Hello.
Is there a way disable auto system update so it wouldn't even show in notification? I don't want update to Android 10 until Good Lock with all it's modules is fully compatible.
Using factory unlocked SM-N975U1 (on T-Mobile network)
I disabled updates since day one with package disabler pro, I do this because even if you disable automatic updates in settings, for some reason, sometimes, the system ignores this anf download the files, besides package disabler pro is very useful for disabling unwanted apps, CCSWE is also excellent

Check in ur Developer Options. There use to be option to disable it there for notifications for T-Mobile.
On Att here so mine little different.
If OP is talking about software updates that toggle does not stop them. Unsure if talking about software updates or basic update notifications

Yes, you must disable the 3 packages that manage the software updates, if not, sooner or later the update will download, specially if there is some "urgent issue" as per samsung criteria

We just don't get it. Old Xperia L could play it, but the S3 get's no love on the game for some reason,.
Its an issue with 4.3 on the S3 and I don't know why they haven't been able to fix it. I did get it to run a while back but had to install an older version that I knew worked because I used to run it
Yeah the older versions worked perfectly but the new one is not.

This new versions been out for a while. I dont think theyre doing a bug fix.
Ps: does anyone know how to disable the update notification in the old versions. i cant play with data/wifi on because it keep bugging me to update to the new version. it takes me to the market and as you know its "incompetible"
If enough people email the dev it might motivate them to fix it. Especially if everyone starts demanding refunds and leaving poor reviews. No guarantee of course, but its more guaranteed that nothing will happen if no one tries to make it happen!
In app manager most apps have a checkbox for display notifications. Maybe that'll help?

When I was using the Galaxy S 4 I was able to see my accounts in the pull down notification bar with account information. When I go into the settings options for the T-mobile My Account application on the G3, it will not allow me to put it in the notification bar pull down. It says "Display usage information in the notification bar" but you can't choose to have this option, the check mark is greyed out.

Get the same app from Z or maybe a Force will work too.
On MM these "fake" apps Z app effectively disabled many app which if they installed, would force close without much fuss.
Be careful some do create a stink and if you do not know what to do you must wipe data from recovery.

Hey ol friend I'm not sure about an "app ops" type of app. However, you may want to look into "My Android Tools" from the PS. It allows you to shut down background running services on virtually any app you have, including system apps, while still allowing you to use the app when you need it. Not sure if that's what your wanting to do, but I thought I'd throw it out there for you ??

I know you have my friend, but honestly, there would be too many screen shots to post! It monitors every app, both user and system, and then allows you to shut down what you want. Best advice I can give is to just try it out. Here's a little tip, I monitor what's running in developer options/running services, if I see something always running when I'm not using it, I shut that particular service off :good:

I used Enable doze for GMS module before Sysconfig patcher. Enable doze for GMS module is great for what it does, but it is a one-trick pony. Sysconfig patcher modifies additional files to allow doze for those as well, which saves more battery.
