I'm on Boost and did the ICS OTA as well. Lost mms partially. It does rarely work, maybe 10% of the time. Any ideas?
Dial ##data#, click edit, enter msl, click others, click mmsc url, and change it to mm.myboostmobile.com
If you dont know your msl code, search around a bit.. Theres a tutorial on here somewhere that explains how to get it usong alogcat.
Just a thought.

Ok guys download and install the anycut app on your phone, Not sure if you can still find it on Google play if not ive attached it here. Once installed Open it and select New shortcut, Activity then look for APNs. Select APNs and click OK. This will create a shortcut to your APNs on your homescreen. Open the APNs shortcut you just created and click on Sprint. Scroll down MMSC and make sure it says the mm.myboostmobile.com. Now select MMS proxy and delete the number that are in there. press your menu key and select Save. Now press your home key and maybe restart your phone (not sure if restart is required). You can choose to keep or delete the APNs shortcut when finished.

i noticed this as well when i took the update. not sure what caused it, but yes, a little irritating. i would suggest flashing a rooted deodexed ROM and then odexing your framework again (as it is stock) using my method in the dev section. send me a PM if you need any help
I will pm you later. Rooting part I have no problem doing. Now framework is new to me. Thank you

It won't give you a toggle in notification bar but try settings > data usage > settings key > check auto sync data.

Disable SMS to MMS Conversion
This modification disables the incredibly annoying "feature" that Samsung chooses to add to its messaging app, where any SMS message of a sensible length (ie. longer than 3 SMS messages) will be converted into an MMS message.
A brilliant idea for those who pay for each message they send, as 3xSMS is about the cost of an MMS, which can carry much more text. Unfortunately for Samsung, they're a few years too late here - most people don't pay for their SMSs individually any more. And they likely would need to pay to send an MMS.
Enter this modification, which lets you send long messages again without issue.
Attached is the LEGACY version of this plugin for Xposed API 2.0 RC2. DO NOT USE THIS VERSION. Use the up-to-date one in the download manager.

disable sms to mms conversion
Thanks all for help so far.
The Creation mode doesn't seem to make a difference. Reason I want it disabled is because my company don't allow MMS, so long SMS just change to MMS and fail to send! I was wondering why this guy hadn't replied to my text........
I have tried the Application, and it appears to install but makes not difference. Reading more it looks like I need to use that general Tweaking app, and that you need Root?
Please confirm, because I cannot root my phone as I need to use Good, and my company have Good set to not run on Rooted devices.
I'm really not bothered about having to use another app, as I already use Whatapp wherever I can to keep my SMS (which I have to get billed by text for) down, so would prefer not to have two seperate 'Text' apps, further to the core Android one, which I am generally pleased with?
Solutions appreciated... or, is there an app that brings all Whatapps, texts and Emails into one 'stream' that you can disable SMS to MMS on?
XDA rules...
The app needs xposed framework to run. You have to be rooted to install xposed but once installed and activated you can unroot again. I don't know of any way to disable the mms conversion without rooting first

I'm a little late on here, kind of a noob when it comes to this as well, but anyways so i've installed xposed installer and got a couple modules to download, install and work properly but when i try this one, i get "Parse error". Any ideas? I absolutely HATE that Samsung has this limit!
You can use wannam xposed from the play store, it has this option in it. Sounds like a bad download though

Are there any messaging apps via playstore or otherwise that resemble the JB AOSP messaging app and/or functionality? I really like the ability to not only reply via the status bar, but also the ability to select "read" so I don't have to open the messaging app for a message I don't intend to reply to.
Also, I really hate the fact that the stock messaging app only says "new message" in the status bar without any information about the message or the sender. Really crappy design. Any help there also?
Thanks!

You could download one of the stock apk's I think.
Also the stock app does show the sender name and the message in the notification Window. Check settings and make sure that it's enabled.

Try go sms? Has a pop up window and you can set the notification bar so you can see the message. It can even unlock your phone when a text message comes, if you set it up.

Stock apk. as in, stock Android? Would that work with TW?
And thanks for pointing that out also. Odd that message preview wouldn't be automatically applied.

So, I just bought a unlocked Verizon Xperia Play but I want to move it to CricKet. I asked cricket if there network would work well with Xperia Play and they said yes but Data might not work. Anyone have a R800x with cricket? As far as I know it should work since R800x works with EV-DO and CdmaONE which is also the same network as cricket. Some help please?

Can we bypass Sprints Proxy locations by editing these files.
/data/data/com.sec.sprextension/files/mmhttppd.prop
/data/data/0/com.sec.sprextension/files/mmhttppd.prop
/data/data/com.sec.sprextension/files/mmrtsp.prop
/data/data/0/com.sec.sprextension/files/mmrtsp.prop
I'm not sure if you can by editing those files but with your MSL number you could just replace the strings with 0 (for ports) and 0.0.0.0 (for IP addresses / URLs)

I actually figured it out.
thanks to your observation.
I used SQlite editor, and went into Phone Info apk
then in: t_systemproperty find the same proxy addresses and ports.
then change to the respective values as we used to before.
I put 0.0.0.0 for the proxies, and <Not set> for the ports
Sweet, I'm going to do that right away. Thanks

When streaming video it removes the proxy as a mediator... if the bandwidth is there it increases and smooths out the data throughput. ..

Has anyone confirmed this is working? When I first jumped to MM I edited the MMSC settings and had problems sending Multimedia Messages when I was connected to any Wifi,. This included group texts as well as receiving those types of messages. I'm not too good at using SQlite and doing all this on my own, so if someone can confirm and help explain how to do it I would Appreciate it. Don't forget to do a Backup!

Guys, I'm using N910P with a GSM SIM outside of US.
I've enabled hotspot through various "hacks" present here on XDA, but when I try to connect my PC through my phone, the PC gets stuck at "Obtaining IP Address".
In my opinion, there's something in stock MM ROM that looks for some Sprint IPs (I may be wrong). So, will editing lines in above mentioned post work for me too?
