TEAM DIRTs code name android 3.3.1 has been the best jb ROM I've run. As far as ICS goes TEAM DIRTs RemICS-UX is my favorite.

Hi everyone, just a simple question. I am looking for the best overall ICS rom for the T989 right now. Is it worth flashing now or should I wait for Jelly Bean rom or any other rom? Thanks for the help everyone.

I'm using Darkside Evolution 3 v7 ICS rom and it works flawlessly. Best ICS rom I've ever used.

So far Aokp is my DD right now I like to the stock feeling of ICS and not touchwiz

Ah dissenting opinions! So there is no de facto rom?
That's like asking what the best car is. Its subjective.

Let the flashing begin...
Personally, I've stuck with Darkside Evolution 3 (v7) since its release. Although it looks very stock, it's very stable with an amazing kernel and battery life.
AOKP and cm9 are amazing (I'll be flashing cm9 again once we get our release candidate).
AOKP feels like cm based ROM with a little more to offer but with that being said, neither feel as stable as a stock based ROM for our phones at the present time.
You'll always get a biased opinion so I'd suggest flashing some of the more popular roms by checking each thread and good luck buddy!

I've been wondering the same. Reading through the forums, I determined Darkside Evolution 3 (v7) was the most popular. It took a few flashes before I was able to get it working right on my phone, but it runs similar to stock. The only way you'll be able to tell if you like it is if you give it a try.
aokp..... more tweaks.... less bloats, stable, fast.

Try ParanoidAndroid, this ROM is awesome.

I'm gonna say AOKP. I've tried all of the aforementioned ROMs and I have settled on AOKP because of the amazing battery life, customization and the AOSP theme it comes with. AOKP has also become very stable as of recently, rivaling the stability of Darkside. I used to run Darkside when it first came out, but now I can't get over the very stock feel/look. If you enjoy the tweaking, I would suggest AOKP. If not, then go with Darkside. If you want something in the middle, go with CM.
+1 on AOKP and link is in the sig. Darkside is also a great ROM just depends on your preference of touchwiz or stock. Both are the top ROMs imo.
Either AOKP or anything DARKSIDE.

I find it funny anytime I see one of these threads and find it even funnier when I see how many people answer. Its probably easier to say what not to use....LOL
Lets be honest thousands of people use this forum and if only 20 actually answer this thread I am quite sure all of the dozen or so roms will be mentioned... This question is like mentioned earlier is subjective and no way can you find a definitive answer in here....
I hate stock but there are some advantages to it, I love CM9 but also enjoy some of the tweaks of AOKP... I just load them all up get them to how I like it and nandroid them all... Problem solved
OP good luck but instead of reading our crazy posts get to flashing
AOKP
I am on AOKP Milestone 6. Was gonna try Darkside, but liked aokp and dont see any reason to switch.
There are few things that will not work with AOKP.
1) WIFI calling
2) Audio out via the car dock.
If those are not issues, try it out.
I am still on Caulkin GB Rom, and it is starting to become unstable after 4 months. I decided this is the perfect time to jump ship to ICS.
I want to install a Vanilla ICS Rom, like the one on Galaxy Nexus. Dialer, calendar the whole nine yards. Is there such a thing? I am not too big into the themed roms that are here for download.
I have searched but the only thread I found was back from April and It said they couldn't do it because the source wasn't released yet. But now I know that not to be the truth anymore.
Thank you.

So far there isn't a vanilla ICS ROM. But there is a Vanilla JB ROM that's available for download. Keep in kind it still has some bugs but they're being worked on.

aokp or cm9 are pretty close to what you're looking for, if you want something like a stock nexus you're looking for an AOSP based rom, which those both are... also I know lickarock was working on compiling a pure vanilla AOSP rom, not sure where that stands, you may want to search for his thread in general about it.... lastly scarmon, what is this vanilla jb rom you speak of? I don't recall seeing anything in the dev section about it! My phone is currently wayyy to stable and well set up, its boring, I need to flash something stupid like a half working jb rom to fix that!
Edit: never mind scarmon, found the thread in general, too wet here to golf this weekend, looks like I found a project

I guess I'm the ICS representative. Jmzs CM9 nightlies, Team DIRTs RemICS-UX or ParanoidAndroid.

That 1 :good:
I love Energy Rom myself for stability purposes
There are so many opinions on the different Rom's that are available for the OG Evo 4g from Sprint. It is basically up to you in the long run, just depends what you like and how you react to different things. My personal opinion is to go with DigitalKarmas Jackpot Deluxe Edition, which is the ONLY, I repeat ONLY Rom that I have ran that is fast, stable, no force closes, and particularly crisp. I've tried every single Rom available for the Evo and I still to this day cannot get enough of DK's Rom. Like I said, everyone has totally different opinions on how they like and want their Rom to be, act, feel, look and run, so its solely based upon your liking. Hope I helped
Thank you for your input everyone I have a question.... what does rc1 and nightlies mean I know the roms go in order as release candidates and other names like that but what is the order they go in like would rc1 be the first update of the rom I thought nightlies was one of the first releases of the roms so I always stay away from those.... also I'm not running on the sprint network I'm on cricket I found the Droid gtr 1.6 Tom and its pretty smooth right now thank you guys I will try out some of your suggestions....

Hi all First off wanna say that I love the dinc2 forums and the community here is great! Now that the sucking up is done im just wondering is there a stock debloated 2.3.4 rom available for the dinc2? It may sound noobish asking but I know that you guys out there have much more time on these forums than I do. I have been rooted for about 6 months and have flashed all sorts of roms, but most have been ported and they all seem to have they own little issues. CM7.2 is my current go to rom because it is stable...but, i still have wifi and 3g issues of disconnecting and not wanting to connect for a while after that...its just frustrating. The only rom that was all around good with my wifi was my original 2.3.4 rom which i do not have anymore. I tried to search the threads but the search is currently down. Soooo...do you guys know of a stock 2.3.4 rooted (preferably debloated) rom out there that i can try? :fingers-crossed: Thanks in advance!
Search for andyBONESTOCK. Most stable by far. Or find Nitsuj17 and look for some of his older ROMs. GingerBangSense M has added tweaks.

Awesome, will definitely try them both! Thanks my friend!
You could also try skyraider zeus

All three above are really solid roms. UKB is almost perfect if you want ICS.

I actually was running UKB for the past week and it is phenomenal! I guess I just wanna revisit stock for a while. Its nice when everything works so well together
Thanks again guys! I download all 3 stock ROMs listed above and have andyBONESTOCK as my current ROM. Just one more question though, if i may. I flashed the white honey comb batt mod and it works great and all, but i would really like to have just a percentage mod without the circles. Is there another one that will work with this that you know of? Sorry for bothering you guys, I would love to ask on his thread but I cant because I don't have enough posts under my belt to post to a dev forum yet

I don't think there is. On gbs there is though, you can hide the batt icon and just have percentage.

There are also apps you can download to customize the icons.

Thanks for all your suggestions everybody! I'm good to go...for now anyway...until I feel like feeding my flashing habit again
Dear fellow Hercules users we all know there's a lot of good roms out there and a couple stable ones.
Well I'm a juggernaut rom fanatic as much flashing I do the jb roms arn't reliable and i keep going back to Juggernaut because of its stability and smoothness and jookdakang23 has posted this on the juggernaut rom thread
" I was thinking of maintaining and keeping it updated until official JB sources. I already got permission from whitehawkx. Just need to know how many ppl would use it
If You Guys Wanted An Updated And Maintained Version Of This Rom Vote Here! http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2036727"

Yea idk these people are crazy. Not only is JB stable enough to be a daily driver but if you really think it isn't, ICS is and has been for months now. I'll never go back to gingerbread.

Well I would love to see an update with that rom! And remember that its a tw rom so you have to do it with ICS. But why should I vote if you wanna make it or not! That is up to you to keep on.
