to initiate recovery mode on the phone and it won't work either. Anybody know something I could try? I'm obviously new at this so any help would be appreciated.
Same problem over here with a friends Gnex. Same JB that installs and boots fine on my Gnex will not run on his. Weird issue

I have Galaxy Nexus, I was prompted to Install the Jelly Bean upgrade, but I don't want to.
I know there is a work around to have Flash working, but I don't want to part with Flash and its officla updates just yet. I don't see much gain on Jelly Bean at this moment. If I decide not to upgrade now, will I be able in the future? Will I be prompted again? I don't want to root my device.
Thank you for your assistance.

Keep denying it. Although you make absolutely no sense as to why you wouldn't want Jb. You can install flash and use it just the same. Also since you are upgrading its not going to magically disappear from your phone.

From what I understand OTA Updates come in cycles and have deployment dates. I don't know if that is different between different carriers, phones, or OS levels, but there was a Gingerbread update on my other phone that is no longer available OTA. So it's possible, I guess, that eventually you may not be able to get it at all.

Actually, I just remembered that if you flash a custom Recovery that's one way of ensuring you won't be upgraded to JB automatically as that process requires a stock recovery.
Why you no wantz butter?
Take the update. Its well worth it.
Just install the flash apk
Project butter... I still love my iPhone, but I honestly believe my jelly beans running gnex is smoother. Project butter is amazing.

Flash will remain on your phone if you already have it. Speaking of Flash, the last update on my PC for Firefox hosed my machine and I had to go back a few versions. Sometimes no updates is a good thing.

Why not put the latest JB on the phone? Get the images from Google and flash them ADB (the only way to do it), it takes 10min max.

By stock images you mean they don't come with the extras Verizon adds?
The question is: Can a Verizon user flash the CDMA/LTE images from Google and have a functional phone?
I believe the answer is: Yes.
Personally, I had no issues flashing the GSM images downloaded directly from Google in my phone purchased from Play Store. It should be the same for Verizon binaries.
