Noober help please..rooting using Utility v0.9.6 - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Rooting kf for the first time using “Kindle Fire Utility v0.9.6”.
In the instruction from NatMil it says:
“***NOTICE
there seems to be an issue with the kindle fire utility not installing the superuser app which will finish giving you root. So what you can do to remedy this is once you have the twrp recovery, you can flash this stock rooted version of 6.3 (THIS WILL WIPE ALL UR DATA)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1569298
OR you can just download this superuser.apk, and sideload it onto your kindle fire (I have a video for sideloading if you dont know how, your data will NOT be wiped)
http://uploading.com/files/2f495fa7/Superuser.apk/”
Here’s my total noob question:
When do I sideload the superuser.apk. Once my kf boots to TWRP???
Thanks,
Marty

Getting to TWRP screen when rooting Kindle Fire..

Hi.
When I root my Kindle fire , using youtube tutorials I get to a TWRP screen on my Kindle.
Not as shown as in the videos..
Anyone knows why and how to fix this?
When I run the KFU and press 2, it loads everything and success and then it says please wait....
I look on my Kindle and its on the TWRP..
Select reboot then system if prompted...
Connect your KF to computer and run Kindle Fire Utility. Then try to change bootmode to 4000.
Or turn off device, connect to computer, set command in Kindle Fire Utility ( change bootmode to 4000) and
turn on device. It should works.

It is already on Online and 4000. o.o
How can I know if my Kindle is rooted?
The easiest and least technical way would be to side-load a "for root only" apk to see if it works. (hint: you won't find one at the Amazon app store)
same here

[Q] Kindle Fire Utility - TWRP

Folks,
I am trying to root my first gen Kindle Fire using the Kindle Fire Utility. One of the Options "5" is to install the latest TWRP 2.3.1.1. I have read about Wipe problems with this. How can I ensure that the KFU will install the older TWRP 2.2.1.1. Is it easily done by just copying the TWRP 2.2.1.1 file to the recovery folder within the KFU folder?
Thanks!
KFU actually tells you which version it`s installing last time I checked it was still downloading the older version. You can check it by dry running the program without the kindle plugged in read what it says in the terminal.

Actually, last time I checked KFU couldn't download TWRP. But maybe that's fixed.

Thanks for the replies folks .. I copied TWRP 2.2.2.1 in the "recovery" folder and the KFU checked for existing TWRP in the recovery folder and it installed it.
Thanks!

[Q] My kindle Fire is bricked but still response to Kindle Fire Itility

I recently rooted my kindle fire with kindle utility v9.6.0 and installed twrp and everything. It wasn't really responsive so I tried tp revert back to stock software. I folled some tutorials were they downloaded the ZIP file of the update directly from amazon and dragged it into the kinde then booted from TWRP wiped cache davlik and rom then installed the ZIP. I folled these tutorial step by step and I reboot the kindle but it got stuck on the original kindle fire logo. I can't access the files on it, I uninstalled the adb drivers and installed amazon drivers and then it sowed up on the kindle fire utility. I tried rooting it again with fff and superuser and TWRP and it says complete the device has been told to boot in fast mode it always just stays on the logo screen. this is a first gen kindle fire. Please Help me I really want to get this thing up and running again.

How to root kindle fire with fire utility 0.99?

I am new to rooting and just followed a thread describing how to root a Kindle fire, 1st generation as described here with Kindle Fire Utility 0.99 on a Kindle Fire 6.3.2. Now the kindle fire shows on reboot a TWRP screen with buttons like 'Install', 'Backup', 'Restore' etc.
But now what? Is the kindle rooted? I seem to be unable to do something now with the kindle. What now to do? What are the next steps? Is something missing? Is there a misunderstanding?
For any suggestion, help, guidance I will be very helpful.
After the utility installs twrp you're suppose to flash the FFF boot loader, then flash a ROM. Im assuming you did not place those files onto the kindle prior to flashing.
In any case you fan just use the mount feature and connect it to your PC. From there put the relevant files into the internal SD.

[Q] Help

So I am in a bind.
I had TWRP and N2K type utiltiy that was working. i tried to wipe and reset and here is where i am now.
so i have a first generation kindle fire. i load TWRP and get to recovery boot which brings me to team win. TWRP is version 2.6.3.0.
I do not have access to the kindle drivers. so the only thing i can do is access it though mount.
so i mounted the device and added the most recent update (changing it to update.zip) but its not working. it still starts with the blue kindle fire setting and only in TWRP. i cant recover it to normal. when i go into the device i only have 2 folder. TWRP and .android_secure.
i just want to know how to get back to factory settings. I tried using a kindle boot device but it wont recognized the kindle because it is only recognizing it as a usb drive.
any ideas? not sure what other information you need to help. please help - thanks!
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.
