All of the sudden I am not able to enable Instant Upload. It is set to off in Google+ and asks me to enable it under accounts and sync. It was happening with Ascent v3 and now I'm on Jelly Belly 4.0 and I am still not able to correct the problem. Has anyone seen this and have any input on how to fix it???

Did you install the app via a backup like Titanium Backup? I did the same thing and also ran into issues. I uninstalled it then reinstalled it via Market and all was fine after that.
Anything that links into Settings>Accounts seems to get a bit wonky if you restore it.
I always do a manual install of G+, GVoice, Facebook (Back when I used it), etc.
Also...

These Gapps are confirmed working with Picasa Sync.
They're what I use, personally. And I see no need to update to the 7/26 build I've seen posted...that and users reported Picasa being broken on that set again.

Hi all,
I'm having an issue where i can't download anything from the market. It just stuck when starting download. I even left apps trying to download overnight - and still nothing.
I already cleared data from all the possible places: download manager, market, google apps, etc. Everything else works fine. I have access to the internet, gmail, gtalk, Gmaps. I killed a task killer, powered off a few times and all the same
I'm running stock, version 003.
What are my options? Please help.
I had that problem with my G1 on TMO, but it hasn't been an issue with my EVO and Sprint. It could be poor service. Have you tried it over WiFi?

What account did you set up for your google account? I had this problem when I first got my phone because I did not use a gmail account. I figured a google account was good enough.
It isn't.
I'd start with troubleshooting your default mail account on phone. Your gmail must be your default. And...lucky...if it isn't...you get to do a factory reset.
That is what I had to do. Lesson learned.
thanks guys, i think i fixed it.
I killed startup auditor and started google talk. Now all works fine. I never had GTalk running and never had any issues with the market. I guess i let gtalk eat my battery life from now on..... Unchecking autosign in doesn't help. It always shows in the running apps.
EDIT: OK, I fixed the problem. Let this be a lesson for people to remember to have a backup before doing some flashing. It appears that my Titanium backups of the default android apps were screwing things up for me. I fixed it by restoring to an older version, and only restoring my apps that I downloaded, and none of the google apps/data.
OK so I flashed the official Google stock image for 4.0.2 today on my phone. I then flashed the radio from my carrier (Virgin Mobile Canada) and rooted the phone. I restored all of my apps, and everything was working just fine for a while.
Now, when I go to use my phone however, the home button refuses to work. IT still lights up and plays the sound like it's supposed to, but nothing happens. I took a look at the logcat output, and there wasn't anything happening there when I pressed the button.
Also, the wifi and network signal icons are now greyed out as well and I have no idea why. It was working perfectly before.
Anyone else experience this issue and know of a fix? I'd hate to have to flash to my backup and start over again.
Silly question but have you tried pulling the battery>? If so maybe go in to CWM and fix permissions? Worth a try.
When the reception and Wifi/Data icons are greyed out this means that you are not connected to Google services. Check in Accounts and settings and see if Sync has been turned off or if there are any categories experiencing issues with Syncing. Mine was greyed out when I couldn't upload pictures to Google+ I disabled sync then re-enabled and that worked for me

Thanks, but unfortunately that didn't work for me. The home button still isn't working, and the icons are still grey. Though I can sync with Google services just fine.
Running CM9 and Franco kernel (tried many different nightlies) but my gmail won't sync automatically. It was working and then stopped. I have freshly installed CM9 and installed an older version of Franco kernel but still won't work. Is there anyone else experiencing this?

did you restore from TiBu?
yes but for the email I only restored the app and not the data
go into your accounts and sync and make sure the account is setup correctly to sync gmail.

That will work for messages waiting there but when I send myself a new message afterwards, again it won't show up.
(Just tried it again and same thing)
have you tried removing the account and readding it?
also, when it stopped working? did you flash the updated CM overtop of what you were already running?
I tried updating over and then a clean install. I'm going to do a clean install and not use Titanium at all this time. I though it might be a kernel or cm9 issue.
Having the same problem with my sprint gnex. Flip data off and then back on and it will sync right away. Have you ever noticed where you're using data and it suddenly stops working even though it says you have 3g still? Happens to me a lot. I use juice defender now to turn data off with the screen and on with the screen. It also turns data on every 15 minutes to check for email. Having that going on eliminated my Gmail sync issue since it is constantly resetting the data connection. Still sucks when data freezes in the middle of a video or a long Reddit news session.

What's really crazy is I restored my account from 2 weeks ago when sync was still working and guess what? Still won't work. Really frustrating!
I just had this same issue and these are the steps I did to fix it.
Turn google mail sync off and then back on
Closed all applications
Rebooted the device
Now email is coming in just fine on my Sam galaxy tab 2
Have you tried deleting data from the gmail app? Your mail is stored on the server, so you won't lose anything...
Same Problem
Having this same issue on my Sprint GNex now. I flashed the 4.2 Are You Jellin' mod last night and now Gmail won't auto sync. I restored apps from Titanium Backup. I've tried all the suggestions listed in this thread with no change. I'm also seeing a sync error message on the google account setting screen. Manual sync does work. Any ideas?
I seem to have figured out the problem, for me at least. I flashed a new ROM that included GApps then restored from Titanium Backup. I restored missing apps and system data. I had problems with most of the Google apps syncing and was receiving a sync error message. I tried reflashing the ROM and restoring again with the same result. I did a factory wipe and then restored just missing apps from Titanium Backup and select system data (my SMS/MMS) and everything works fine.
Both times Gmail was not included in the missing apps restore through Titanium and broke when I restored system data. It's been working for over 24 hours now. The other apps that weren't syncing properly are now working too (wallet, contacts, calendar)

Hi there,
Seems since updating to CM10 10/19 NIGHTLY I'm having a bit of a problem with Google+ and Avast!. Specifically, when I try to sign in to Google+, I get an error 'No Connection. Couldn't connect to the server.'.
Same thing with Avast!, where the error is "Could not connect to Google Cloud to Device Messaging (Phone_Registration_Error) Please make sure your Google account is set up correctly"
Of course, I can't seem to set up the Google account correctly since Google+ is not playing nicely.
Any ideas? Is this a known issue of any kind? Everything else web-related is working fine with either my home Wifi connection or my 4G data connection, just seems this (these) are the outliers.
Thanks!
[SOLVED: Though this isn't a 'hey, I fixed it without anything major' fix, ultimately updating to a new nightly and the updated GApps package has solved the problem. Couldn't tell you what broke it in the first place, and clean removing and reinstalling Google+ wasn't fixing the issue.]
having the same issue here with google+, on slimbean 2.8 (CM based) :/
[EDIT] Fixed. Only way was to delete the google account and re-add the account from the google+ app when prompted, you might want to try that.
Last few days (must be since the last update was rolled out on Nov 15) my gmail app doesn't sync back to gmail.com. I get updates from gmail.com (new emails, etc.) but nothing I do on my phone gets sent back to gmail.com. I also can't send any email from my gmail app either; they sit in the Outbox forever.
One of the improvements in the app is "Improved sync and outbox behavior"
Anyone else having this issue?
had this twice after restoring the app with titan i think. after deleting the gmail data it worked again.

You rock! That totally fixed it. I went into the Settings | Apps | Gmail and hit clear data. Gmail started loading up all the messages again and now sycning works properly.

My Phone is Galaxy S4:
On mobile network only my Gmail app was not syncing automatically, gmaps was slow, youtube was not working or really slow and Calendar wasn't syncing either.
After looking on the internet I was not able to find the solution. I have tried everything that was simple like clear cache, reboot, sync OFF/ON ...
Solution:
I tried the APN reset solution: Setting/more network/mobile network/Access point name/ reset to default. I did it and also I have found that google services had the check mark ON for restrict background data. Setting/data usage/google services
I have never touched this option before so I don't know why it was checked. After these two steps my phone works perfectly now.
I hope this could help someone..
Thank you
