there was a hacked version like 2 years ago. i haven't seen another one since
maybe if you can find that version, flash a verizon PRL, then go to the play store and try and update the old version

I believe the Verizon one let's you stream live games. The one for Sprint doesn't do live streaming.
Sprint had a nfl app that allowed streaming, then it dropped the streaming part, but still streamed some college football. But now seems this season Sprint isn't offering any kind of football app.
This happen a few years ago because Sprint was dropped as the "major" sponsor for the nfl , and Verizon was picked up.

Sprints does not let you watch the games like Verizon does. People have been able to crack the Verizon app so it will work on any carrier but they tightened up their security last year and they have not been able to crack it since

It's not pirating.
It would only be pirating if you are getting software for free that was otherwise paid for. The app itself is free...the service itself is free for Verizon. It was merely being ported to non-Verizon devices which are NOT using Verizon's data or any other PAID service from Verizon. We were still, for example, paying for our Sprint service for our data to use the app. In the end, it is an app being used on your own PAID data carrier. All other points are moot. Your example is not really good. A better example would be the Hulu app hack, where, you are still paying for a service, but you are now able to use it on devices that Hulu deemed "not compatible".
End rant.
Verizon pays millions of dollars for the right to NFL sponsorship. Somewhere around 720 million.

They paid all those millions as a marketing ploy to help gain customers. Don't u think NFL would want to have all the carriers? Of course they do!! It's just like Apple and the iPhone only on AT&T...it was so they could get mass amounts of customers. More customers = more $$$. Once the contract was over, Apple didn't just want to be constricted to just AT&T because they too wanted more money.
If the app costs money, then yes...its considered piracy. The data u use to stream it on is your choice as long as u pay for the data service. It's not like people are stealing Verizon's data services. It's like this, f you buy a phone and your contract is over, shouldn't you be able to use that phone on any carrier that you wish?

I guess it's good news for us all.
Bring on DISH or Google!
Here's a link if anyone wants to see the official statement
WSJ reports this as fact YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL ATT are insane. Look at this hype they have made:
“The actions by the Federal Communications Commission and the Department of Justice to block this transaction do not change the realities of the U.S. wireless industry. It is one of the most fiercely competitive industries in the world, with a mounting need for more spectrum that has not diminished and must be addressed immediately. The AT&T and T-Mobile USA combination would have offered an interim solution to this spectrum shortage. In the absence of such steps, customers will be harmed and needed investment will be stifled.”
Sure.
I'm thankful I get to keep my job! Now tmobile has to think of a crazy master plan. Google exclusive partnership please!

Google is almost not possible. They don't know about the wireless industry and they wouldn't become T-Mobile exclusive when the OS is on all carriers.
There is enough hate in the world. Why can't we all get along here ...?
Hallelujah. Sometimes prayers are answered.
Hmm... a roaming agreement... sweeeeeeeeeeeet, I can mooch of your 42mbps HSPA+ while mooching off AT&T's LTE.
Also, Google will NEVER make their OS exclusive to any carrier, and if they did, it would be Verizon... because Verizon is the biggest android carrier.
Anyways, happy for you guys, you get a few more months till someone else bids for T-Mobile.
Where can we find details on the roaming agreement? will we have 4g roaming?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Just meet up at the store make the purchase there. If the seller is unwilling to go there then tell them to screw off. They will have security cameras all over the place so there is evidence that this person is selling you the phone; and you will also have a witness that this is taking place so if later they claim that they never sold it to you and it was in fact stolen then you have some evidence in your corner. Legally speaking nothing is concrete but you have to think as litigious as possible because scum is everywhere.
And if you want to get really ridiculous you could type up a document stating that they will in fact pay in full the remainder of the contract and/or pay any fees necessary to keep "the specific ImeI" from being blocked from att service. You would have to have them sign it in front of a witness and a notary. If I were spending more than 400 bucks I would get this ridiculous. Then if you have to take them to small claims court this contract will be as good as any other contract and any judge worth a damn will force them to pay the damages.

I was told it was impossible to add for it would not work. Now any good xda junky knows that this is untrue. I can tether through work around that prove them to be lying, now what has me miffed is even if we want to pay for it we can't.
Now I am wondering if we whom are on this whack ass carrier can do something about them discriminating and lying flat out to those of us on the plan. They will sell the package to everyone else but us.

It's not that the "can't" do it, it's that they "won't". If they were to offer that option to the truly unlimited plan I'm sure they would increase the cost of that plan quite a bit. I don't see how this decision could be called "deceptive" since the plan description does say "Smartphone Mobile HotSpot service not compatible with Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data."
The reason they have tethering plans with caps as well as the unlimited plan is because they don't allow tethering on the unlimited plan. If you want to tether get a capped plan.

You weren't lied to. T-Mobile reps can't add mobile hotspot along with Unlimited 4g. It wouldn't work when they process it in the system. Complaining about this when you post on a developers forum which has posted plenty of work arounds seem childish. You can do it for "quickie", but you're warned. You may be moved out the "unlimited" option and moved to 5GB or 10GB and you're flagged.
I wouldn't risk it because I need it (remote desktop uses a lot of data), and I have webconnect plan so I just use it when I need it.

How is that discrimination? If they were to allow tethering on the unlimited plan then many people would turn off their home internet service and just use their phone's mobile hotspot feature. This would drastically increase the data usage on T-Mobile's network and slow down service for everyone. That's why the unlimited plan cannot be used with the mobile hotspot service.
On an unlimited plan it makes sense for them NOT to allow tethering. Think what would happen to the bandwidth if everyone started tethering with unlimited data. Business sense is all that is, and I prefer they keep it that what so my data plan doesn't go up in price. That would happen for sure if that were to happen. Sorry but that's just now it is.

You can spend up to that
So the s3 is 499 so u pay 50$ down and walk with thr phone
They print u papers u call and tell progressive. How mucj u want taken from your bank. ..Each week or once a month

I just thought I'd post this - I know it's off topic, but this is definitely worth a thread.

Once I find it, I'll update this thread with the spectrum that Dish owns.
EDIT: Dish Network owns AWS-4 Spectrum running at 2000Mhz and 2200Mhz.

bery nice how much?
Bummer...I guess this means they won't be buying Sprint after all. Although I guess the whole SoftBank thing kind of put that to bed, didn't it? I so badly wanted that to happen!

I honestly think Sprint will be involved. They're building out their network but there's no way they can get a nation covered by 2013. They will likely partner with Sprint with their lte network for its coverage until they get a hold of things. Reason being, they want to compete against Verizon and At&t, and T-Mobile has the speeds they need, but not exactly the coverage. When sprint finishes their network vision, it'll be on par with Verizon in terms of speeds and coverage.

im predicting $30-50/month for unlimited everything with no throttling.

Agree with you on that one. I actually think it might be better as Sprint is upgrading every tower in their network with a few exceptions. I'm also excited Sprint just bought some people and spectrum from US Cellular in the Chicago market. In two years, Sprint will have THE best network in Chicago, and I'm happy about that.

They will probably be very tempting when it comes to their entry level pricing. Google likes to recruit a lot of customers by promotions that they lose money on, then make the money from elsewhere. (Ie: Google Play Market. If they sell only Android phones, more android apps will be bought from the market.)

The article says the Google network will be data-only, no call minutes or SMS/MMS. That stuff would be handled as VoIP, most likely through Google Voice.
So, I'm guessing it would be $20-40/month for unlimited data. Any sort of cap obviously wouldn't work for a data-only network.

That would be the bees knees and a logical evolution I hop right on that band wagon

That means if they go on the Sprint network on solely data it could bog down them down. I'm really curious what their infrastructure plans are.

Dish Network owns AWS-4 spectrum at 2000Mhz/2200Mhz spectrum. This frequency covers slightly less customers with slightly less building penetration. The best way to think of it is between Sprint's 3G and Wimax coverage.
If they decide to go with Sprint in the meantime, they'll probably be forced to have a cap on data until they get their own network on the ground. Google will definitely have a strong presence in the U.S. cellular market.
dish is horrible at making deals, look at what is going on with amc, they are having problems trying to get em back in there line up. I could see this deal collapsing if google mentions money.

Yea it does happen all the time, but amc is one of 5 or 6 channels that was dropped. Just bc they didnt want to give em more money, its been over a year and they still have yet to come to a resolution. Lets look at direct tv, when they had that 17 channel problem, they got that done within a week. So yes i do think they are bad at making deals or getting deals, resolved.

I was about to say the same and judging a company on channel deals is a bit ridiculous. It has nothing to do with wireless phone technology.

If google goes through with this I seriously doubt they'd use any CDMA carrier for any kind of backbone.
Every nexus device they've released has always been on GSM networks first and I don't even think the Nexus 4 will hit Sprint or Verizon.
Google loves the sim cards.

Google's looking at data only network, which means it'll need fast speeds to support voice over IP. LTE is a gsm based technology and Sprint is Google's best carrier friend (Google Voice, Google Play bill to account features, etc.)
