Is anyone else having problems with Latitude? Sometime in the past week, all my friends have disappeared. If I look at friends with stale locations, that also shows nothing. I uninstalled then reinstalled Maps and that didn't work.
Is anyone else having this problem?
i have a similar issue, one of my friends show, the other DOES NOT show, no matter how many times i send, and they accept friend invite.

By chance do you have more than one Android device you currently use? For some reason, I think my Xoom my be causing this. I disabled Latitude on my Xoom and that was when I started noticing the problem.
If you install maps 6.9.2 latitude will work. Google it and download / install

I don't use a lot of the apps that came preinstalled and am just curious of disabling them will "break" anything or have a negative impact on performance or battery for any reason. These are the apps I don't use/would like to disable:
Books
Email
Google+
Latitude
Messenger
Places
Videos
Talk
Just don't need em. All Verizon apps were disabled with no problems.

Why wouldn't it be? I keep Google Talk disabled because it was a huge source of battery drain for me in the past.
Just not sure about some of them like Google+, not sure how deep integration is. Also videos, not sure if that's tied to the market somehow

I disabled messenger (not the Google+ thing, the built-in sms app) without any ill effects. I read on here somewhere that your gallery will FC if you disable Google+.
I don't just disable them, I use root explorer to delete them for good. Deleted Google+ with no ill effects, and a ton of other stuff I will never use.

You'll just have to test them one by one. From my experience, disabling google+ can cause the gallery to crash.

Books, Talk and Email are surely fine.
Latitude and Places may mess with Maps but they're probably fine.
Google+ (and therefore Messenger), along with Videos may mess with Gallery.
Just take a few hours and disable them 1 by 1 and see if anything happens.
I removed google+ with no adverse affects on the gallery.
Ended up just removing the whole lot. No problems thus far. Places is tied to maps though so unfortunately that will stay. Does anyone else's maps just start running randomly in your recent tasks. GPS and location are both disabled.

I disabled many: clock, calculator, doc viewer, earth, news & weather, and voice dialer ... as I use alternative apps. Never tried disabling critical ones (e.g., G+). Every thing seems OK.
I faced a problem upon updating system from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2. BUT I'm not sure of the error in updating if it came from disabling stock apps or something else.

Yeah, I've stopped caring about it. I burn more battery trying to track it down then just letting it run (at that, I don't think its actually using any measurable amount of battery). Its obviously doing something worth-while if it keeps poppin up.
You guys mind if I use some of the info in this thread for the GN apk doc I started on?

Everything on the list minus places and latitude have been disabled for a couple days now with no issues whatsoever. Books enables itself with each reboot but I stopped caring and just left it up. Doesn't ever seem to run and I'm thinking it might be tied to the market in some weird way.

I have the same issue on stock 4.2.2 unrooted
but since 1 month or so.
Could this be because of Google settings?
Same issue here 4.2.2 sucks

dont think its 4.2.2.. tried rolling back the play services update and still getting the same issue..
I can confirm this is happening to me too, running AOKP JB-MR1 Build 5.
Same here. I think its more of a YouTube issue than a 4.2.2 issue. My tablet, which is on 4.1 does the same thing.
It's a bug in the latest youtube update.

I've got the same problem on both my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 10. It's really frustrating to have to select which YouTube account to log in with so often ...
I have note 2 official Jellybean 4.1.2 rooted with build XXDMB2. Suddenly it started working weird. I cant sign in to Google play, cant login to youtube, Gtalk, GMail, Google+ and google now. I dont know if google server is down or what! But it was working fibe couple of minutes ago. Tried to clear data of google play services but didnt work. Its showin network connection error. Its annoying. I m almost fed up now. I am uploading the screenshots, so you can get better idea. Please give me some solution. Thanks in advance.

Since the new google maps update to its new layout whenever I get a shared location in whatsapp and try to open it I get an error message saying that it can not find the coordinates, I remember some guy on reddit saying this same thing the day the maps update came out.
I am in Mexico and all of my friends I have asked have the same issue, seems like a long time for either google or whatsapp to fix this isn’t it? Anybody else having this issue? any way to fix this?
Same problem here

Can anyone say if they DO NOT have this issue with the new Google maps?

working in germany. maps 7.0.2 and whatsapp 2.11.23
Hey guys,
Same problem here! I have the problem with other apps too, so I think it's a Google maps thing.
[edit] I reinstalled Maps, it didn't work.

app MapsLauncher (RSB sistema) fix this problem!!!!
Well it worked, kind of cheap way to fix it because now I have to chose to apps before getting the location but at least it works.
Any idea what the issue is here?

Yeah, that works but is not really a solution.
I had the same problem. But i have just updated maps app with the version uploaded yesterday at google play and now it works ok.

same problem on Huawei Ascend G600 and SGS2
The uninstalling of the google maps update works on both terminals. the reason it is not working in the updated version is because Maps searches the coordinates separated by "space" (eg. "12.1234, 12.1234" instead of "12.1234,12.1234"). i am not sure why it does this but i hope they make this work in the next update.
All of the sudden Google Assistant is telling me "Sorry, I can't create reminders yet." I've used this feature in the past without an issue, and use it frequently too, but here lately it will not work. If I go into the Google app I can set a reminder no problem, so it's just the Assistant app ... and it's working fine for my wife on her Pixel 2. I have tried:
Clearing Google app cache and foreclosing
Uninstalling updates from Google App
Clearing Google app search data
Clearing all Google app data
Joining Google app beta and leaving the beta
Removing Google account and re-adding it
Joined the Android P beta and the problem persisted (left and am back on Oreo)
Factory reset - several times, both restoring a backup and starting new
Ensuring language is set to English (US)
I even installed Assistant on an old Note 3 I have laying around and I get the same thing! So, now I am wondering if there is an issue with my Google account seeing this is happening across multiple platforms and devices.
I am currently running Google app version 8.2.10.21.arm64 ... any suggestions/recommendations appreciated!

Odd. Mine works fine - stock, P Beta.
Yeah, I am most perplexed! I have tried everything I can think of with no luck [emoji852]️
Everything else work fine - set a timer, send a message, etc. it just refues to set a reminder!

Well, it started working again! Nothing updated but I did go through my Google account deleting all sort of history ... Not sure if that did it, but I'll take it [emoji16]

It was most bizarre! Kicked my butt all last night and suddenly it starts working. Really thinking it was something related to my Google account seeing it was across 2 devices and 3 Android versions.
