In need of stock unrooted odin tar. Any version will do - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hey guys,
I have a problem with my phone's USB connection. It constantly believes it is connected regardless if it is or not. As a result, I cannot put the device in Developer mode to unroot the device.
I need to unroot the device so that Sprint can replace it for me. Every version of odin I see available is of the rooted variety and the FH13 Odin unrooted version has been pulled for now.
Does anyone have an unrooted odin tar available?
Thanks

Thank you sir, dev-host looks like it's in the middle of an upgrade. Any chance someone has a mirror? If not I'll just wait.
Thanks again!

We aren't allowed to mirror the file. What Rom are you running right now?

rwilco I believe also has a FH13 stock unrooted one click...

I believe he removed all of the unrooted versions for now. I could be wrong but I think I read that somewhere.
I am uploading a zip file that will fix you up. My upload is slow but I will post it when it is done.

You can use one of sfhub's One-Clicks on the phone.
You'll need a zip extractor and Mobile Odin. [There is a free version of Mobile Odin around there that Chainfire provide for the XDA Crowd; you just need to flash his support files]
Follow sfhub's superb instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721229
Then just delete the superuser apk.
That should surely be enough for you to show Sprint your stock.

Finally finished. Backup whatever you need to and flash this in CWM. This will give you stock FH13 with wiped data and stock kernel. You can flash the FH13 modem before using that zip or Odin it if you want a matching set. If you aren't already using the FH13 modem that is.

Can't Find Sprint Stock Flash Program -again
A while back I had to flash my phone back to stock. Sprint had a program that was NOT odin. I am on holiday and the new gingerbread has seriously screwed up my phone. It does not work correctly and the battery drain is tremendous.
I have the program on my desktop pc, but not my laptop. can ANYBODY please direct me to the Non-odin way to flash the Samsung Epic back to stock? I am able to update the phone over 3g/4g after that for updates.
Thanks

[ACS][Odin]Stock EG30 Odexed with Root 3.0/Busybox 1.18.4

Big thanks to RoadRAGEN for helping me figure out an ext4 issue! Odin this to get Odexed stock EG30 with latest root and su binary and Busybox 1.18.4.
This does not wipe data.
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. You do this at your own risk.
I have only tested this with the stock kernel and Bubby's CWM kernel.
Download
IMPORTANT: Make sure you have installed the proper XP or Win7 drivers before starting. Also, remove the SD card from the phone (this may not be necessary, but having the SD card installed has caused Odin to fail for a number of people, so might as well just do it).
1. Extract the contents of the zip file to a folder
2. Open odin
3. Put your phone in download mode (Shut it off, wait for lights to all go out, then hold v-down + power)
4. connect phone (you should see odin put a Com4 or something like that in the first box. The actual number is NOT important what is important is something popped up there when you connected your device, meaning ODIN can see it)
5. The only box that should be checked is Auto Reboot.
6. You do not need to choose a pit file.
7. In the PDA Section choose the tar file. (Odexed-Rooted-Busybox-EG30.tar)
8. Hit start. It will do its thing.
9. If it fails than try a new cable.
10. If the phone hangs for any reason take the battery and sdcard out and let it sit for an hour. Put it back together and try again.

Yes. That is what I have done in testing.
So with this we will have as stock of a ROM as we can currently have, yet still have root and busybox? By stock, I mean the default, out of the factory stock ROM which many claim does not have the LOS issues? Just confused somewhat...
Dude, major win here. Good work!

So i guess we can flash this over zedo's v4 anyone try yet?

Rooted with Zedomax + Caulkins Rom. Constantly rebooting.

Reboots usually about 10+ times a day. During calls etc. Any way to remedy this?
Note: it doesn't restart from the very beginning it freezes, goes black then boots up the lock screen all media connects are restarted etc.
From the limited amount of research I've done the zedomax method for rooted is no longer used? (Currently I get the yellow exclamation point at reboot).
What do I need to do (in lame mans terms) to get my phone back to normal?
TIA!
Easiest way is to one click Odin. I'm not sure which your on. I'm assuming GB. So you can one click Odin to stock el29+ root. Or if you want one click Odin to FF18 or FH13 to upgrade to ICS. And if your on ICS you can use triangle away to get rid of yellow triangle on the splash screen.

Using ZedoMax kernel is your problem from the get go. Even Zedomax would have a good laugh at that. Its an OLD OLD kernel.
EG30 and EK02 can be rooted via usb with the zerg exploit and sfhubs auto root made that easy. Easiest way with EL29 or the newer ICS firmwares as well is just to flash a prerooted one click. But you can always odin a kernel with custom recovery and flash super user.

Use Heimdall to flash tars then. Grab the one for FH13 if you want the latest official ICS or EL29 if you want the last GB out. Sfhubs one click threads have a second post with the tars as for FH13 dunno how Garwynn and rwilco have their stuff arranged.

You have CWM recovery right?
If so copy Calks rom onto your phone, if you don't still have it there.
Download the EL29 zip file to your phone from http://rwilco12.androidfilehost.com...y Kernels/GB/Rogue Recovery/Stock Repacks/ZIP.
Instll that zip from recovery and reboot back into recovery.
Install Calks Rom again.
You should be fixed now.
If you prefer to go with FH13 (ICS):
Download the AGAT_v0.5.4.zip file to your phone from http://rwilco12.androidfilehost.com...y Kernels/ICS/Agats Source Built Recovery/ZIP
Copy this file to your phone http://d-h.st/Txi

Bump.
Different issue:
1. I keep getting a FI27 Software Update reminder. I am able to clear it out of my notifications but 5-10 mins it's back again. It will interrupt whatever it is I am doing at the moment.
2. Is there a separate current radio I can download? My gps can never find my current location, rendering the turn by turn feature useless since I can't use it.
Any thoughts?
TIA

I followed this guide but substituted the latest version of Odin in place of the suggested version. The key for me was to pull the battery. This most likely will trip your counter but you can use the triangle away app to clear it.
I was just concerned because my Baseband Version is "I747UCLH9" and the download is "I747UCALG1"
If you didn't get it rooted yet go to rootgalaxys3.com for full instructions if u just want to to root and stay on stock that's how it begins I am very new to this but I highly recommend it. doubt after root u would stay on stock he even has his own rom, based off stock nice rom for those who like touchwiz.

I can't find anything on XDA saying that I can flash the UCALG1 over the OTA update that gave us UCLH9 without hassle. I guess no one has the HCLH9 version root injected yet? Or am I missing something here. If anyone could shed some light on this that would be great, thank you.
You can flash cwm from Odin reboot into recovery flash su and enjoy . Oh and use triangle away to reset the counter.

This is the best way. Flashing root-injected LG1 requires doing a factory reset and then updating to LH9 again.

Great, Problems after JB update!

Got my JB update today, I was rooted stock before, and the install went fine without any problems.
After the update, my Quadrant score went down dramatically, from 4500 (stock rooted ICS) to 3700 JB.
So I did a factory reset and all hell breaks loose. I dont seem to have 4G anymore, although the 4G signs is showing on the top. Play store, Maps, Navigations, etc wont load (maybe since I dont internet it wont load?). After noticing all these problems, I did another factory reset.
And now I cant even sign in to Google.
Seriously, I never thought an OTA upgrade would mess up my phone.
Can anyone shine a light my way?
Thanks.
I had a similar problem with the OTA LH2 on a rooted stock ICS , I couldn't connect WIFI, a lot of apps weren't working properly. After 4-5 factory resets, still no go. My only option was to use ODIN and reinstall the complete firmware that way, and all was back to normal. Im pretty sure this happened because of OTA over a rooted device. Worth a try I think.. Good luck.
Odin the update like above then enter recovery and wipe again, sucks you got a messed up download.

Unzip the odin file, turn the device off, holding volume down, home button and then the power button, the phone should go into download mode, start odin up, connect the phone via usb, hit the pda option, then browse to the file you downloaded and unzipped, the md5 file should be the only file showing up, select it and hit start.
Phone will auto restart upon completion.

And now I cant even sign in to Google.
Seriously, I never thought an OTA upgrade would mess up my phone.
Can anyone shine a light my way?
Thanks.

I was stock rooted. Updated. Cwm said it failed but it gave me the option to flash untrusted zip. Flashed. Works flaws less. No problems

Edit: Don't use that file, use this: https://hotfile.com/get/179444770/50a3b770/48ddf5f/T999UVDLJA_T999TMBDLJA_TMB.zip

Welcome dark!
Im a lil salty myself. I love the update except i get a little screen flicker when i scroll up and down sometimes (disabling hw overlay aka project butter fixes) and the call quality kind of downgraded slightly. I love everything else so far.
Mobile Odin is your friend to the OP. Took me 10 min or so

Perfect example of why I always say to do firmware upgrades either OTA (if 100% stock unrooted) or Odin.

Is that file the stock rooted JB OTA? I downloaded the root66 stock rooted OTA: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390169635556426451
But the file that I downloaded has *.7z thus unrecognizable by ODIN's PDA option.
I will download your file now and give it a shot.
Thanks!

Thats 7zip. Download from 7zip.org and use to extract.
If you want thst stock unrooted on, get it from my fw thread. The download should be a LOT faster than using hotfile

Ok, I downloaded the *.7z file, extracted, flash it through ODIN and get my wifi to work, and my 4g to work for a brief moment.
Then my 4g stopped working again, and i notice that when i go to Status option in the setting, my device is listed as Modified, whereas for a few minutes after i flashed, it was listed as Normal.
When my device was listed as Normal, my 4g would work, then it switched itself to Modified and it seems that Samsung or Tmo locked my device.
Ugh, I am so bummed!
Modified ststus is jusy becsuse your rooted. It goes away if you revert.
It shouldnt have any bearing on your data though.
What does it say for baseband, network type, and is your imei there?

I am on stock ICS (Android version 4.0.4)
My baseband version is T999UVLEM
I rooted my phone when I got it at launch, and then put off all the incremental updates until official JB was released for Tmobile. Now that it's released, I'd like to update to. What is the proper way for me to do this? Flash through odin I assume? Will I still be able to keep my root or root the device after JB is installed?
Thanks in advance, I just don't want a nightmare situation like the OP if I flash incorrectly

Thanks for that, it pretty much covers all of my questions.
One that I'm still wondering about though, is can I go straight from rooted UVALEM to the latest JB firmware? Or do I flash back to stock UVALEM and THEN flash JB? Or do I need to flash each incremental update before finally finishing off with JB?

Yup! Just Odin flash the full firmware file, not the ota. Use the root66 version to stay rooted.

Thanks GG, been a while dude, I've no issues so far with the update, everything is smooth, my playstore acted weird for a bit, then after adding my accounts, it worked fine, weird. Otherwise, I gotta admit I'm loving it.

Or they can use the regular firmware file, flash it via mobile odin which roots it for ya, without the hassle and is much faster, I used it so I can say clearly it did an excellent job.
Note: if hotfile is too slow and there are no alternatives, I can upload the full firmware odin file to dev-host for everyone.

I always use mobile odin pro. My favorite app! But not everyone wants to pay for it and the free version doesnt have EverRoot.
I usually recommend it, but too many people were updating today so I wanted to stick with what everyone should be willing to do!
Ive already got the stock fw hosted from my account if that helps.
Was one of the first things I did after release. Check the firmware thread in my sig for that Plus more!

Thanks!
