Cool! Thanks for another option! Do you know if this helps with the apps 2 sd issue that some roms are having by using custom recoveries?

Hello.
I just picked up a brand new Epic Touch. By default, it has FI03 installed. I would like to downgraded it to EL29. Primarily, to have the ability to installed FoxFi for tethering. Wifi Tether isn't working out too well. It keeps on timing out and all.
Is downgrading possible? Will there be any hardware-software conflict?
Thank you in advance.
Here is a stock rooted EL29 one click..nope no soft ware hardware conflict.. Only thing you might run into are some apps from play store that are compatible with ginger bread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1433101

How did "brand new" e4gt come with FI03? That was never official I thought... It should've come with either FF18 or FH13.

Maybe it was a refurbished phone?
Even refurbished would have been flashed to a released ics version. The only way fi03 would have been on that phone is if it was flashed by someone.

I was able to comment on someone else post but now I can not I have tried to uninstalling Facebook and reinstalling it but its still the say. I am also having problems with my GPS,and with my screen getting stuck with the image being real lite and faded then I would have to take out battery to restart it. Also my battery has been getting real hot sometimes that I will have to take it out let it cool down for a few mins then restart it this happen a few times a day.. Model number SPH-D710 Android version 4.0.3 Kernel version 3.0.15-SPH-D710,FC06-CL210242

Hey there, same thing has happened to me. It however did not effect my flash. I believe it is in the kernel that you are flashing. Most roms reflash their own kernel so it doesnt matter but you can use a different cwm kernel and it will not happen.

It is the kernel. I think it's an el26 CWM direct boot. I had the same thing and your right it doesn't or I should say didn't affect my flash but I would recommend using el29 from rwilco's repository.
Had my E4GT for a while now, came with FF18 2.3.6, then did the OTA 4.0.4 FL27, then went through FL24. Then I got sick of waiting for JB, so I threw GA10 4.1.2.
I messed up, because I Rooted, installed AGAT, then flashed the ROM on the phone. However, when I flashed either the ROOT or Recovery, the modem or something got messed up.
The phone will freeze, and reset if 4G or 3G radio is on. So my question is, what did I do wrong? And how can I fix it.

Well first off FF18 was 4.0.4 not 2.3.6. FL27 is JB and not OTA that was FL24. Anyway, what modem are you running at the moment?

I don't know what my modem is. I'm going to try to turn 3G and 4G off fast enough before my phone freezez to confirm it's not 2G as well.
How do I check? As it sits, it has OTA FL24 4.0.4 + ROOT and AGAT recovery.

Alright, I turned off 3G and 4G. it still freezez and resets. So I assume I have to flash my modem? If so, how? ( have Desktop ODIN, which I assume is what I need.)
My goal ATM is to revert back to stock/OTA 2.3.6. I don't like ICS, and GA10 has HORRID battery life.

That will take you to the stock ROM repository where you can find every ROM official and leaked if I'm not mistaken.... You'll probably want EL29 so just find it there and download the version you want to use i.e one click, zip etc..

It is. My main reason for wanting GB again is I think GB was fantastic. Sure it's not JB, but it combined solid performance, with good battery life.
ICS is buggy, GA10 gets horrid battery life. 2.3.6 works....

Absolutely. Just when it starts up, it works fine for about 10-15 seconds then freezes. GA10 didn't do this. This freezing only happened when I had the root and AGAt on it (I messed up one of these, and I assume it's modem issues?)
IF so, if I flash the EL29 package with the modem, it should fix my problem?
Also, it doesn't really matter...but will it make the yellow triangle and ODIN flash count go away?

Okay just go to the link I provided download the EL29 one click, and let me know if everything works. Just to make sure you know how to use a one click, correct? As for the yellow triangle I'm not completely sure. If it doesn't let me know, and I'll give you a link to something that will.

Alright, it's all back to FL29 stock. (I swear, it's about as fast as Jb...)
Now I'll just be happy with it..
I tried AOKP 4.1.1, which ran HOT and had many issues (For me)
Then I tried AOSP 4.1.1 Alpha 6 (Fantastic, but horrid battery life)
GA10 (Best I've tried, but horrid battery life)
2.3.6 OTA is my favorite so far.
Yellow triangle is gone... XD
