hi all.
how can i fix this. even if I read and delete received sms, messaging icon on rooted stock LG1 shows always 1 unread sms. rebooting is the only remedy, but rebooting after every sms received its stupid. any workaround. or fix?

I'm experiencing a very strange behaviour in my SMS widget. Everything works fine until you receive a SMS and delete it without opening. Then in the widget you still have a notification of an unread message and can't get rid of it, because you can't open the deleted message. I'm using ARHD 5.1.7, but I had the same behaviour in previous versions (maybe it started with Gingerbread). Any thoughts on this?
I tried to delete the data for the messaging app and widget but still no success (that didn't even delete my messages, so maybe they are stored somewhere else). Seems that the only way of geting rid of the notification is to do a full wipe, but I won't do it just because of this.
I had something similar to this, pain in the ass keep thinking you have a new message but you dont. It was just with the stock msg app, it eventually just stopped doing it after I deleted all my msgs. who knows..
I'm experiencing the same problem. I don't know if I deleted some SMSs directly from the widget without opening them (it's very likely). Anyway the widget says I have 2 unread SMS but it is not true! I have 0 unread SMS actually.
I'm looking for a way to solve this problem without deleting all the SMSs.

is anyone else having issues with sms badges not deleting after sms messages have been read? if there a fix? if i reboot it seems to clear it, but wanted a better solution.
anyone have the same issue or found a resolution?
i have this issue. this doesn't happen (most of the time) if i check a new message by pressing the "Messaging" icon. if i view new messages using the notification bar, the badge (number indicating new messages) doesn't go away.
My SMS icon isn't updating that I have read my messages. It continues to say I have 1 or 2 unread messages in the Icon itself.
I am rooted and have Ariel flashed.
However, even before Ariel I had winanlite and it was like this.
Hi guys,
Just want to ask if some of you experience this?
Sometimes when I go into my SMS inbox it says "empty". And even when I received a text, it will still say "empty" in my inbox. I have to restart my phone and then all messages are back.
I use stock messaging app and GO SMS.

mind to share is it every time happened?? have u uninstall "go sms" ... and try??
Actually I first experienced it when I was using stock sms app.
Then I still experienced it after I installed GO SMS.
It happens once in a while but not frequent. I'm just curious if there's a way to stop it from happening.
Thanks
I use "Missed it!" on my One X, since yesterday it shows 1 missed SMS, but if i take a look... there is no new sms.
I already cleared the message-app no sms or mms in there, no hidden sms from blocked contacts etc. etc.
It still shows 1 message and i cant delet this "invisble" one.
Did anyone have a idea or solution?
Edit: I used Kamosoft "Unread SMS" to find the hidden SMS, all ok now!
