And even if u had a lg8 tar for odin, u cannot flash the modem in there so youd still have to apply the modem in recovery

Why not use clark44's modem flasher tool?

Should we bounty up a [EL30]+[ROOT]+[CWM]+[ODIN]

We really need a single stock flash that pre-roots with CWM and the latest modem. Anyone know if this is being worked?... or if it ever will?
Doubt it its not hard to odin el30 and root it. Just more steps but elimnates what 2-3minutes top...
I'd do it myself but have no idea how to xD
Not sure a file dump would be sufficient

Can't happen at the moment (well the modem anways). They have not released a full tar for the modem yet... which is why we only have delta flashable modems...

It doesn't flash a modem... only a rom... the only way to get the el30 modem is to flash it in cwm... and to answer you fully, I consider it a rom... it doesn't contain a modem... odin the ec05 modem and then odin that rom... guess what, you're still on the ec05 modem... that's what I consider it...

EL30 Odin package sans modem. Should be good enough for now. You just need to Odin the EC05 modem, found here. Then flash this delta to update to EL30 modem, found here.
3 steps isn't that bad to get to current stock, given the fact we don't have that official .tar file.
You are in the wrong place. You should post this on Samsung's website. You can have this after Samsung relases a tar. All the money in the world won't get it here.

I got the impression from the OP that what he/she wants is a pre-rooted stock ODIN tar. Can that be done without the modem?

Yes without the modem, not a problem. Toadlife already gave us a stock tar without the modem. It would probably be easy for him to make a prerooted version.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of prerooted EL30 (with modem) + cwm + root. But a 2 step wouldnt be bad... if all one had to do is flash the delta right after odining the rooted EL30 with CWM.

Hit up Toadlife to throw a recovery and superuser into the tar he made then put a link to the modems thread in the OP with it.

I just odin the new update but have to goto work.
Flashable version later today
Uploading an Odin version of the Stock with TWRP added so you can make an nandroid then Odin the new firmware that will update modem also
Once it reboots after the Odin turn phone off boot into recovery and restore your nandroid wipe cache/dalvik and you have the new modem.
Its uploading now I will post in OP once its complete. It's only at 7%
Does the flash in recovery version in the first post include the modem? I see you said flashable modem later.

Have to head to work so will continue later...
Flashable UVALH2 flashes fine but have not tried recovery with it after the Odin flash to get the new modem...
Also I have not tried CWM either no time left...
Flashable version did flash in CWM just fine. Did not include the modem as suspected. Looking forward to a modem soon. Great work, and thank you!!

Yes I can boot to recovery. I just did it to try and flash google now again. I did flash a CWM superuser v3.0.7 zip right after the ROM though, because the possible lack of root was mentioned.
I also just completely debloated it using root explorer.
So if I am running stock rooted right now (not a Rom, true stock) would I be able to flash this right over my setup now? Or do I have to wipe?

Or find a cwm flashable modem and replace the modem.bin in the zip with yours. Then flash with cwm

Which file is kernal in stock package, how to to flash in Odin?

My brother has a At&t gs3 that needs to be sent for warranty. He still has stock firmware except that it's rooted and has a custom recovery. I assume all he has to do is flash the stock kernal to get rid of root and recovery, right? I Downloaded DLK3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968625. The packed contents show 2 .img files, boot.img and recovery.img. Can these be flashed in odin, and is the boot.img the kernal and the recovery.img the recovery? I know that at least from the previous galaxy s models that the kernal was around 5.3 mb. But I may have mistakenly though that the recovery was part of the kernal.

Thank you for your reply. There is a guide to flash the complete package using odin. However, I am not trying to do that. Because where he is currently at, he does not have the bandwidth to download the 730+mb package, thus I am trying to just get him access to the kernal/recovery, so that he can flash that using Odin.

A different recovery can be flashed with the .img file through a terminal emulator on the phone. I am unsure about flashing anything else.
Okay, i found a couple tutorials on making odin flashable files, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484304 and http://www.sxtpdevelopers.com/showthread.php?t=155. I'm just not sure which of the files in the stockfirmware package is the kernel. I'm used to zImage, but don't see that in the list. There is a boot.img whish is 5.48mb, so i assume this is it, but not sure.

The boot.img is separate from the kernel. DO NOT mess with that.. you will definitely brick the phone.. Im no expert on any of this, but really the best way to go about this is with Odin. There is a mobile version of Odin in the play store. Mobile ODIN
Not sure if this is useful to you guys.

[how-to] flash modem/baseband from phone

I have the a way to install baseband if you are rooted, custom, or even on cyanogenmod like I was. When i tried to flash the NE6 baseband i could not get it to work for the life of me. I wanted to flash without PC. This is the little guide I came up with and will post links also so it it easier.
1. Download a Stock NF1 Custom rom. Also download Triangle Away, Rashr, Mobile Odin, Stock Kernel and recovery, and the Modem + NON-HLOS for NF1 Thanks @toastido @Chainfire @DsLNeXuS
2. Now flash stock NF1 rom via custom recovery
3. Once on NF1 firmware and NF1 stock kernel you must flash NF1 stock recovery. I did the via Rashr app
4. Now that you are fully (kernel, rom, recovery) stock rooted you can use triangle away to reset your flash counter
5. Boot back up and use mobile odin to flash NF1 baseband and viola! Updated baseband without having to connect to a computer.
IF THIS HELPED DON'T FORGET TO HIT THANKS.
Thnx, but really, I can wait till I'm around a PC. That's quite the process
Thanks man. No problem. I had to do this as I was on cyanogen and didn't have a PC on hamd
