[REQ] SongPop for ARMv6 devices - Galaxy Ace S5830 Themes and Apps

Hello everyone!
I just saw a thread for Galaxy Gio about this, but maybe a port for Galaxy Ace only?
On my iPod (that is now broken) I used to play a game called SongPop.
Now my friends are spamming my Facebook, with 'Battle with me!' etc.
I wanted to download SongPop, but my device (GT-S5830) is not supported.
But the crazy thing is, my brother has a HTC Wildfire S and he CAN download & update SongPop.
Which is weird to me, because HTC Wildfire S has worse specs than Galaxy Ace right?
So my question is, is there a port for Galaxy Ace? Or could someone make it?
Btw, I saw a warez (full version) APK for S5830, but the version is 1.0. Did SongPop support our Ace in version 1.0,
and discontinued in further versions? This is confusing me..

I also wanted SongPop for my Ace.
Are you sure your friend has the HTC Wildfire S? And you sure its SongPop?
Might be there is something thT the HTC has and our doesn't

Pretty weird, huh?
My brother doesn't play it on Facebook, and the only device where he can play it on is on his HTC Wildfire S.
I know people who have the HTC Wildfire S, but my brother is the ONLY one with SongPop, but sadly he removed the app to clear space, so I cant get that APK from his phone!
Hmmm.. we I guess that SongPop really is ARMv7 and higher..
And cant find ARMv6 ports on Google...

[Q] porting original wildlife roms

How easy wud it be port an original. Wildfire. Rom to our wildfire s.
Impossible, different screen res and size. Wildfire has QVGA whilst WFS has HVGA
Its perfectly possible. Devs from the wildfire forum have ported roms from higher res phones.

Why on earth would you want a wildfire rom on your wildfire S? It's older, smaller and slower.. duh.

Easier than coding a whole rom from scratch.

Then why don't we have ports from the Incredible S, Desire S. Etc.

You port things from similar devices. For example on the wildfire we've ported roms from the HTC Hero. Because of the similar CPU and input devices (trackball)

its perfectly possible...and for the screen size etc... u can changue the dpi values etc....
but i think that its better to wait for a custom rom based in a marvel oficial european ruu....
at the htcmania forum there are some custom roms with sense and without sense,,,, the problem is the language,,, if u don´t find it... PM and i will provide the direct link...

Because those are higher end phones. It's easy to port phones with similar specs, screen sizes, etc. It is somewhat possible to port roms from higher end devices but it requires a lot of coding and resizing.

Really, it depends on the features you want / need. Whether you would like to stick with HTC (Sense), or are ready to switch etc. There are a lot of options out there for 18-19K (Some may go to 20)
- Galaxy S1
- Nexus S
- Xperia Ray
- Neo V
Sadly, no HTC's though. You will have to up your budget to 21K to get the Desire S. (Or 15K for the ChaCha / Salsa)
Thnx for reply bro...
I have shortlisted some phones
1.Sony ericssion neo v
2.Samsung nexus s
3.Motorola defy +
4.Samsung galaxy s I9001
Please give me a best phone as per performance on gaming n future Android updates.

I think, for the two reasons you have listed, all are pretty similar, whichever way you look at it. All of them are 1 (Galaxy S OC'ed to 1.4)GHz phones with a dedicated GPU chip (Galaxy S Plus and Neo V have the same chipset), and, all them should be upgradeable to ICS (Nexus S will definitely be getting an official update, SE has said all of their 2011 phones will get an official update. For the others, even if they don't receive an official update, they should be powerful enough to get custom ROMs atleast)
If you like modding your phone, rooting, custom ROMs and that stuff, then I would say, go for the Nexus S, which has the strongest dev community. Else, as I said before, they are pretty much balanced.

[Q] Sky Go

hi guys wonder if you can help have just installed the Sky Go app but it wont load any media then i read "Sky Go is not supported on any Android device that has been rooted" is there away to get it to work
SGS2 with CF-ROOT
cheers
Ah, so that's what that message says. Flashes past so quick I can't read it and then sticks on "loading 1/100".
Would also be very interested in anything the genii of xda can do for us...
mine Just comes up with "Sorry, Sky Go is not currently supported on this device. Please see FAQS for more information." think this is because i'm running an ICS rom any way to get round this?
Currently doesn't work on:
1. ICS;
2. anything rooted; and
3. anything that is not a Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Incredible or HTC Sensation
which is ****e really. Hence we are at the mercy of the great and the good of xda to do what Sky couldn't/wouldn't and get this working properly on, primarily, rooted devices and then deal with the other problems.

[Q] Can I install HTC ONE V's Stock Rom ON my WIldfire S..?

How Can I install HTC ONE V's Stock Rom ON my WIldfire S..?
Plzz tell...
no, you can't, because of hardware differences
Hi Mstfkaratas I'm using ur infrarom beta its pretty great I loved it can u give any updates for this Rom plzz..
Thanks

Here's how I did it, and I believe this to be the safest way possible: I gave my Wildfire S to my wife, went to the phone shop and bought the One V. I'm VERY happy.
Seriously, they are working on porting the Sense 4.0 ROM from the Golf (Desire C). The phone is physically similar to the Wildfire S and the ROM very similar to the One V's:
[DEV] RUU for HTC Golf ICS-Sense
I think that's the best answer we can hope for.

Dead trigger isnt released in play store for Desire hd. But Apple appstore has it for iphone 3gs. i cant understand them
It was compatible at the begining with our DHD, but it seems that Madfinger remove the DHD from working phones list, maybe because they know that there is a big issue...
I think/hope they will put an update...Dead trigger is also compatible with android phones like galaxy S, defy etc...it's just a issue with the DHD (I'm not sure if other adreno 205 phones have the same problem)
