It supposedly makes the rom smoother and manages ram better. Can tell you that there are several threads discussing whether or not it is worth it. My opinion is that it is not at this time. The rom and the phone compliment each other very well.

With 2gigs of ram, and an already efficient rom... It is hard to see how v6 is beneficial at this time. If you read zeppelins thread... V8 is under development and testing... Maybe that'll bring something beneficial... Time will tell...

Hmm, maybe someone with experience using this should benchmark it on a Modern ROM and let us know what the results are. I've seen people swear by it in the past, but have never seen much in the way of the results backing it up *Grin*.

V6 seemed to help on the OG epic.. I haven't attempted on this phone due to (as what is stated already) us having enough Ram to compensate. The OG epic was slightly lacking in that department lol
I use v6 on every ROM I run. When I first looked at the OOM settings on this phone they were so low nothing ever got killed until a few hours later. At first I thought v6 wouldn't make a difference like it did on my Evo because this phone has plenty of RAM but I feel like it did after running the script.

lol when I read the title post I was a little confused I was like wtf a car part for a phone?! Well it actually looks pretty good, BUT I will not test this myself until someone comes along with some information. Why don't you post in that thread and see if anyone knows.
I have used it. I found it actually made my phone lag more. Make sure to nandroid your current rom just in case.

I've used it before on my og evo 4g. Made it lag more until playing with the settings and setcpu then it was smooth and helped.
I recommend you take a look at Phakers thread on Placebo. He has many scripts made on/for our phone. Be warned though. There is a ton of info and random scripts for testing that you may be more confused after reading the long thread.
Currently running Jellybean Paranoid Android with placebo 2.0 and the "lite" script. But I just flashed new rom version and added the lite script so can't really comment now about this setup.

I used to run the v6 supercharger script on my old Huawei Ascend (yeesh!) and it's pretty good (in fact, I've still got it on my SD card lol). It's made more for slower phones though, from what I remember (please correct me if I'm wrong, anybody). I know it took away 90% of the launcher redraws on my Asscend. With our phone's gig of RAM though, I don't really see a use for it. Check out the thread for better info.

Figured I open this new fishing lure to vent out anything that needs to be said without judgement or complaining. So if you have something you need to get off your chest do, it here...
Don't matter the topic or subject, just take the 2 minutes it would take to type it out and bash someone that obviously owes you nothing and express it here. Don't mention Dev/Rom but have at it and keep it PG-13 as possible. Could be an app that has you busting your head open, a mod or tweak... doesn't matter.Bring it here. Either ICS or JB. Makes no difference. If you have a issue that maybe someone else can help you out on, and they actually do just be kind enough to atleast say thank you. So have bout it!!!!
I'm super pissed that people can't just stop complaining about things that work pretty flawless. People argue ICS is more stable than JB. I find this to be incorrect. If that were the case, I haven't had an SOD or RR since September 18th. ICS is just an outdated OS as far as a technical stand point.

Still one advantage to ICS and that's battery life. Slapped Darkside Evolution v8 back on the other day just for hahas and got a sweet 4 hours and 12 minutes of screen on time. I'm disappointed with the newest LiquidSmooth ROM release, the RC8. It has numerous bugs that need to be sorted out, the first post in the thread for it isn't very organized (yes yes, I know reading the post would lead to less bricks, but nonetheless) and the changelog hasn't been updated for weeks. RC7 was quite perfect as it was. The RC8 could have waited until a changelog was finalized, posted, the bugs were worked out a bit better and the OP was at hand to address the issues.
(On the good side, RC7 is my favourite ROM yet by far. I'm only disappointed because I'm holding liquid up to the highest standard)
Yes, I know; no names/devs. But can't be that ambiguous.

Great article man the truth for real!!!
The purpose of the link is to reiterate the fact that a) in the start of all of this, the originals did this for the rush of making something better than what was published. b) the steady request of donations. Truthfully, those guys never asked for a penny. But now everyone asks for donations. Lol!!! c) none of the software released by devs its official firmware. Its all mods, tweaks, build prop adds but nonetheless is all for testing purpose. So why in ****s sake does anyone complain. Instead of complaining, build or create something better. As the link included says, the originals learned code. They built from scratch.
Now that's no me saying I'm a Dev or a "kanger". I'm deff not but I do read. Is it not frustrating enough to read every single thread and pages upon pages of ppl steady saying g how bad **** is? Wtf, if you don't like it well don't freaking use it. Either way that's my some what of a rant

In reality ROMS donr set the precedence for battery life. User and kernel are the determing factors. So like stated find a Rom that works well and then start reading and learning what tweaks users are doing to elongate battery life. But by asking this question I feel I should ask why not leave your device on the stock rom?

Root it, Flash rom, Test drive to see what it's going to do for you. That's the only true way to determine. Yes, this will soon go to rest with the other threads started like it. YMMV on ANY ROM.. Stock or Not.
Flash, and try some of them! It depends on the usage! Also gotta give the ROM time to settle, and do battery cycles. The only way to find out is trying.

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum and new to smartphone enhancing. I'm currently running build 6 of AOKP 4.2.2 on my AT&T Note II along with Apex launcher; its been a killer combo for me so far. I would like to find a good kernel that will run nicely at 1800. I haven't been able to find many kernels compatible with AOKP however. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and I'm glad to be apart of the community.

But if you're dead set on trying it out I'm sure you can find something in the development section.

It's actually probably best to let this thread die, because as you said people are getting defensive or as you are claiming kernels are lagging. Saber is an outstanding kernel and I had zero lag and ptmr3 is a great dev and constantly improving his work.
I love PBJ too and actually tend to use it when I'm on a custom kernel maybe partially from nostalgia of the charge. Having said that I find stock is the best for me and I get zero lag.
Here's why, kernels are a funny thing what is great for your phone may be not so great on my phone. I have an example above, but another is trinity kernel bootloops me every time and I can't use it, but many users seat by it. So I believe you that you had you tube lag on Saber and I believe the other guy that he had none. Either way this thread is going to spiral into bashing the work a dev donated to the community very quickly, so it's best to just let it die.
