Yes tmobile has carrier IQ and I don't think it would be too hard as long as you use tmobile base(people here seems to like wifi calling a lot) I'm not a developer but I look around and read a lot, Myn can give you some insight, he is planning to release his warm series for all carriers so he might be able to help you

Boston and surrounding suburbs have great HSPA+ SPEEDS. Now with the unlimited data plan T-Mobile is the best Carrier. Been with T-Mobile over 5 years, also have a Verizon account with great LTE speeds but IMO T-Mobile is the best.

I've spent time traveling around the Kansas City, KS metro area, and it seems most places are lit up now, especially in Olathe. Average speeds are a little disappointing considering these towers should have very little load. I've done approximately 350 speed tests so far.
I'm getting a consistant average of 10mbps down/up around the entire metro, with highs of 13mbps down/up and lows of 8mbps down/up during the day. Late at night speeds are 15mbps down/up around the metro for me. In my basement I only get about 6-7mbps down/up (with 0-1 bars) no matter the time of day.
The latency is outstanding! I've had pings as low as 42ms. The highest I have seen is 70ms, and the average is about 55ms. Great for remote desktop and video chat
I'll keep this updated with my findings. Highest test I have pulled so far has been 20 down/15 up.
Don't think so. Not here in Dallas yet.

Because they're broke, losing customers, and that's all they have to try to get people to stay. If they start improving and rolling out this LTE network widely and (gasp) maybe gain customers, they'll cut unlimited data just like AT&T and Verizon.
Actually I think spring will implement something like ting wireless sooner or later

There's no money in that compared to running postpaid services. And they sell wholesale service to Ting already. Why would they turn themselves into a prepaid carrier? Think Sprint would go out of business before they did that.

Along my route yesterday I had LTE service from Cleburne up through Fort Worth off & on, mostly on Traveling on to Dallas once I hit Arlington back to 3G, even in downtown Dallas at Union Station no LTE I ended up staying in Balch Springs last night, saw LTE light up a couple of times, but only for very short periods of time. This morning I awoke to LTE service at around 8:30a.m., then it went off, and has been spotty since about 9:30. But at least we know it's actually being switched on as promised, and it's way faster than WiMax ever was!!!

By default on Sprint phones the bars only indicate VOICE coverage. They have nothing to do with 3G EVDO or 4G LTE reception. I have aseen a few custom ROMs that split the bars into two for voice and data, but the regular software doesn't make this distinction.
There is a chance you could be connected to one tower for voice but evdo is down on it so you are using a different tower for data, and an even higher likelihood with LTE since most towers haven't been upgraded yet.
Top one is from this evening in New Braunfels. Nice.

Yeah it is practiced a lot in some areas due to city regulations I believe. It looks plain silly to me but oh well I ain't complaining if I can get perfect reception at my local park where I can go relax or study with amazing LTE coverage haha.
Here in Arizona they make the towers look like palm trees.

Hahha ya there's an ATT tower down the road to me next to some firm trees that is dressed up as a tree and it perfectly fits in.
Anyways. I'm waiting for lte before upgrading. Central Valley and northern cali isn't expected to start network vision till December at the earliest. We'll start getting a dozen or so tower upgrades per week and there's are hundreds of towers in the market so the likelihood of lte being turned on is probably pushed to the springtime anyhow... In time for the galaxy s4!

And the S4 is going to have a quad core Exynos with LTE now that they have fixed the issue of it not being compatible with LTE.
The S4 is going to be sweet.

At our university, they keep some of the radios underground. Can't call them towers, they have to be high up in the sky to be called that haha

That's just a palm tree... Lol.
I don't have a picture of a cell tower but here's basically what they look like. IMO they blend in a lot better than the ones that look like pine trees.

I think they have the pine tree towers in northern AZ. It would make sense.

No point of putting up towers when there's no 4g
