Ruu question urgent - HTC One X

Hi guys i want to update my HBOOT and RADIO. So i had to return in my official RUU Right till here? My latest RUU file is 1.28 rom and has no OTA update . So my question is how can i get the latest RADIO and HBOOT??

No OTA? No new radio and HBOOT. It's that simple. Well, radio is possible. It's included with ROMs. HBOOT is not though, and can only be upgraded via OTA.

[Q] New HOX, Custom ROM, Updated HBOOT/Radio?

So, first thing I did when I got my HOX was unlock, flash updated boot.img, recovery and ROM.
Now, I'm wondering if I should have done the OTA to get the latest HBOOT (I have 0.43, the 1.29 update has 0.94) and Radio (I have 1.1204.103.14, the 1.29 release has 1.26.401.2).
Question is, can I get and flash these files standalone or do I need to return to stock (stock recovery, relock, RUU, etc...)
Or, should I even worry about updating HBOOT and Radio at this point?
Thanks!

Apparently there is no improvement for many people whith the updated hboot and radio. So it probably wouldn't be worth the hastle, I haven't done it, after all..
If it ain't broke don't fix it

[Q] RUU Update

Hi
I wanted to update my HBOOT and radio to the latest version. I am currently on 1.28.720.10 and now the OTA for 1.29.720.11 is available.
After reading through the OTA Collection Thread I have realised that I need to install my RUU.
I am referring to the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25300458#post25300458
I had a couple of questions:
1. Where can I find the endeavoru_recovery_signed.img? Is it available in the RUU? Can it be extracted the same way as boot_signed.img from RUU?
2. Does installing RUU erase / format the sdcard?
Every time I've updated using a ruu my sd card was untouched, but backup your stuff just incase

Thanks. I did take the backup, bit it was not required. And also found the recovery_signed.bin in the RUU's Rom.zip
Now I have the latest HBOOT ans radio

HBOOT Questions

Ok so i'm on HBOOT 1.12.000 and i'm CID NSTAR301 i want to try cm10 for my phone i've been reading about HBOOT and i've learned it's the phone's bootloader. So If i want to install CM9 i have to flash boot.img (kernel) Will it update my HBOOT? I don't want to update my HBOOT but should i? probably not to the latest but something in between? I'm too confused. Anyone can help me solve my doubts?
Leave your hboot alone for CM10
Flashing a boot.img will not do anything to your hboot version.
Only updating via official sources or flashing a firmware.zip will update your hboot

This topic contains some information to upgrade your Hboot. It is a separate process from flashing a rom.
On stock 4.1.2 with stock recovery update via OTA to 4.2.2 and the hboot should update automatically.
