My version ONE X can not unlock bootloader , as I get root? - HTC One X

Hi all, I have the following drawback I have an Asian version of the htc one (tegra3 - endeavor) x firmware 2.17.751.2 that I can not unlock bootloader through htcdev. After reading all the threads about it concludes that I have to find a way to get root to perform some actions to leave if power supercid then unlock bootloader through htcdev. I would appreciate anyone who can tell me how to get root to perform this task. Thank you.

You can't do anything without unlocking the bootloader. What's going wrong?

It seems to me that this version should not have to release the bootloader support through htcdev. Root obteniedo thought somehow it might be supercid. I've seen some alternatives to root, as superboot and others saw MoDaCo but I have failed.

You can only unlock the bootloader using HTCDev, you're doing something wrong at your end

The process I have been successful step by step as the tutorials. Not much in that wrong because you just have to get the token and copy htcdev if I was down and I copied that error reports. Another important thing I forgot to mention is that I contact HTC support and they tell me at the moment to release did not support this model.

Looking at your example, the first line is correct as it matches the example.
All then rest looks 1 space too far forward, I can't remember how mine looked but the example shows a perfect square of text.

I corrected that space moved, was all square as they watched me, as usual. I reported the same error.

Maybe htcdev is on the brink, its been having network issues for a few weeks now.
Is this error a website based 404 'not found, error? (I can't see your images of the error )
Post your token into this thread, and ill try for you to see if i can get you your unlock code.bin file.

[11.27]s-off without a XTC——really works,update

1st,tks to eoghan2t7's work,I use the PG76DIAG.nbh with XTC clip way(not the steps eoghan2t7 gives).BTW, sorry for my poor english
someone successfully makes it s-off。but,he use a useless sim card with Two layer chips,he removed the one inside, leave the chip outside still there。
here are my steps
1,make a gold card
2,download and put PG76DIAG.nbh into the sdcard(gold card)
3,go into hboot, wait to scan and you will see this

just press Volume down
4,and then you will see
press power
press power again
5,
then you will see
6,go into hboot again to check if it is s-off now
sorry, the one who make it works uses the XTC gold card and replace the PG76DIAG.nbh with the one eoghan2t7 gives us,other copied the files from the card but not work. Now,I'm testing ghost of the XTC goldcard, hope it will work.
Checking it now thanks for the heads up

I think it's something like :
create GoldCard
put following file on the GoldCard (PG76DIAG.nbh) - http://dl.dbank.com/c0pmlgo4rr
boot to the HBOOT menu
choose clean S58 data
after it's finished, power off , unplug battery and start mobile again
check whether it's S-OFF now

not working for my wildfire S locked on Orange FR eiher. it's a pity.
Question: Are you trying this with your SIM card removed?
I removed my SIM card. I suppose you don't get errors then.
But there wasn't a message screen phone unlocked (and s-off?).
I think you only get that screen when the phone detects the xtc clip (and unlocks).
That's why this method isn't working.
I think the XTC clip is reading the IMEI from the phone, then using it with the file unlock.
I attached what is on my goldcard SD. Maybe this would be of help. (I did noticed that the last part of the file are different.) -Wrong information!! Sorry
Good luck!
After using a file compare program it seems both files are the same. I wish I knew what the XTC clip is doing, reading info from the phone or emulating something to the phone. I am going to research more.

[Official Unlocking Bootloader] HBOOT HTC Desire

HTC is committed to assisting customers in unlocking bootloaders for HTC Desire:
http://www.htcdev.com/ruu/PB9920000_Bravo_Froyo_hboot_1.03.0003_R.exe
http://www.htcdev.com/ruu/PB9940000_BravoC_S-RUU_Alltel_UTSI_001-27_hboot_1.09.exe
http://www.htcdev.com/ruu/PB9940000_BravoC_S-RUU_UTSI_028-47_hboot_1.09.exe
After this you must reboot in FastBoot Mode and type in Command Prompt: fastboot oem get_identifier_tokenSubmit
Then submit the token in order to receive your unlock code binary file...
When copying the token, start with this line:
<<<< Identifier Token Start >>>>
And end with this line:
<<<<< Identifier Token End >>>>>
The difference with the official way is that you only unlock the bootloader. You don't get S-OFF so you can't make changes 'on the fly' with Android running, you'd need to do changes with the phone in HBOOT/fastboot mode.
Hi,
thanks man. I'll have a good play with this later today.

the official way of unlocking bootloader. a bit more restrictive than true s-off (cant flash radio)
theres a thread with a little discussion about it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431726
FYI.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=662710
Rom Development - only meant for very advanced technical discussion directly related to ROM development activity and the delivery of actual ROMs and ROM components ONLY. Nothing else goes in here.
If you have developed a ROM, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing. If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?

it's what I was thinking, what's the point of unlocking it with this.. and if you do that I bet you won't be able to flash an alpharev hboot since you can't roll back hboot version, and running revolutionary won't work since it's different hboot version.
That's my hypothesis on this anyway.
Yup. Correct. Unless you flash a hexedited version of this hboot, which has the version downgraded. Any guineapigs? It's useless, unless you plan to retain HTC's stock recovery to flash custom roms. Which again is useless..

Including me.. There's no way to be completely sure that the hexedited portion is the correct bit which decides the version. I flashed a hexedited hboot onto my device, and it did downgrade the version number displayed on the hboot screen, but that does not mean the version lock happens there.
But for fun, you can change the bit that says Alpharev/Revolutionary to whatever you like.

For One V no S-OFF exploit has been made till now, so if you haven't got one s-off by factory default phone (which is quite unlikeley) you cannot do that.

Htc one sv - question

Hi I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I bought the above phone and when I turn it on it seems to be some sort of development phone , and when I look at things like software information it says protected next to it. What I was wondering is will I be able to update this phone normally as and when software is available or will I have any sorts of problems or restrictions with it?
Thanks in advance.
Its possible it's been rooted and s-off, it's best to look in your app drawer and look for a app called "su" or turn off phone the hold vol down and power at the same time. You will go into boot loader, at the top if it say "s-off" then it's rooted and no way to do official updates but that's ok rooted /custom roms are better

Yes it means it didnt go through HTC Dev Unlock,(phone is still factory unlocked) and you have engineer Hboot(s-off) also you are SUPERCID, either a stock rom got flashed and removed "SU" or it could be called "superuser" check if you have that

Well the previous owner never did HTC Unlock, cause it would say "relocked" if he did a relock on the phone
Definitely no super user or su
So I should be unlocked for any network .
Does it matter if the boot loader is locked?
When I look at things like software version or processor etc it says protected , do you know why?
Also are there any Roms for this phone already do you know.

no that is Sim Unlock, SUPERCID and S-off means you are region free from the phone(superCID), and you have Fastboot capabilites(s-OFF)
i dont know if there is Roms for your phone, best choice is to google SV or do a search in here, if there is no SU or Superuser app next check if you have a custom recovery if you do then it will be very simple for you to flash a rom on to your phone, if you dont then there is some steps you need to do before you can do so
--------------------------edit-------------------
this is throwing me off a little bit, there is no real forums for the One SV, and i only found one root method, to even have s-off with a locked bootloader is weird, you may actually have a Developer Phone,

actually go here and post your pic to let others know, if your phone is a dev this is a golden egg, dont follow the root instructions, just let them know what you have the.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113671
Most probably a dev phone. I thought at first that it could a test unit or an unreleased version but when I read mfg kernel my doubt was gone. Mfg allows even more stuff so there's still a chance you won't even need boot unlock even if it says otherwise. Keep in mind I'm just speculating.
A full backup of partitions could be handy for devs.

Its a test unit. One that has an eng hboot oddly enough. It does no good to achieve s-off but it does allow an eng hboot to be flashed once s-off is achieved. I have a surefire way to s-off the sv but can't get a tester

Mo Versi said on twitter that it'd be rolling out tomorrow (Thursday)
Paging Mr. @santod040. You've probably already know this but JIC. Looking forward to his firmware packages. :fingers-crossed:

I got the notification for an update, 1 of 2. About 86 mb, said it was firmware. Working on uploading now to Google drive. I'm on twrp so I can't install it and get the second one yet. I'll try to do so later at work

Looks like just flash the zip? The last line in the update script reads...
write_firmware_image("PACKAGE:firmware.zip", "zip");

I would usually flash the firmware.zip through fastboot.
Can it be done from my phone or need a pc.

That's what I'm wondering as well
I believe that you would have to be on a computer. Packages like this are made to be flashed through fastboot which requires a computer to do manually. Developers "repackage" them to make them flashable through rooted recoveries.

That's what I originally figured, I'm waiting on somebody to take the OTA to confirm whether it relocks the boot loader or not.

Also, You have to have stock recovery for the update to even work fyi.
I'm at work and will have time soon to flash this. Might have to revert to stock recovery though first. I'll get back to you, hopefully I can get the actual OTA downloaded and uploaded this evening.

yes. s-off can not go back to on unless you fastboot command it too.

this is true. but if the OTA package is installed the first thing it will do is replace hboot and recovery. (thats why sometimes you have to flash the ruu twice, first time will do hboot, recovery, firmware. second will be the rom) if you fastboot flash you dont need stock recovery. it will be installed regardless.
Nevertheless i would wait for Santod040 to do his work. if you flash now, the boot.img will make system non RW and you will loose root. the boot img needs to be modified or removed and its not as easy as unziping the firmware to remove it.

That would be awesome. I'm already unlocked boot loader and s-off , i thought it would b as simple as flashing stock 4.4.3 Rom and recovery, then taking OTA. And then flashing twrp and supersu , I thought for sure I was right about that, but there are many here who r far more experienced than me here, so please share your findings, it'll b MUCH appreciated!
