Can T-Mobile Name ID be ported to CM10?
Related
I was looking under the \windows\ directory of my sprint TP2 and I noticed a picture label Function_WiMAX and Function_WiMAX_Disable with a time stamp of 4/2/08. Is this just a left over file from maybe a beta rom or is there a possible currently disabled WiMAX capability?
As stated in the title, are there any issues using a cdma dialer skin for the tp2 on a gsm version?
Just wanted to double check, sorry if it's a goofy Q
Hey all,
Im trying to use Rhodium Keys Remapper in a ROM im making, and for some reason it is not working.
Im thinking its because i have the wrong [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Ident] Name set.
Can anyone verify what it is for the TMobile TP2?

Do you mean with a stock T-Mo ROM? On my T-Mo (USA) TP2 that reg key says "fireSTORM LEO", but that's because that's the custom ROM I'm running.

I don't know if it helps, but the Model ID of the T-Mobile TP2 is RHOD210. You could also try Rhodium since that's how the TP2 is usually addressed in XDA software.
Thanks everyone, im gonna try out RHOD210, im hoping this is what was preventing the Rhodium Keymapper from working on my ROM!
Take care.
right-top of lock screen, it show the carrier name, like Sprint.
which file store this string, I had try to modify spn-conf.xml, but no effect
I attach one image, hope someone can help me
Well with me it never shows anything there for some reason (on 3 network) but it never botherd me though.
But I do kno that the text is generated through the system font as I messd mine up while editing before and it all went skeyways. Maybe whatever symbols are making up your character name arnt included in that build? (Chinese characters maybe)
That would be my first guess anyway.
I add chinese fonts under /system/fonts, other chinese character display normal except this.
Originally the carrier name comes straight from the cell tower, it is not encoded on any system files.
On my G1, the libhtc_ril.so file contains a huge table of strings for mapping from the cell tower name to the name that gets displayed. libhtc_ril.so is a proprietary library that comes from HTC. On the XDandroid builds they're using a lib-generic-ril or something, which is all open source and does not contain this table of names, so you're getting the name directly as it was broadcast on your cellphone network.
thanks
I use china telecom CDMA, does this store at prl file. cellphone network broadcast may be "china telecom(translate to chinese)"
settings->mobile network->network carrier(select an carrier)->show 3 items:
china mobile
china unicom
china unicom
in fact, this should be:
china mobile
china unicom
china telecom
Thanks everyone, finally, I solved.
Can not show CJK characters, so I modify libhtcgeneric-ril.so, translate CJK characters to english.
Dear XDA-Developer Forum Community:
I have a HTC Touch Pro2 Device I bought sometime back. However, I am having a problem with the Current Operator Name not displaying the correct name. Please do allow me to explain below:
The Service Provider Name found at [HKL\Comm\Cellular\RIL\EONS.cache\spn] Service Provider Name = Airtel KE; is correct.
However, the Current Operator Name found at [HKLM\System\State\Phone] Current Operator Name = CELTEL; is not correct.
Further, the Carrier Name found at [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RIL] CarrierName = Airtel KE is correct.
I would like to request you all who are familiar with this, to assist me with the details on how to edit and enable the registry so as the Current Operator Name is set to show the actual and correct Service Provider Name and Carrier Name.
I will appreciate your detailed response very much.
Regards,
Paul.
Are you having problems editing the registry...? It seems like you've done a fair amount of research on what to edit, perhaps HKLM\System\State\Phone isn't edit-able...?
