I modded Smoking1337 CWM-flash file to run from Windows.
All credit goes to Smoking1337 for this - I only modding the install of it
See here for original website:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1584508
He also has a snapdragon version of this for those interested:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798765
Additional Requirement:
You need to have Init.d!!
See my init.d section in Android Development
One more comment: This is not build for overclocking - mainly built for underclocking to save battery life
Features:
Change CPU Governor
Change CPU Min/Max Frequencies
Apply Settings on Boot - Sticky Mode
Set Dual Core CPU's Independently - Governor and Frequencies
Force Dual Core - Second Core Online ALL The Time
Seperate Menus For Single and Dual Core Devices - Auto Selects
View Current Settings For Everything
Sticky Mode
OnDemand Profiling
Now uses config file to store values
Usage:
Open terminal
Type "su" without the quotes
Type "cpu" without the quotes
Make your selections
Notes:
An error appears sometimes when enabling or disabling force dual core, it's ok the settings still get applied.
Settings get applied immediately
Cores can be set independently, you can make the governors and frequencies different on each core. Could be a great battery saver by limiting the second cores resources.
Force Dual Core will make the second core stay online all the time
Some kernels do not have a available_scaling_freq so the available frequencies will not be displayed, look up the settings your kernel has either in your rom thread or kernel thread.
Sticky Mode will apply the settings you have made on reboot (requires init.d support- which most roms and most devices have)
OnDemand Profiling allows you to set profiles for ondemand governor, the settings possible are performance, performance and battery, and battery saver. Setting will only apply to ondemand govenor !! I will add more when i get some kernels for my one x.
This mod will depend on the successful working of INIT.D. init.d did not work for me.
Edit:
After Init.d working successfully, this also worked.

Follow steps 2 thru 6 in this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29713958
This will setup your pc with drivers and ADB to allow you to run .bat files from a Windows command prompt.
You have to unzip your file to get the .bat file.
After setup and unzip just double click .bat file where it was unpacked.

I must have ADB on my brain cuz when I read use terminal and run su then cpu I used windows(it was late @ night)
Luckily I use the android terminal for ubuntu on my Ion so when Windows terminal failed I figured It out. Might want to update the OP with 'use android terminal app'
Well I was able to set 2 different govs, core 0= performance core1= PowerSave
But when setting min/max freqs they seemed to be tied together. I can set both min & max but not different for the cores. I hope I am missing something. While the governors should help with better battery I want to limit core1 to 1ghz

I wish I could tell you for sure, but since I don't have a rooted device at this time I cannot use it. You can read the original forums posting and find out.
I'm gonna try this with both cores 1.5 ghz in performance mode. I wonder if it will make a difference at all in battery life. The cores should still only run when their needed. Just at full blast for a shorter period of time.

Version 7 of Cow ROM: Bionic Cow 2.
- For arco68
It's basically an update to Bionic Cow using latest firmware from Sammy - I8150DXLC1. Features:
1) The OC kernel has been rewrote. It should be more stable and graphic score improved.
2) Bionic Scorpion Optimization library. Using NEON instructions for faster memory operations. Learned from arco68 github for ICS.
3) CowPanel 2 - use this util to configure VSYnc on/off. For speed, use VSync off. For smooth, use VSync on + triple buffering. Read more here. You also may configure zRam option here. zRam is off by default. Read more here.
4) Many CPU governors: Default using OnDemandX for best battery; 80% left in 24 hours. Use "Performance" for benchmarking.
5) More RAM - 358Mb available, compare to 351Mb in stock ROM.
6) Using a super light Zeam Launcher. Thanks cloakt for permission to use.
7) Internal / external sd card swap, CRT screen off effect, Low Memory Killer Tweaked, OnDemandX tweaked, Custom Bootup animation and Larger SD Card cache, Voice Search, etc.
8) Based on arco68 GB kernel. Without which, none of this is possible.
Special thanks to arco68, tch9, andynroid and pinkyunki, Murny Umairah, Myrule Anarki, Santos San Martin and Mohd Fazrin Daud from SGW group.
*WARNING*: Don't use OC ROM unless you know what you are doing. The ROM will automatically reset to 1.4ghz - OnDemandX after reboot as a safety precaution. I only set to 1.8ghz OC for short time during Cheat Engine hacks, zip / unzip, benchmark, etc. I always reset back to max 1.4ghz for normal used. I strongly recommend you to set a temperature profile if CPU ever get above 50C you should lower max clock back to 1.4ghz.
So, here is the link:

Part 2: http://www.mediafire.com/?e368mc427y19611
Here is how to install the ROM:
1. Enable recovery.
2. Use 7zip, right click on xxxx.001, extract. It will create the zip file required for flashing. Copy this zip into your phone. (Don't extract xxx.002)
3. Boot into ClockWorkMod / RZRecovery, backup your current ROM using nandroid (just in case).
4. If you are upgrading from my previous ROM;
- BEFORE installing the ROM, Uninstall CowPanel: Setting, Application, Cowpanel, uninstall
- Wipe Dalvik-cache. All your settings and app will remained. Theme will changed though.
5. If you are installing from stock or from other custom ROM, best to wipe everything using CWM, including your USB and external sd card. Reinstall everything from fresh, don't restore anything from Titanium Backup or anything.
Google Map? Missing apk? Original theme? If you want to restore to stock theme, get all the apk here.
Report Problem: If you encounter FC or any problem, please provide logcat so I may trace it:
1. Connect phone to USB
2. adb logcat > log.txt
3. In your phone, reproduce the crash / FC / etc
4. Kill all adb process in your PC
5. Zip and send me the log.txt
Update Radio Firmware
I8150DXLC1 comes with an updated Radio firmware. This should improve voice call quality. Check if you need to update this, go to Check "Setting", "About phone", "Baseband version". If you already have I8150DXLC1 or newer you dont need this. If not, use Odin to flash this. This will only update the Radio firmware, nothing else will change. You can do this before or after install Bionic Cow 2 ROM.
1. Get Odin.
2. Get ancora.ops.
3. Get radio firmware.
4. Boot into "download mode". Connect phone to PC. Start Odin
5. Select OPS file = ancora.ops. Select One Package = radio firmware, check "One package", "Auto reboot", "Protect OPS".
6. Start and wait till it complete.

Thanks my friend!!
As now, i'm using your Bionic, Cow. Love the green-ish theme, seems smoothly smart!
A few things btw :
1. When booting up, there is still sound of the boot animation. How to disable it?
2. When locking the phone, the transition is somewhat like distortion-type, not like the scale-old-tv in your previous ROM. Is it supposed to be that way or my phone goes wrong?
3. The "3G icon" in status bar alternately goes from small to big and vice versa. Also is this meant to be as such? :/
Apart of those, it is indeed a GREAT and SUPERB ROM.

min speed ? ondemand or ondemandx ?
I must be dumb.
I download xxx.7z.001 and xxx.7z.002.
Right click on 001: extract here puts META-INF, data and system folders and the other files in the folders I am working in. If I right click and extract to GT-I8150-BIONIC it just puts those files in a folder. No sign of a flashable zip.
What am I doing wrong?
Bomoh, an user who doesn't have permission to post in Dev section yet, told me this solution and it's working. Thanks to him!

- CWM
- Someone who understands instructions below
Installation/Update instructions:
- Reboot to CWM recovery
- Do a nandroid if you're scared (recommended in case you have problem)
- Install zip from sdcard
- Reboot the phone
- If you see /sdcard/trickster directory with configuration files inside then this mod installed successfully
Usage:
By default Trickster color, some android property regarding UI smoothness and mobile data speed tweaks and screen state optimization are applied. If you want to change additional settings then either use the app or :
- Go to /sdcard/trickster directory, you'll see at most four following configuration files, depending on kernel features:
. color.conf: color related tweak
. general.conf: generic tweaks like zipalign, sqlite, and screenstate optimization
. kern_general.conf: generic kernel tweaks like CPU speed, governor, IO scheduler and readahead buffer
. kern_specific.conf: specific kernel features like sound control, WIFI power, fast charge... - Edit any above file to change the settings you want using app like ES Explorer, Root Explorer..., instructions included inside
- Settings are automatically applied when user saves any of these files
- Some changes require restarting your phone
- To check log to see if it works use "logcat|grep Trickster" from adb/terminal
Reinstall boot service, Reset settings, Removal instructions:
- If you install a new kernel that includes ramdisk (boot.img format like franco or leanKernel), you can either reinstall Trickster MOD, run "tricks install" from adb root shell or terminal, or apply this CWM zip from recovery.
- You can delete a configuration file, files, or entire /sdcard/trickster directory to reset to default settings for a file, files or all configuration respectively
- If you mess up and can't boot, say aggressive OC/UV , use this CWM zip to reset
- If you want to uninstall, use this CWM zip

Common sense by reading requirements say it should.
What does it do :
This scripts attemps to make your phone battery dures more time or your phone more responsive and smoother by modifiing some governor's parameters.
It will set CPU min freq at 268MHz and max at 1200MHz, the governor in the script name, BFQ scheduler and apply tweaked tunables for battery or performance.
Prerequies :
A custom kernel supporting the governor you want : HellBoy, Kiss or SuperSick
How to use :
First install SManager
Download the scripts and extract the zip somewhere in you sd card
Launch SManager, explore to the scripts, select the one you want, check "Is script", "Su", "Boot" (if you want)
In Arguments, write b or p within you want battery or performance optimisations
Click save
Click Run

V1.1.5
> Fixed maxfreq injuction
V1.1
> Added fast charge (if possible)
V1.0
- Possibility to change MIN and MAX freq
first free info:
not all kernels gives possibility of changes his own parameters, it means, if you don't see the difference, it's because kernel auto turns modded settages to default! (as what stock htc's kernel do)
this mod is absolutely working, i test it on twrp recovery until share!

i can't post a screen, but, you see frequency is changed, so, it's what mod do.. :silly:
why i have create this?
because daemons APP are not so good, are big, uses a lot of code lines to injuct some values.. my mod uses 9 lines til now..:good:

Sorry, but I don't understand.
What's the differences between this version to the old one (2.5)?

The other is a setting of the ondemand parameter.. this is for changing options.. my obiettive is to unify the most mods in one.. for ex:
Chose freqs
Chose governor
chose different setting of governor
Chose.undervolt
Chose scheduler
Etc etc etc
Sure, it's unusefull to.add all now.. kernels doesen't have those parameters..
the mod is simple.. whould you use the tegra3 at 1ghz max? You should use an app daemon (systen tuner etc etc) or use a simple script
Oc daemons use a lot of resources, and monitoryze the cpu.. my mod add the parameters at boot, and, nothin else.. so.. the same thing without an app witch could:
1) can give free reboots
2) increase the consiption
upgrade in first post
Thanks! I think I got it
So, How do I change those values my self?
(Max freq, voltages) Is there aroma menu inside
or have I got to use SysTuner?

Hi, I just flashed it.
Nice Aroma app
But where do i Control the
Voltage? I haven't seen it there.
add in later releases, UV is buggy for now.. has to be recompiled from devs
Hello, thank you for creating this. I want to ask about the USB Fast Charge. Currently I'm using KozmiK kernel which doesnt have USB Fast Charge feature. Is it possible to make the USB Fast Charge available with this mod? I already install the mod and notice that when you charge using USB, it stil shows USB. But I dont know if the USB Fast Charge is already applied or not. I cant charge with USB since the kernel have some issue when chargin with USB, the minimum frequency stays at 910 Mhz and cannot be lowered
R: [MOD][11-02]Change Settings of MODDED Kernel
Fast charge is a kernel features.. only kernel has it.. and it's impossible to add manually with recovery flash
If you turn on the fastcharge with this mod on a kernel witch doesent have it, it will not work.. the command of turning on will not find the sysfile, so, one istruction for nothing.. it doesent demage the phone
If you have issues with frequency, you should change kernel..
I'm on ncx, and it's bugghed too.. so.. it's normal.. source code is out for less time

LIGHTNING BLADE PROJECT
*Your warranty is now void.*
*I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead sd cards, corrupted partitions or any damage.*
*Please do some research before using this mod.*
*Its completely your decision to use this mod.*
*If you point finger at me for messing up your device,I will laugh at you.*
So if you decide to use this mod then lets talk about the requirements.
1. Moto G4plus/G4 (or SD 617 processor with the same clock frequency as this one)
2. ElementalX kernel manager (for now since i've not yet made this mod for kernel Adiutor, but soon)
3. kernel which allows tweaking (most of them do)
4. Some knowledge
5. Patience.
A CPU governor in Android controls how the CPU raises and lowers its frequency in response to the demands the user is placing on their device. Governors are especially important in smartphones and tablets because they have a large impact on the apparent fluidity of the interface and the battery life of the device over a charge. For more info and knowledge visit http://androidmodguide.blogspot.in/p/blog-page.html
So after reading the guide you'll know exactly what a governor does.So what does this mod do? It configures the governor to have optimal performance without a large impact on batterylife.
This mod only supports Interactive governor since its the best and most tweakable.
So how to make it work? its simple...
1. Download the file then first extract it.
2. Open the ElementalX kernel manager app
3. Under CPU section go to governor options.
4. There click on save and save the profile as "default"
5. Next go to your filemanager find ElementalX folder.
6. Paste the downloaded file in gov_profiles folder.
7. Open EX manager app again, under governor option click on load and select LightningBlade.
8. Click on apply on boot.
9. Enjoy.
what difference will you see? You'll see that the little cores and the big cores stay at minimum frequency most of the time which results in more juice
