HELP FOR DEVELOPER - not working HOME BUTTON+LOCKSCREEN! - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, guys! I am the Jelly Sandwich developer and I have one question for you. I want to get fast answer, because I want to release new version of ROM today. I modificated 4.0 to make 4.1 by adding tweaks to init.d, adding new status bar, etc. Flashing was succesful and ROM booted, but I can't use home button, there's no lockscreen and nothing but "turn off" in power menu. Please, help me! If I get help faster I'll be able to release new Jelly Sandwich even today! I'm gonna try to fix it by myself, but I also want to know if other people know what's wrong with that.
HELP!
I'm gonna click "thanks" button :3

I've fixed that, never mind.

How?

You need Setupwizard.apk to enable Lockscreen and Homebutton, as it is not working while your setting up your phone

[REQUEST] Modified SystemUI.apk

Hey, I have a small request for some kind dev.
I'm using a Kindle Fire running JackpotClavin's ICS 4.0.3 ROM. Can someone please modify this SystemUI.apk to remove the Airplane mode, Wi-Fi and Notifications settings from the quick settings menu? I tried to do it myself but I can't figure out what to take out. It's not a big deal, but those settings are extremely useless for me, and just get in the way. Especially in the ROM that I'm using, since turning off notifications makes SystemUI crash at the moment.
Thanks a ton
I did it, will make it into the next build

on second thought! something happened!! after flashing, dman's EPM mod stopped showing when holding the power button! I'm reflashing the EPM and will check again!
Ahhh! I see.. both your mod and dmans EPM mod flashes the same framework file! overwriting it that's why! maybe there might be a was to combine them!!
>_> Forgot something.
Flashing this overwrites the other framework-res...
Not sure if you can do both, unless I fuse all of these together.
I'll see if I can figure out how to do an EPM

if your able to do the EMP can you include the tethering fix also!!
Thanks again
P.S. Would you mind if I include your mods like this one, the startup and shutdown animation, and the 4.2 camera in the rom I've been working on? Giving due credits of course!!
Yeah sure no problem XD

I would love to have full rotation too, but not if it means losing the EPM. Hope you can work them together!

ok Try this.. it's most all the mods Aquethys made all compiled into one zip.
A big thanks to Aquethys and Dman3285 for providing these mods
includes the following...
EPM (extended power menu)
Wifi Tethering fix
4 Way rotation
Lock screen rotation
Navigation Buttons
Enjoy....

I think I may have some edits to do! All seems working except for the 4 way rotation! The lock screen rotates just fine but the home screen won't unless the keyboard it out! Strange!! It's only the home screen for apex launcher, it works in other apps! I'll look into it tomorrow. maybe it's something in the launcher and not the mod!
Sent from my SGH-I927 using Tapatalk 2
Edit: fixed! It was in the launcher!
ok upon request I am posting links to the combined mods!!
i927 mod with EPM, wifi tethering, Nav buttons, 4 way rotation, Lock screen ratation...... HERE
i927 mod with everything except for the Nav Buttons..... HERE
Aquethys, if you want, please add to the op!
Thanks
Awesome, I was just going to ask for a variation without the Nav Buttons... Thanks!
dbrannon, correct me if I'm wrong... but the non-navbuttons mod appears to be on UCLH2.
I've flashed the stock res back each time, and tried both mods - the original is definitely UCLJ3, but second shows me this... (see pic)
Can someone else confirm? I've downloaded twice and got the same result.

That's wired! I will double check, but I used the same framework file in both versions! What info do you get in "about phone" ?

Edit: ok I figured it out! yes both combined mods I used Dman's EPM as the base and added Aquethy's mods to it. Dman's EPM mod was based from the leaked version! my apologies! it shouldn't cause any problems but I will work on a update that will show the correct version!

Dman's cm10 uses the power and vol down buttons, if I'm not mistaken ICS uses the power and home buttons! maybe a reprogramming of the search button by holding it down!!
I installed the mod without the nav bar, everything works fine, but just wanted to point out that I lost the aosp unlock screen (I think that's how its called) that came with dman's uclj3 rom. Not a big problem, but I would love to get it back. Is there a way to do it? Thanks

[mod] NFC With the Screen Locked

Got my free Tech Tiles from Sammy and found that I had to turn on and unlock my phone to use them. Well that just wasn't going to do.
All Credit Goes to Mayhemmer on the GS3 forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1712024
I included a flashable zip for those who wan't it and the apk itself if you just wanna push it with root explorer or something.
it would be best to make a backup of your NFC.apk, I tested with KillaJoule v.09 but don't see any reason it wouldn't work with other roms with the same base. If not let me know and I will try and make another one from the rom you are using.

Just installed it on Tesh's dll7 rom. After setting permissions and restarting, everything seems to be working normal.
Just an FYI for those trying it. The screen has to be on for it to work.
Thanks for the heads up on this.
Have been trying some many other NFC mods, but experienced random FCs.
But this one is pure gold. Not FC since 18 hours in use. Great! Thanks!
if I posted the Sprint NFC.apk can you mod it to work screen off? I REALLY REALLY miss the screen off NFC from my S3 and want it badly on my Note II
Hi, does it work on stock Note II ? Or it is specific to T-Mobile ?
Thx
FWIW on the Tweaked rom you can choose the behavior - normal, normal + lockscreen, or all that + screen off.

Use Tasker for that.
They give away Tasker Beta for free, as stated in this article:

You can delete the odex file or if you made a backup of your nfc.apk you can just rename it to nfc.odex.bak

If you can send me the nfc.apk I could mod it to work from the lock screen. For some reason screen off doesn't work for the Note 2 like it did for the S3. Might try getting screen off to work later when I have some time.

Is it possible to have NFC working while screen is off on stock rom (i've replaced Nfc.apk but it's working only on locked phone)
Any way to mod the CM10.1 NFC? I tried the one in the OP in CM10.1 and the NFC service just can't be started. Below is a link to stock cm10.1 NFC.apk if anyone is kind enough to make it work with screen off

[Q] On screen buttons on OpenSEMC 0.5

Hi,
I got a question about enabling on screen buttons in OpenSEMC 0.5 running android 4.2.2, what is btw one of the best ROMS I've ever seen.
On AOKP 4.1.2 the option was integrated but the dev of this Rom haven't included it yet, so I need another way to get my loved on screen buttons.

Easiest way..
Use root explorer..
Got to system/build.prop
Enter qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 at the bottom..
Save it and change the permissions to rw-r-r..
Reboot and enjoy..

App-Choose
OK,
I tried it and works fine.
But am I wrong or are the buttons bigger than on a Nexus 4 or Galaxy Nexus?
I think they are a little big too big
Another thing maybe somebody could help me with.
I have Google Now and Alicoid (like Siri but on Android) and with the latest version of Alicoid, you're able to put the App into I call it "long-home-button-press-menu" (idk how to call it. I'm German )
But in my case (idk if anybody else noticed that yet because Alicoid is not such a famous app) there is only a Search button (like in 1st Screenshot)
And after I selected that search-button the normal app-chose menu pops up (2nd screenshot) and let me choice between Gnow and Alicoid.
Maybe sb can say me if there is any possibility to get rid of this app-choser and to have both apps in the "long-home-button-press-menu".
I know my discription is a little cofusing put i hope somebody knows what i mean
Thanks!
EDIT: Screenshots added!

[WIP][AOSP][DEV] Android 4.3 port d2att

Download links removed, it's just 4.2.2 framework and apps with 4.3 in the names. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought this was 4.3 from the beginning myself. If anyone wants to start trying to port the 4.3 Galaxy S IV google edition, or 4.3 from the Nexus 4 over, just shoot me a PM. I'll be glad to risk my device to help the community.
To any mod that sees this, go ahead and close it or keep it open for development reasons.

Yeah settings is a bit screwed. We couldn't figure out how to get it working right while trying to maintain pure AOSP settings by removing all of the CM settings.

Because samsung hasn't released source code for 4.2.2, because its not out officially (Everyone that has a samsung phone and is involved in development knows how slow samsung is with version updates,) And for 4.3, this is a leaked build ported from the Xperia Z. We would have much rather tried AOSP, but every attempt with a AOSP rom (Such as the Google edition S4 rom) we couldn't get the system to boot, so we stuck with what we could get working. We would have rather used all of google's sources, but there wasn't much of any other way for us to do it, especially since all of the AOSP roms for the d2att are built using CM libraries. It's a mess of what we've done, i know but at least we were able to bring it over to the device.
