youtube always losing login sync - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

coming from a clean flash, i choose an email account to log into youtube. account is linked with youtube for a few minutes, but then requires to choose an address to link again.
havent restored apps or sys data using titanium yet either. only logged into google accounts. this has happened with almost every 4.2.2 rom ive tried.
any ideas?

I have the same issue on stock 4.2.2 unrooted
but since 1 month or so.

Could this be because of Google settings?

Same issue here 4.2.2 sucks

dont think its 4.2.2.. tried rolling back the play services update and still getting the same issue..

I can confirm this is happening to me too, running AOKP JB-MR1 Build 5.

Same here. I think its more of a YouTube issue than a 4.2.2 issue. My tablet, which is on 4.1 does the same thing.

It's a bug in the latest youtube update.

I've got the same problem on both my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 10. It's really frustrating to have to select which YouTube account to log in with so often ...

[Q] Gmail Sync Issues

Running CM9 and Franco kernel (tried many different nightlies) but my gmail won't sync automatically. It was working and then stopped. I have freshly installed CM9 and installed an older version of Franco kernel but still won't work. Is there anyone else experiencing this?

did you restore from TiBu?
yes but for the email I only restored the app and not the data
go into your accounts and sync and make sure the account is setup correctly to sync gmail.

That will work for messages waiting there but when I send myself a new message afterwards, again it won't show up.
(Just tried it again and same thing)
have you tried removing the account and readding it?
also, when it stopped working? did you flash the updated CM overtop of what you were already running?
I tried updating over and then a clean install. I'm going to do a clean install and not use Titanium at all this time. I though it might be a kernel or cm9 issue.
Having the same problem with my sprint gnex. Flip data off and then back on and it will sync right away. Have you ever noticed where you're using data and it suddenly stops working even though it says you have 3g still? Happens to me a lot. I use juice defender now to turn data off with the screen and on with the screen. It also turns data on every 15 minutes to check for email. Having that going on eliminated my Gmail sync issue since it is constantly resetting the data connection. Still sucks when data freezes in the middle of a video or a long Reddit news session.

What's really crazy is I restored my account from 2 weeks ago when sync was still working and guess what? Still won't work. Really frustrating!
I just had this same issue and these are the steps I did to fix it.
Turn google mail sync off and then back on
Closed all applications
Rebooted the device
Now email is coming in just fine on my Sam galaxy tab 2
Have you tried deleting data from the gmail app? Your mail is stored on the server, so you won't lose anything...
Same Problem
Having this same issue on my Sprint GNex now. I flashed the 4.2 Are You Jellin' mod last night and now Gmail won't auto sync. I restored apps from Titanium Backup. I've tried all the suggestions listed in this thread with no change. I'm also seeing a sync error message on the google account setting screen. Manual sync does work. Any ideas?
I seem to have figured out the problem, for me at least. I flashed a new ROM that included GApps then restored from Titanium Backup. I restored missing apps and system data. I had problems with most of the Google apps syncing and was receiving a sync error message. I tried reflashing the ROM and restoring again with the same result. I did a factory wipe and then restored just missing apps from Titanium Backup and select system data (my SMS/MMS) and everything works fine.
Both times Gmail was not included in the missing apps restore through Titanium and broke when I restored system data. It's been working for over 24 hours now. The other apps that weren't syncing properly are now working too (wallet, contacts, calendar)

[Q] Anyone else having issues signing into Google on a new/reset phone?

I just got this phone (GSM model).
When I had it on initially, going through the first setup, it would not log into Google using my Gmail account. I rebooted and opted to skip this step. Somehow, I got it set up with the Gmail account. I verified that the data connection worked (3G/4G and WiFi both worked fine). Phone prompted for update to Jelly Bean, so I did it.
Now I cannot sign into my Google account at all -- on my 3G/4G data connection or WiFi. Data connection all the way around still works fine, but I have my apps and contacts synced to my Gmail account.
All it does is, after I input my email address and password, it says:
Couldn't sign in -- there was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later.
Is anyone else experiencing issues connecting to Google's servers? I've also tried to clear the data and cache for the Play application, but wasn't sure if there was another application that I could clear out, or another workaround?
So you don't have any data/information on it right? Just try another hard reset. That couldn't hurt. Also try another Gmail account (If you have one), it might be only your account
Apparently that's all that I needed to do. I could have swore I did a hard reset already after the Jelly Bean upgrade...

Instant Upload Problem

All of the sudden I am not able to enable Instant Upload. It is set to off in Google+ and asks me to enable it under accounts and sync. It was happening with Ascent v3 and now I'm on Jelly Belly 4.0 and I am still not able to correct the problem. Has anyone seen this and have any input on how to fix it???

Did you install the app via a backup like Titanium Backup? I did the same thing and also ran into issues. I uninstalled it then reinstalled it via Market and all was fine after that.
Anything that links into Settings>Accounts seems to get a bit wonky if you restore it.
I always do a manual install of G+, GVoice, Facebook (Back when I used it), etc.
Also...

These Gapps are confirmed working with Picasa Sync.
They're what I use, personally. And I see no need to update to the 7/26 build I've seen posted...that and users reported Picasa being broken on that set again.

Notification: Unable to sign in to Google account

For the last 24 hrs I have been randomly getting this notification. All applications linked to my Google account are functioning properly. Is this a Google problem?
Stock rooted JB here. FWIW my Nexus 7 has been doing this also for the last 24 hrs. (leads me to believe it is a Google problem.
Annoying as hell getting this 5x a day. No specific app appears to be causing this under running applications.
Yup, I am getting that same notification at least once a day. All my Google accounts are updated and synced so I am stumped as well...

I'm not a Galaxy SIII user, but I got here by Google searching for the same problem on my Note II running rooted stock. It just started within the past 24 hours.
I'm guessing Google has some kind of issue right now that will get ironed out eventually.
Edit: I long-pressed the notification and checked the app info and it is coming from Google Account Manager.

Samsung account version 1.6.0010

I own the sm t217a. Since the samsung account update was forced on me. I have been experiencing sync issues with samsung account. I tried uninstalling my sammy account on it and reinstall. That back fired on me. Now calender and contacts in settings under account have disappeared. They do not show up. I know this tab got a recent android update. I froze it and did not take it. So, question is. Has samsung account sync been hosed now. Is this samungs way of spanking for rooting and freezing knox? Is any one in the same boat I am? I have tried all the usual clearing data and cache. Nothing works.. if the answer is choice of not using sammy apps or updrading? Then I will try to find alternative apps. Thanks for any insite.
