Apps to lock other apps: Keep Prying eyes out - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have always used Seal, it's worked out well for me in the past. But it doesn't seem to work on Jelly Bean. Do you guys use any other apps?

Smart app protector from play works well for me.

Almost two hours and only two small dislikes

Neither matter that much so I am still very happy. I see what the deal is with the resolution. Most things are huge. It has advantages and disadvantages. But once I adjust to it I think it will be better. I am already starting to get used to the phone. The other was no leather case. I always get a leather case and they don't have one. It would not fit in the Epic case so I had to get an evo case. But these are VERY minor details and I am in love with the phone.

thanks for the heads up.
Hey, does anyone know how to change the apps that are in the bottom tray? The phone, people and messaging apps to whatever we want?

Nevermind figured it out. You gotta go to all applications first and edit from there in case anyone is wondering.
go into the app drawer hit menu and edit and then drag the ones on the dock off and add the ones you want.
a stock music widget would be nice like the 10.1 tab, but ill live without it.. Excellent phone! kills the 3D in all aspects!
I just ordered this one... looks pretty nice and there are a few different options.

when I used to use a case, I bought one from these guys - like the coach of phone cases - http://www.pielframa.com/menu_smartphone_cases.htm
After 24 hours with the phone, my only complaint is that the speaker muffles I bit when on a flat surface. The NS4G had this issue too... The original Epic 4G's curve kept this from happening much better.
I'm so much in love with this phone it's ridiculous. Have any of you rooted it yet?
since having the phone, someone while d'l over 70 apps to it using appbrain, the phone got stuck in making/answering calls in speakerphone mode. after a reset, that went away.
also while charging on a non-samsung cable/wall charger, the phone somehow got put into 'dock mode'? it looks just like the lockscreen yet with up to 8 app buttons on the bottom... even after unplugging the phone, the phone stayed in dock mode. my home button took me to the homescreen but a double press took me back to dock mode. it was weird. again a reset got me back to normal.
no other issues so far. i just wished there was a battery percentage shown somewhere. it only shows up while charging on the lockscreen.
also, are there ways to make widgets 'larger' or are they just stuck being 4x2 or 4x1? i thought i saw something about touchwiz customizing the widget sizes during a youtube video. having no music widget kinda sucks, but oh well. i'd just like my email to be a full screen widget.

Once the device is rooted we should be able to use LCD Density app to make items on the screen smaller. I'm using it on my Galaxy S and it work's pretty well, it makes it looks like it has a native higher resolution.

Currently have it set at 220, default is 240... smaller values = increased density

Case Sensor mobile edition?

Hi all! I'm using the flip case for the galaxy s2 and was wondering if there is an app like Case Sensor for tablets that we can use for our phones. So essentially the app would recognize the state of the cover (whether its on or off) and turn the screen on or off depending on that. It's all about eye candy and showing off to the iOS users, right?

A quick search on the market brought this up: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rainy.autolock&feature=search_result
I don't have a flip case so I couldn't try it with a case but while simply covering/uncovering the proximity sensor with my finger it worked fine.
There's also PocketSensor which is a paid app, but has a free trial here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.phonephreak.pocketsensor_demo&feature=search_result
Hey thanks a lot!! =)

[Q] iControlPad and Galaxy Nexus | And a question about custom WIFI settings

Hi!
So I've spent alot of money buying gametel which works GREAT on an SGS2. My Galaxy Nexus however there is alot of problems with drivers etc not working properly. The main thing that annoyed me was that the VOLUME button is way too low on the GNexus, resulting in constant press from the gametel controller. When I attach my phone, the volume goes to 0. Wasted money...
Does anyone have any experience with the iControlPad and GNexus? Does it work great WITHOUT the volume button being affected?
-Kim

Edit: I also got another question regarding wifi. Is there ANY app out there that can simulate wifi? I'm using netflix with unblockus with its own DNS settings so that I can use it outside the US. I wish for an application that I can set the custom UnblockUS DNS adress.. Hope there's some answer for this.
Thanks
The iControlPad works great with the Galaxy Nexus. You will have to drill an additional hole in the universal clamp to make it fit though. The volume button doesn't get pressed on mine but I do use it with a TPU case on it.
thanks alot

Im getting my Gnex tomorrow and was looking for bluetooth controllers today and came across this and so glad i did. I was about to order the gametel from some UK store and would have regretted it big time.

Kind of warm out for gloves.
I found this out in March after receiving a pair of gloves from the missus for xmas 'designed for touch screen devices'
If a braver man then me wants to tell her, feel free!

There's a cheaper one thats a non-brand, and works as well. Just search for a bluetooth keyboard on Amazon. It's called the Vostrostone Aluminum Bluetooth Keyboard, but really, there are comparable ones that are about the same quality without the big brand name.
I have this keyboard and find it really good due to the spaced out keys. http://www.amazon.de/Cherry-JK-0600...VFOM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361754736&sr=8-1

Ok so here's my feedback after about a week or two of use.
- It's a solid keyboard case (not as good as the Zagg/Logitech cases I used to own when I had an iPad) but it's about 80% there in terms of build quality.
- the velcro holding the keyboard in place is a little on the flimsy side so a good knock could force the keyboard to disconnect, but it hasn't been a problem for me so far
- Using it in your lap on the couch can be a bit challenging as the tablet will sit at a pretty steep angle against the top of the keyboard and may fall backwards if you fidget too much. I was used to the hard keyboard lip in the case of the zaggfolio for the ipad which kept the ipad in place with significant fidgeting. Not a major issue though.
- Battery life on the keyboard is fine for 3 or so weeks if you use it every day for some typing
- the leather of the case feels a little cheap but again that's just me being picky
- Finally something very odd seems to have cropped up, and I'm correlating it to about the same time I started using the case. My gmail app will randomly crash (when I am in another app) and the tablet will freeze for 5 seconds and then give a popup window telling me that it crashed, I just click ok and carry on... but I don't remember ever having this issue before I got the case. I think it may somehow be correlated to the magnets in the case (to keep the little flap/clasp down when the tablet is being used) affecting the tablet somehow but I am not sure. I'll try to go a few days without it to see if it makes a difference but I'm getting quite used to it now!
All things begin said, this is definitely the best combo available for the Note 10.1 that I've found to date and I've scoured the internet for months.... I've also begged Zagg to make one but they aren't seeing enough interest to justify it yet.

That would be extremely unlikely. It's probably due to a syncing issue between your tablet and Google's servers.

hmm.... I only jumped to that conclusion because I never noticed the problem in any real frequency before getting the case... I cleared cache in the app settings and I'm still having the issue. I was hoping I wouldn't have to clear data because it took a lot of time setting up my corp email (we use gmail) folders and settings.... but I may have to try that if this persists.

I wouldn't. Data wipes are hardly ever necessary, with the exception of full-on bootloops.
Google "google sync errors" first. Does it happen when your BT is off?
good
So I haven't correlated it to BT being on or off but perhaps it is related to the BT because I only noticed it when I started using the keyboard or when it interferes with watching a video (usually when I'm on the treadmill using a BT headset).... so perhaps it is tied to BT being on... I'll use the tablet for a while tomorrow with BT being off to see if that makes a difference.
