Hey tweeple
I'm looking for an app that can block a resource to a particular app
For eg block interest access to WhatsApp but not for other apps like Gmail
Like a toggle... Block access for 10min and then switch it back on to allow access
And in this while other apps should not suffer
I mostly want to block Internet access
You get me point?
I know about PDroid but looking for something more faster
Thanks for your replies

how about LBE Privacy Guard
Pdroid.

Anyone know a way to block apps from seeing root? My work requires an app to get access to the exchange server, but it checks to see if I'm rooted. I reverted back to stock after not finding a good solution, but I miss CM so I'm hoping there's a way...

I think (keyword:think) MIUI from Notorious has that option. You could try that.
Be sure to read your company's policy though, because it may be illegal to do that.

Great idea, but would that stop the app from running as root or checking for root? My company app doesn't need root to run but it checks randomly for root access....

My bad, I think it only blocks root on a per app basis. Your companies' server will probably still see phone root access.

Thanks for the link. I found this app previously, but was hoping someone had experience with it. I guess I could root and give it a try...

From my understanding, it may or may not work with CM type ROMs.

I have read Google find a way to bypass ad blocking apps on Android 4.2 and higher. Is this true? I am not sure I want to update to 4.3 if this is true (4.1.2 right now). Thanks guys!

Hello.
Is there a way disable auto system update so it wouldn't even show in notification? I don't want update to Android 10 until Good Lock with all it's modules is fully compatible.
Using factory unlocked SM-N975U1 (on T-Mobile network)
I disabled updates since day one with package disabler pro, I do this because even if you disable automatic updates in settings, for some reason, sometimes, the system ignores this anf download the files, besides package disabler pro is very useful for disabling unwanted apps, CCSWE is also excellent

I don't have com.ws.dm and it still showing notification.
@winol: your reply is quite useless without explaining what packages you've disabled...

Not really useless. You disable software updates if that is what your asking.

Check in ur Developer Options. There use to be option to disable it there for notifications for T-Mobile.
On Att here so mine little different.
If OP is talking about software updates that toggle does not stop them. Unsure if talking about software updates or basic update notifications

Yes, you must disable the 3 packages that manage the software updates, if not, sooner or later the update will download, specially if there is some "urgent issue" as per samsung criteria

Correct you must disable these 3, haven't got any notifications about system update and update tab in settings is completely gone!
