The game seems to be lagging quite badly on my Nexus 7 whereas its pretty smooth on my Galaxy Nexus. Running motley's kernel with GPU at 484Mhz and no OC

Yes Ive been wondering the same thing tried it last night and it wasn't necessarily laggy but more choppy in parts .... Im going to try batman today and see if its the same
Im running stock, with trinity kernel OC to 1500, no GPU OC my scores were 6900+ so it maybe is the game in some parts?
Did you guys check the force gpu option in the developer settings menu?

yes, lots of people hitting over 7 k
I keep it at 1500 myself, but tried at 1640 with fsync faster, cpu online and force gpu rendering with trinity kernel and stock rom gets you past the 7 k mark, try it
back on topic, seems like batman ran fine not the type of choppiness that was in spiderman, seems like its a game issue.
It's very laggy. Batman runs great but for whatever reason spiderman runs horribly for me.

yeah, same here, the game seems to lag a lot when spidey is swinging and when too much action happens. I am glad it's not just me then, I was so surprised, thinking if a quad core nexus tab can't handle it, what can?

I would go for the non 512 versions.
Trinity-NP-Inferno is what I would run if I had a Nexus Prime (aka Gnex)

You should look at the source for glados (its on rootzwiki) it has an awesome liveoc function that I'm sure you could get on this kernel

You forget where glados came from (ezekeel, ogdobber, francisco, we all worked on nexus s together the past couple months)
I just tend to keep variables small while there is so much to be done.
Allows me to focus on the area worked on and not wonder what patch may have brought on the issue at hand.
So it'll come down the road.

Using the inferno kernel. Antutu scores are lower than ever (like 4400), but I've basically learned to ignore it, because all I get on every rom and kernel are whack ass random results on Antutu.
On the plus side, nenamark2 bumped up from my previous max of 27.7 fps to 31.1. It is actually the first time I've seen a variation in the fps at all, from stock to other overclock kernels.
Sometimes backgrounded apps force close, but I haven't screwed with voltages yet, just running 1350/interactive so far.

I'm impressed. I've been running it for 40 minutes and it's my new favorite kernel. Running the 512mhz GPU version, I get 60FPS in n64oid. If I put it in powersave, the battery won't budge.
just flashed 512 version, can not wait to try this out for a day or two!!!
Checking out the 512 version. I wonder how much stress this causes the GPU? I imagine long sustained use of it at 512 could cause permanent damage to it? I have no idea, just wondering. Meh, who cares.... I get a new phone every 6 months.
Thanks morfic loved ya ever since the great old vibrant days and now look at you a million and a half codes later!

no lag here, what games? its most likely app compatibility.
I don't really play much and OPs claim is very vague but I quickly installed Temple Run and it runs flawless. Also the not very demanding games like Cut the Rope and Where is my water run without problems so far. I recently bought Shadowgun for my Tablet. Maybe I'll try that later but I have no comparison to 4.0.2/3 with this game.

Hi, what u guys (and ladies) think about performance of this phone, I'm not happy at all... I buy hi-end phone with quad core, but for example GTA III seems to be lagging, this game was much more smooth on my Sensation with OC to 1,7. NOVA 3, also is laggy. I'm using viper 1.01 rom with faux kernel, with stock kernel was the same. How are u feelings about this?

Nova is not lagging for me at all. Try the latest kernel of faux(004b6), also use hamdir's gaming guide. About those games being smoother on the sensation, that's sort of to be expected. Those games can't do anything with the tegra 3 because it's not optimized. The developers, especially gameloft, does not care for tegra. They depend on raw power, where as tegra depends on optimization. I'm also using faux kernel with viperrom. Try hamdir's gaming guide, and remember the interactive governor is broken on the latest faux kernel so you should use ondemand.
I think it would've also been more appropriate to post this in the before mentioned gaming thread. You're answer would've been very quickly answered.

I was disappointed with the performance with the One X when I first got it as well. It was getting ****e Quadrant scores. Laggy interface and crap game performance.
I slapped on InsertCoin, flashed Franco's latest kernel, ran V6 supercharger and followed hamdir's gaming guide and it fixed everything. I now get about 800 more points in Quadrant, and games run perfectly smooth.

this is the problem with u people u buy a device n have the burning sensation that the alternative does better
let me tell u this every trick in the gaming guide I actually learned from the sgs2 forums
I guess they really needed all those governor tweaks too, let me tell u something else
don't ever expect full performance out of ur mashine when all default android CPU governors come so heavily tweaked to save battery
the on-demand default only calls full speed at 90% load, the interactive default only calls it at 97% load that's really conservative, the situation is the same on every other device
I remember I had the same gov issue with my sensation stock (In ARHD mike had them optimized) also had the issue with my DHD
android = non game friendly governors that needs to be tweaked
and finally the Asus prime comes with a performance profiles built-in and this app all it does is load the very same optimized values in my guide and scripts
u don't need to read anything just use my scripts, also the latest ARHD has the on demand optimized out of box if u can't bother
oh and nova 3 as well as most GL games runs smooth as butter on sgs3 because GL optimizes for Mali devices and neglect Tegra, maybe because of some unannounced contract
so go get it be happy

I've bought and downloaded NFS Most Wanted from the Play Store on my Nexus 7, however, I have noticed that it stutters and the framerate drops quite considerably at some points.
Just by looking at the clock in the corner I can see that it is not running as fast as it should?
