Take the "N" out of the end. It should only be /wapenc
Edit: the full mmsc should be:
That should be the root of your issue.
sent from my T989 full of CM awesomeness and a touch of Venom from the Darkside!!

I tried that. the weird thing is I work at a cell phone place and configure apn's, but when i configure my phone it never works. can it be because cm9 or a radio issue ?

MMS FIX! - May resolve issues for some

Hi everyone,
Ive been testing the new ROMs for a while now and have flashe everything except for nprussells release from today. On all of them (with or without MMS fix) I found that MMS wouldnt work. Retesting MMS on most of the ROMs I've found that deleting all original APNs (as we normally do anyway) then adding 2 APNs as below resolves all MMS issues. I can now receive and send MMS without any additional apps, mods, etc.
To add 2 APNs: add one for data, call it whatever you want and add information ONLY for data access (no mmsc, etc) leave these as they are by default. Also leave APN type and authenication.
Then for the second APN add only the data server + MMS info. Again leave authentication blank. Then under APN type type mms.
Do not add any more info for data access and make sure that only the data APN can and is selected. Also ensure that there are no other APNs.
UK Network settings: http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
Hope this works!
ps I know that this has officially been resolved but I am sure Im still getting problems with not receiving some texts :s
I can't get MMS to work, could you expand a little more on your fix?
ie what exactly I would have to do ? (complete N00b here )

Hi,
Please provide more details on the problem - which ROM are you using and what have you done so far?
In detail you should download APN backup & restore from the market and use it to delete all APNs.
Then go to wireless settings, mobile network, access points.
Add two new APNs as described above - remember to save them both and set the data APN to active. Also make sure that mobile data is enabled. Then you may need to restart you phone although I didnt have to.
If you need specific settings then please let me know which network you are on and in which country so I can help you further
Could you help me aswell? i'm on vodafone UK currently using VillainROM 5.2
Thanks

I'm using villain 5.2 and I'm on o2 monthly
I tried the adb shell fix, but it couldn't find the carriers database to update. I then tried manually entering them in the mobile settings and it still doesn't work

According to the O2 forums, you can only use one APN, so all settings have to be put into one (I have tried setting up 2 different ones and that didn't work either)

Hi
I'm running 2.2 right now on a stock HTC sense ROM, my phone is rooted, with s on. I've tried running cyanogenmod 6 and 7 but cannot seem to get my mobile data to work, my WiFi works fine and I can receive calls aswell its his the internet, I would really love to run cyanogenmod, but need mobile internet, I've updated my radio to 33.55.00.32u_5.14.05.17 but still no internet.
Please help as I'm kinda new to this, thanks Joy

I had this problem with the mod. What I found to be the problem is the APN settings. If you go into the APN's and restore your carrier's APN settings (these can normally be found on their website) then after 10 minutes or so the mobile data should be restored. If not try rebooting. Thats what worked for me. But I cant provide your settings because I don't know what carrier you are on

Hi there,
Just a small correction I found.
"APN TYPE : INTERNET + MMS" should be "APN TYPE : DEFAULT,MMS". I found the setting at http://androidforums.com/hero-support-troubleshooting/45005-mobile-network-apn-settings.html
Also that thread set the following proxy, port:
Proxy: 74.49.0.18
Port: 80
Once I made these change, I finally got Telus LTE data working again.
Thanks!

You don't need to set the proxy and port. Getting rid of the proxy is only really a concern if you want to block (some) adverts.
I believe "Internet + MMS" is for a device original to Telus. "default, mms" or "default, mms, supl" is for devices not from Telus. That's been my experience, anyway.
YMMV
I never get disappointed with XDA this thread saved my behind

I don't use WiFi so that could be why. I'm away from my other apartment for the summer and I didn't feel like setting up an account with the cable company here for internet hence I use my phone as a hotspot and its always using LTE. That's odd, but j couldn't confirm it unless my wife uses her hotspot and I give it a go

no just stock messaging app. Getting another app from the store might work but I shouldn't have to do that for the phone to work.

I have the same phone, same default settings, t-mobile and the same exact problem. With Wifi enabled MMS will not work. Once I disable Wifi it works.
No, I don't want to use Hangouts or a third party app either, that is not a solution. I should be able to use the default messaging app and MMS at home with Wifi enabled. Please help.

I had the same problem. Changing the protocol to ip4/ip6 didn't help, but changing the default messaging app to hangouts worked; can send/receive mms even with wifi on now. Haven't tested google messenger or other sms apps yet though.

This seems to focus on T-Mobile Wifi-calling (and texting). The Zenfone 2 is an unlocked phone that does not have wifi calling. I have tried setting both of the parameters to Ipv4/ipv6 and it still does not work.
