[Q] MTP USB device error

I'm using Xperia Arc but yesterday my phone didn't connect to my laptop. The error announced that "MTP USB device can't install". I change from MTP to MSC but my SD card didn't appear in my pc althought all drivers were installed So sad.
I had search in google but just have question for SAMSUNG Kies not Xperia
Anybody can help me?
you can connect your phone in Mass storage mode, but you need to open the notification page, by sliding it down, when you select the option, a new page opens in that you need to select the "connect memory card" option. then you will be able to access it on your pc.
for the mtp issue, try and install this Media Transfer Protocol Porting Kit , its there on the microsoft website.

Download nad install this
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg463543
I had the same problem with the MTP Drivers.
I tried using SEUS for the drivers but it wouldnt work.
So i got into SEUS and reinstalled the current software and then after installation i connected Arc to the computer with MSC (MTP) and the drivers were installed.
Suggestion: Reinstall your software directly from SEUS or SEPC.
My conclusion is that the rooting did change or did something with my device.
If you need the drivers and dont wanna reinstall your Arc here is the drivers that was found through Windows 7 (64 bit).

What about 32 bit please?!
I can't install the MTP drivers as well...

[Q] Driver Problems (S1 Boot Download)

I Read your thread of "Namaste Guide to Arc Rooting" etc and I Started following the procedure of Rooting my LT15i without unlocking the bootloader.
But the moment i connected my Arc in flash mode, It started installing the drivers of "S1 Boot Download" but then it didnt succesfully install them. It also failed to download the drivers via Windows Update.
Could you please provide me the drivers or the Link to them? Or a workaround (if any)
Thank You!

Isn't there any solution to this?
Same here mate
install pc companion..then conect your device..pc companion auto install all driver on your pc..
If your using Win 7 it seems to be a bit stupid concerning the MTP driver i had to reinstall PC companion several times befor it would install the MTP driver properly.
on My XP machine it seems to do it on its own when i connect the phone pretty fast. Win 7 alot slower and half the time it fails to install
There are all drivers what you need
This package includes Fastboot, Flashmode and ADB Drivers for all XPERIA devices
It's from Flashtool
If you have win7 64 bits or win vista 64 bits and you follow the official SE guide (so you have donwloaded Android SDK + modified inf file from SE site), you have to use the inf file I've posted here instead of SE one.
If you are following lollylost100 guide, you'll find needed packages here

[Q] How do i fix this?

I managed to install flashtool drivers on w8 64bit, but my pc does not recognize the arc s in fastboot mode. See attatchments
How to fix?
I installed drivers using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044804
Did You selected to install fastboot, flashmode and Xperia Arc drivers in "Flashtool Drivers Setup"? (C:\Flashtool\drivers\Flashtool-drivers.exe)
Maybe bad USB cable?
Maybe bad USB cable?
Yes, you have to install the driver first as @duona said

Go to ''device manager'' in your computer; see if your device drivers are normal; even if it is, I would recommend a complete reinstall of all drivers and programs xperia related. Tell me, are you using Windows 8? If yes, you should now that Windows 8 doesn't install drivers correctly, at least flashtool drivers.

Windows doesn't detect Z1C in flashmode

Hi
I want to flash a system through Flashtool to my Xperia Z1 Compact. I've installed the drivers and connected the phone in flash mode. But Windows says that "USB device is not recognized". In devices manager the Xperia is showed as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". I tried to connect to another usb ports or with other usb cables. I also tried to update drivers of USB Hubs (by clicking on them and selecting Update driver). I also tried to install the drivers straight from Sony Developer Site. I also installed Xperia Companion. Nothing helps.
Repairing software via Xperia Companion is impossible because of that.
I tried to install drivers again for at least 5 times. After that installer says this:
Sony (WinUSB) sa0109AdbDeviceClass 05/13/2013 2.0.0010.30018 - Ready to use
Sony Net (5/13/2013 6.0.6000.16501 - Not need (no devices to update)
Google, Inc. (WinUSB) AndroidUSBDeviceClass (12/06/2010 4.0.0000.00000 - Ready to use
Sony Mobile Communications (ggsomc) USB (11/10/2014 3.1.0.0) - Ready to use
It's weird because my other Xperia (Xperia L) is recognized without any problems.
Is there any solution to that problem other than installing a clean copy of Windows?
Computer Specification (maybe useful):
Windows 10 Home 1803 64-bit
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GeForce 1060 Ti
AsRock B450 Fatl1ty Gaming K4
8 GB RAM
I installed drivers on Windows 10 as well. When I connected the device and entered in the power shell
Code:
./adb.exe devices
it answered: "List of devices attached", "daemon started successfully" and showed my device.
With
Code:
./adb.exe reboot bootloader
I put it in fastbood modus and the problems began.
If I understand correctly, that's the same state, you were in.
My solution was that the driver for fastboot was wrong. I downloaded an updated version for fastboot from Sony Website.
The driver was unsigned, therefor I had to go into Windows UEFI (new Bios) to enable installation of unsigned drivers... (at own risk)
When I installed this second driver, the device was recognised in power shell, when I typed in commands with:
Code:
./fastboot.exe
and also with flashtool.
Hey there, same problem with my Ryzen system as well. Something with the motherboard drivers or the USB drivers that are not updated to work with these new boards.
As you explained, adb and fastboot works, but flashmode detection is broken.
Flashmode still gets detected on my Surface Pro 4 and ThinkPad T450s.
