This thread is dedicated for boot animation on Lulz/Tegrak kernel and should be compatible with any other custom kernels that support /system/media/sanim.zip
Please click on the file attachments below to download. I have also attached sample pictures.
Note:All the animated work are done by other developers, I just mod them and make sure they will work on your Lulz/Tegrak Kernel SGS 2

Do they work with stock roms? If not, how to adapt them? I really like the minimal blue one

The update files were meant for Lulz/Tegrak kernel so those files wouldn't work with stock rom. I also have yet to try those script on CWM as well.
The easiest path right now is to install the Lulz/Tegrak kernel via odin from this thread

Question, are you familiar with ADB? Odin? Rooting? Is your SGS2 still stock?
p.s i like the minimal blue one also
Coool! cheers!
Your boot animation package is also available with any other custom kernels that support /system/media/sanim.zip

You can also download the file unzip it copy the sanim.zip and overwrite the sanim, zip on your phone /system/media
You can use either ADB or root explorer to do this.

The boot animation itself actually will work with most phone but these has been packaged to work with sanim.zip boot animation.
You can check your /system/media see if you have boot animation.zip or sanim.zip and just extract my sanim.zip to replace the file.

Thanks for the cool boot animation, icing on the cake for checks rom! One small thing, I had the bios boot animation from the kitchen and replaced it with this new one, but when I switch the phone on it still plays the audio from the bios boot animation! does anyone know where the sound file is located in root explorer? Thanks

just delete this file :system/etc/PowerOn.wav
sorry for the dumb question, but is it needed to root the phone first? i mean before we change the boot animation? did it ask for root permission?

You need a rooted phone with a kernel that supports custom boot animations.
... uploaded a flashable zip
Really cool, flashed it directly! Big tjhx!!!
One piece of boot image to match the animation!
(the easiest way to change the boot image is through Hellcat's BootScreen Changer)
Updated the thread with two new animations...

Find the Nexus boot animation QMG files and replace in system/media or look for a Nexus styled boot animation zip . Try if they will work on SGS2 .
Alternative is to edit the QMG boot files if you can find a qmg editor
Alternative rip bootanimation qmg files from stock ICS rom and replace .

[q] Stock ICS bootsamsung.qmg?

Hi there!. I was wondering where can I find the original (if there is one) bootsamsung.qmg of ICS for SG2.
you mean this ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620835
Nope, I mean the Ice Cream Sandwich boot animation, like this but in bootsamsung.qmg format. My kernel does not support .zip, its not patched, so...
ICS boot animation inside a stock ICS rom rip it out .

Thanks JJEgan! but it happend what I was afraid, seems like they keep the original qmg and use the .zip to do the other animation.
Thanks for taking your time!.
Hello, I have a new GT-I9100 TIM branded and I want to remove the first TIM animation at boot time: is it the booatnimation.qmg file I have to replace? Or the "loop" one? Or what?
BTW: do you also know where those damned custom icons are??
Thank you!!!
