Just curious to see what boot animation is everyone using. Here is mine

OK, I don't claim full credit for this. Most of the credit goes to AuctionedLlama over at ModMyGphone. He found the basic splash online and edited it to have the AT&T logo instead of T-Mobile. All I did was change all of the logos from grayscale over to full color and I made a version for Fido after another request at ModMyGphone. If you have requests for other changes/carriers or whatnot just let me know and I'll try to get a custom version for you as soon as I can. Hope you like them!
PS: I attached both my versions as well as the original version from AuctionedLlama just in case you like the grayscale logos.
EDIT: Well it seems some people don't like AT&T so here my the T-Mo version in color as well.
get rid of the ATnT logo and we'll be good. Change it to tmobile or just none at all.

Done, had to edit some of the dots on the edge due to space restrictions but it's there. I'm not gunna put a ton of work into it because I won't use it but here it is.

Hey I was just wondering if this was just me..but when i boot up the phone on the boot up animation as the colors are doing they're thing, it looks like the screen is a bit pixelated or as if it has oily blotches on the screen. I was wondering if that's normal with the phone or if like i should get it replaced. and than also with that..this is my second phone already..i exchanged my first one cause the usb connector wasnt working, would verizon exchange this one with no problem also?

Hated to bump an old thread, but it seemed to be the closest hit.
Just got my GNex from Google Play today. When I turned on the phone for the first time, the animation discussed here appeared to be absolutely vivid and stunning - HD quality. It was quite impressive indeed.
However, after accepting the system update nag it appears grainy and closer to SD quality following the update. It's now feeding my paranoia about everything else I look at.
Other than that, I don't see any other screen issues other than the blue tinge when viewing from indirect angles.
Not sure what all the update did. Looks like I am running Android Version 4.04 and kernel version 3.0.8-gda6252b

Not rooted, but possibly heading in that direction. Just getting acquainted for now and making sure I don't need to send it back before I get too intimate with it.

Here's my story. I finally worked up the courage to root my HTC EVO V 4G (which I got last November) a few months ago, and I kicked myself for not doing it sooner. I **LOVE** being rooted. I tried out 3 or 4 different ROMs in the first week, finally settling on MidnightRom. Just yesterday, I got everything tweaked out into oblivion, just to my liking. I changed the boot animation to some cool Nexus-Windows Phone hybrid I found online, but I did it manually (i. e. going into /system/customize/resources and manually renaming MY cool animation to HTC_bootanimation.zip or whatever. Here's a tip: DON'T EVER EVER EVER DO THIS! Why, you ask? Because you're stuck looking at your totally cool boot animation forever. I booted into 4ext, thinking clearing my cache and dalvik would do the trick. Nope! So, I screamed a couple of times, and finally resigned myself to wiping and starting afresh. I had to reinstall everything, from scratch.
So, that's my cautionary tale. Please feel free to make fun of me, and please post your own cautionary tales. I'd like this, ideally, to be a place for all to share their stupid mistakes and careless errors freely.

Hey everyone, I am really new (like 4 days in) to this whole droid thing i've been an apple fan since day 1. I came across an old beat down droid 2 and began rooting and customizing and damn! It's been hella fun! Is that what the kids say? Anyways I have a laundry list of things I've done/want to do to my phone including changing the motorola boot logo. I have been decking my phone out in all metal gear stuff and I'd love to have a foxhound logo replace the standard motorola logo during boot. I successfully changed the animation that follows without a hitch but can not for the life of me figure this one out! I had seen some people on the internet having the same problem. I hate to be the guy to ask for something without contributing, on his first post at that, but can anyone please help me out with this one? I am on a rooted droid 2 running 2.3.4. Thanks in advance! Also i am running on a mac laptop so its kinda hard for me to plug n play with my droid.
