So I am running Phantom Blazer and I have to say I am pretty pleased, but is there a way I can get the battery notification from the Blue Kuban rom on to the rom I am currently running?

That requires adding a bunch of code to systemui.apk it is not something that can easily be added to a ROM

Hey all, I need assistance. I'm currently using cm9 beta and the battery life is horrid. I'm also using the Nyan kernel.
Anyone know of a rom/kernel combo that has long battery life and decent performance? Touchwiz or not?

It comes with Shadow so you should be all set. Or you could try Samurai if you like. Lots of people have great success with both.

Most have issues with wakelocks when they try to use their phone the way they want on any ICS ROM. Enjoy everything working and no greens in the super battery sipping The People's ROM. 4 Hours display time with 30% battery left on stock battery....hell yeah! One user reported 50 hours with over 30% left. If your phone prefers Samurai kernels you can always switch from Shadowkernel.

Because I tried all the ICS combos and you can't beat TW for battery life...period! Try The People's ROM for 2 days. I bet you will admit you get close to 50% more battery life. I have 4 emails syncing, LED notifications on, sounds on..all that I want without getting wakelocks up the wazoo.

A process that prevents the phone from entering deep sleep and causing faster battery drain.

Why does the battery drain faster when I have a notification at the top? Does it have something to do with the leds blinking???

Yes the led blinking keeps the phone from deep sleeping its causing a wakelock. This is why they added the feature to turn off the low battery led because it would endlessly drain it to zero. So yes this is causing the battery drain.
Does that feature exist on touchwiz roms?

or they just used the same screen from the GNex so the picture would look more uniform. Why try and find the most complicated answer?

Probably. I haven't ran cm10 in awhile but if the updates re-write system files then most likely that mod will be erased each time.

So I'm pretty darn happy with my note. What I don't like is that I can't do quick replies with texts (in the status drop down) like I could using the AOKP rom on my Epic 4G touch.

Flash jellybomb rom. It has the pop up feature for texts
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
You can hit menu, add text, hit "text templates" and select a quick reply. I think they can be edited in settings somewhere.
Not as easy as a dropdown, but at least it's there.
Edit: or did you already know about that and were just noting that it takes a few steps to get there...if so, sorry.
I just use handcent.
